Really unhygienic for a dental office. The heat was on full blast, making it feel like 90 degrees in the middle of winter. There are no sinks in the exam room, so no rinsing of debris from your mouth. The X-ray tech did not place the plastic coverings on the equipment. They touched uncovered surfaces with the same gloves as they touched my mouth--and I only noticed this after all my X-rays were done. Then the dentist came in, looked at my (fuzzy) X-rays for maybe 30 seconds, and diagnosed 3 root canals. When I asked for more details, she seemed frustrated. I won't be going back. read more

For starters the front office staff are very pleasant on the telephone as well as in person. The waiting area is clean and inviting, and extremely accommodating. There used to be an excellent manager who was kind and patient when explaining complicated medical information and billing. Recently, however, it seems a new manager or front desk staff member has been hired, and their demeanor is quite different. This individual is consistently rude and condescending to patients who don't understand something, and they openly speak negatively about coworkers in front of patients. Previously I would make an appointment at CHC Dental in Norwalk, they would refer me to another dentist and I would have the work done on the same day. This morning during my visit to LRDS the front receptionist staff didn't inform the dentist of the reason for my visit. They did not remember that during my call I explained to them that had emailed my x-rays weeks ahead of time. So when the receptionist came in the exam room to explain to me why I needed to come back and could not have my dental work done, she could not explain to me the reason for the x-rays. I said my thoughts (aloud) stating I waste an entire morning, which to my alarm the receptionist said I was being RUDE! Shocked and confused I said (out loud) I don't need this, I can go elsewhere., to my surprise again she, "Yup you sure can!" then stormed out the exam room. I went out the receptionist area and couldn't get two words out because the ANGRY receptionist insisted on over-talking me. When I tried to calmly explain what happened to my horror the ANGRY receptionist yelled my insurance information out for God, Country and everyone waiting in the reception area to hear. I said, "Oh really you're just going disclose my health insurance for everyone to hear and to my horror she yelled, "You're crazy!". read more

The hygienist was courteous and listened when I mentioned I had a sensitive tooth that needed to be worked around. However, she insisted that we schedule a filling repair that Invisalign slightly broke a week ago. The dentist said it was minor and could be fixed after my program ended. Which is exactly what the dentist overseeing my Invisalign said. So, that's my only complaint and it's petty, but worth mentioning, Went for a checkup/cleaning. Took their time and did a good job. The cleaning was mediocre at best, they didn't go deep enough to get rid of all the tarter. I was another dentist 3 months later and they completely agree. This establishment is the worst Please take time and look around for another dental office. I promise you wont regret it. They extracted 4 of my back teeth that my other dentist in Bridgeport said didn't need to be extracted. They use dirty tools in your mouth that smells like other people spit. Extremely rude dentist (Asian lady) ! Rude receptionist. Literally everyone there is miserable and RUDE , I can't begin to tell you how uncomfortable I was. The dentist had the audacity to ask if I did drugs just because I came in for botched crowns and my teeth had decayed where the crowns were.. why would she assume it's due to drugs? Judging me based off my appearance? Because I look Spanish?? Because I wasn't coming in in my nicest clothes? I was completely offended! Never have I ever touched drugs in my life! I am a professional! A teacher at a public school!! How dare you try and make me feel less than who I am due to you being prejudice! made me so uncomfortable ! ..The asian dentist should lose her job !!!!! I had an appointment for 11:45 am. At the front desk, the ladies seemed really nice and I mean no disrespect to them. Was told however that my paperwork, which I had filled out online was never received. NBD, I filled it out while I was there. By 12:15 PM, I had had enough of the waiting and told them that this place would not work out for me as I cannot stand practices that do not respect my time. Is there an office out there that won't keep you waiting more than 15 minutes? I would really like to know. My son had all four of his wisdom teeth removed in May. The dentist and his assistant was excellent. His assistant put my son a ease and so did the dentist.. They spent time talking to him about the procedure before they started then talked him though the extractions. He had all the teeth out in seven minutes. We were both so surprised. My son said he worried for nothing. Went back for his cleaning in June and Jen Urban did a fantastic job on his teeth!! She was very knowledgeable and gave him lots of tips for keeping his teeth healthy! read more

I got all four of my wisdow teeth removed the same morning and I am terrified of needles! At my request, I was explained the procedure step by step then given laughing gas and I was talked through the whole procedure! It all felt so quick and I felt no pain or discomfort. They were great! I've also had a cleaning done as well as a filling and it was all great! They are so patient with pain in the butt clients like me!! read more

