Stumbled upon this on a voyage to discover and experience all of Louisville metro parks locations. Very beautiful with lots to