Got my teeth cleaned here yesterday. The oral hygienist was amazing, her name is Fatiha. She was very gentle and careful when it came to not hurting my gums and mouth. I have a permanent bottom retainer and the teeth around it were cleaned thoroughly. I would suggest going to her. read more

This is an EXCELLENT and FRIENDLY practice! My mother was in town visiting and suddenly had very bad tooth pain, we called this office and got a same-day appointment to be seen by the general dentist. They did a thorough evaluation and prescribed antibiotics for an infected molar. He told her the tooth would need to come out though eventually but should be cooled down with antibiotics first. BUT then a few days later over the weekend, it suddenly got dramatically worse with excruciating pain, we called the office and they accommodated her that SAME DAY, on SATURDAY!!! Because the tooth had to be extracted that day, we saw the specialty surgeon Dr. Bangiyev (i remember that name because it is sounds cool and is fun to say) and he could not have been more patient, kind and skillful with my mother. He came in on HIS DAY OFF and spent ALMOST TWO HOURS with my mom. He was kind and patient the entire time without any hint of being upset about being interrupted on his day off (Like i would have been). It was amazing how patient calm and compassionate he was with my mom!! After the procedure, my mom felt so much better and was so touched by how nice and patient he was with her she cried in the office (she is a crier but only when very sweet and touching things happen:) Everything after that went well and she was able to spend the rest of her trip happy and pain-free. ALSO - Dr. Bangiyev CALLED MY MOM AT HOME SATURDAY NIGHT and then again two days later, just to check in on her and see how she was doing!!!!!! I could not be more impressed or happy with that level of dedication and service. Thank you Dr. Bangiyev!!! read more

UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I was told by the dentist that I needed a basic filling back in March of this year. I booked the appt but the original dentist wasn't available. I go in for my filling and they wanted to do a route canal. I was upset and spoke with the manager who also said it is for my best interest to have a root canal, the manager said he would give me a call back in a few days after speaking with my insurance. I waited a week and he never called me back so I called Long Ridge Dental back to follow up with him and they recommended another x-ray I went in for the x-ray they said it would take four to six weeks to get the results before I have an answer. I waited and I still did not receive an answer so after that I called again and they said I needed a third x-ray and they said it will only take 4 to 6 weeks. I received a follow-up call from the dentist office July 16th saying that I'm all set and need to schedule an appointment, it is now August 7th 2019 and I'm trying to schedule the appointment and guess what they said I need another x-ray that means for x-rays more radiation this dentist office is unprofessional, unreliable, Liars, management refused of get back to me, I would never recommend them to anyone, they are con artists in a bunch of crooks. Whatever you do do not go to them and if you do do not listen to what they have to say they are bunch of liars and criminals they should go out of business. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau regarding this establishment! SHAME ON YOU! read more

Normally I wouldn't write anything about this. But I Strongly believe it has to be shared i had to get some Dental work done. And what they did was make my problem worse and I had Medicare and Medicaid insurance and a Dental care insurance so nether way i had insurance for the work they're going to do and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!!!!!. And I have been with them for over 20 years now and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody else .. the people and the Dentist doctors are not very professional and they don't have any Professional experience in Dentistry at all and I strongly believe and recommend that the State of Connecticut look into this matter regarding the fact that I had to go to another Dentistry to get the work done. Second to worst dental office. First Visit: Front desk - they act like its frat party house, they are obnoxious, noisy, bitch at each other about things...First visit earlier this month after my older son was already taken back the blonde receptionist asked if I had been helped, I said yes (younger son was with me) about 20 minutes later she asked if I could come up to the counter, I asked why, she said what is your son's name and pointed at my younger son, I told her the patient was already in the back...IDIOTS! How can you not notice that you already called back the patient? Then my older son came out and told me they forgot to use the vest on him while taking xrays. After calling the office the next day to inquire about a few things (urgent things not being scheduled right away and non urgent being scheduled and the vest issue and front desk dilemma) The woman who took the xrays tried to deny it then blamed another assistant. The office manager from the Bridgeport office, Michael then called. After we spoke he called back and we discussed the issues and I was asked to speak to one specific receptionist (cant recall her name maybe Stacy?) For his second visit. Second Visit: Like the first scheduled at 530pm showed up early. 545 "Stacy" stated that they were finishing getting the room set up for cleaning/fillings. 6ish they finally called him back, he texted me at 615 stating he was still waiting for the dr. Cleaning done they didnt take care of the fillings. Scheduled next visit, was told it would take 1.5 hours, I asked that it be scheduled at 530 again, they said no, it had to be earlier. I asked why if they close at 7 that is enough time....ended up calling Michael back, he got everything scheduled. (including the oral surgeon for wisdom tooth extraction) Third appointment - never happened. Received about 6 calls, only one voicemail stating due to the snow, canceled. Fourth appointment: Oral surgeon, my son was asked twice what the visit was for...once by the oral surgeon and once by an employee...wisdom teeth extracted, a woman I thought was the dr came out and started to address the receptionist and she in turn started to question the prescriptions - me not knowing at that point these were for my son. (To me it sounded like the receptionist was writing the prescription) then my son comes out and thats when I realized they were for my son, I turned and asked who exactly was writing the prescription. Three prescriptions later, one for a strong narcotic that was NOT necessary....and one for motrin and amoxicillin. I also saw that the prescriptions were "signed" by two different doctors, my son only saw the oral surgeon.And then he was given 1 extra gauze (I wasnt aware until after we were home for several hours and my son needed more...I asked him how many gauze pads he was given...Totally dumbfounded that with two extractions you give a patient one pad. I told my son I will be looking for a new dentist this evening for him as he now doesnt trust this office. Also if you notice not a single dr is listed on the site. They never introduced me to any of the doctors that my son was seeing either I will also be calling and filing an official complaint with the insurance company and the state. The professionalism of this office is poor. When there are 6+ people behind the counter - the loud noise level of the gossiping, scheduling, giving out personal information for whomever is in the office to hear....all I can say is wow. Being friendly and being professional are two absolutely different things! read more

Horrible experience. They told me that a deep cleaning was necessary and the insurance would have paid almost for sure. So I did it. But after I did the deep cleaning the insurance determined it was not necessary at all, so the dentist office told me that it was ok not to pay for the deep cleaning. Of course verba volant, scripta manent. It was not in writing. After 10 months their Acc Dept sends me a letter because they want payment. I sent them 3 emails to remind them that they already told me I didn't have to pay. They never replied to my emails and sent another letter mentioning "collection" if I don't pay. So I sent a letter to explain again and remind them that anyways they did a bad job on one of my teeth (a bit of filling fell out) and also one day they canceled an appointment because of the snow and they never informed me, they said they sent me a voice mail but it was not true, I never received it. I also wrote they should apologize and not be so aggressive asking for payment and mentioning collection after they told me I didn't have to pay for that deep cleaning. I also put the check in the envelope as I don't like to waste time and complain for a few hundred dollars. I was hoping they would at least call me to apologize. What they did? They cashed the check and never called me or emailed me. Money they wanted, money they got. Bur they lost a customer. read more

Every staff member I came across was professional & attentive. Dr.Jen did an amazing job with the cleaning. She acted like I owe her a dollar, treating me not as a customer, but as someone who's distracting her from something really important. She really needs to learn the customer service. Overall I had a very positive experience with Doctor B and staff. Worst dental experience ever! The front desk staff are ghetto, rude and unwelcoming! Not a clean office at all, older machines equipment and rooms are divided off by mini-blinds. You can hear everything going on in the next room like you in the room with that person. Very uncomfortable. I've had 4 issues with this place and will never ever go back. 3 issues with scheduling, once I was scheduled at 9:30am for an emergency visit - dental pain. At 8am my phone was ringing off the hook and a message was left asking where I was and why i didn't show up to my appointment. I called back and told they scheduled me for 9:30am. They proceeded to argue with me and she I did come in they made me wait an hour, like they we're punishing me. Then, I scheduled a cleaning went at time they told me and they made me wait 39 mins only to call me up to the desk and tell me they overbooked and would have to reschedule my appointment. I was pissed but rescheduled. Came to rescheduled appointment and the pulled the same crap! I flipped out though and they "fit me in" - waited an hour to see the hygienist, she was a foreign girl who was very brash and seemed annoyed she had to see me. She cleaned half of my teeth then said be right back. I didn't see her again so another hour. During that time some other girl came in to take my X-rays. When the hygienist came back she rushed through my cleaning and got up, said the doctor will be in to see you and I never saw her again. No, nice meeting you, thanks for coming, nothing!!! Doctor came in...I have a long history with bad dental issues-horrible genetics. The doctor seemed annoyed too and kept saying I had to take better care if my teeth, I tried explaining my history with her but she seemed uninterested. Went to pay when I was done and they were super pushy trying to get me to schedule appointments. I said it would have to wait but they kept on pushing me until I got snotty and told them I'd call when I had money. After leaving my phone has rang up to 5 times a week, with them trying to get me to schedule appointments. This has been ongoing for the past 6 months. The other day was the straw that broke the camels back. They just scheduled an appointment for me and sent me a text and an email reminder. When I called to say I never made an appointment receptionist was super rude telling me I had to. I know I didn't especially from the time and date if the appointment. I would never make an appointment at 9am on a Monday. I work!!! I'm done with this place. I've already switched dentist and never plan on going back or recommending this establishment to anyone! read more

I saw a Dr Y at this location. The equipment is not the latest. I had a filling and a root canal. Technically, there were no problem with either, at least not yet. But for both times, this dentist left me sitting there while attending to another customer or just walked away or to answer the phone--with my mouth ajar, under medications. They seem to regularly double book, not sure whether it's company policy or dentist's choice. If price or insurance is not a consideration, I will find somewhere else. read more

Long Ridge Dental is a terrific dental place to go in Stamford, Ct. It is one of the best places that takes good care of your teeth. Jennifer is one of the BEST hygienist they employ. She cares about her job and taking care good care of your teeth. I always book her because she explains what she is doing and takes her time with. Mu husband is also a fan. Visited for the first time with my 2 daughters and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our hygienist, Jen Urban was wonderful with my children and was extremely patient - answering each of the 10 million questions they asked of her. Dr. Jawa met with us and was also so wonderful and knowledgeable. It was my youngest daughter's first trip to the dentist and she left there smiling from ear to ear - that really says something! Seems like the below reviews were all about the front desk in which case they must've hired new folks because everyone I dealt with at the front desk were nothing but friendly and courteous. My husband and I are already thinking about leaving our current practice to join Long Ridge Dental. I highly recommend this practice to anyone and especially those with children. Never thought I would be writing a dental office review ha. I purchased a groupon for the teeth whitening zoom process and I was a little hesitant but I have no regret! I know that businesses offer groupons to get new customers in their doors, so instead of going in all defensive I knew that maybe they may want information besides the groupon and I was open to getting information (I have been looking for a new dental office). I took a chance because my groupon expired the day I thought I made an appointment (I didn't confirm so I didn't really have one, totally my fault). They were friendly and professional but not stuffy. I think one of the ladies that worked there had her daughter stop by to say hello and I really liked that. She was attentive to me while also acknowledging her daughter. I loved that it's not a stuffy place yet very clean, updated and professional. Back to my groupon, because of the mix up I was understanding of the fact that it was my responsibility so I tried as anyone else would to see if they would extend it, AND THEY DID!!!! So I made an appointment and yesterday I went in for the zoom and ended up getting a routine teeth cleaning (it was totally up to me trust me I'm hard to fall for things). They informed me that I should have a recent dental cleaning before I do the zoom so that the teeth whiten at their most potential. They said I could either go to my regular dentist or get the cleaning there. After making sure to check if my insurance would cover the dental cleaning, they were flexible and resourceful and figured it all out. They were very understanding that I had an appointment and that making another one for a cleaning can be a little frustrating with my job schedule. Oscar and Nikolima (sorry if I misspelled it) were amazing. Nikolima was professional yet very friendly and welcoming and full of great information. Both Oscar and her were GREAT!!! I can't say enough not pushy but gave appreciated information and options just as the Dentist did (can't remember her name sorry). The rooms were very clean, and there was no unprofessional conversations with the coworkers (I know it happens but I didn't hear it). Everyone that worked there had a professional and friendly demeanor when talking to eachother. On to the zoom - I am someone who likes to know as much as I can before I do something so I watched a bunch of videos and read reviews of zoom. It was what I expected which was great (scary when you go to a place and you know they should be using things correctly). I sat through 3 sessions. The hardest part is to sit still and not move, the slightest move will move the lazer away from your mouth and thank God Oscar was right near the room I was able to flag him down and he was able to help fix it. First 2 times felt no pain just lips get warm kind of like sitting out in the sun for awhile. The third time I started feeling a few sharp zings on some of my teeth. As they explained it was expected and went away. You will also feel some of the quick sharp zinging pain throughout the day after- I took some Advil and had no pain throughout the night or today. Results are great! They estimated right on the level I would end up. I felt no pressure to purchase anything extra. I decided to become a new patient and for anyone that is debating going or trying the groupon when they offer it again I highly recommend it. read more

I recently got a cleaning done by Jen Urban, and I am so happy with her work. She's very passionate about what she does and takes her time to make sure its done well.
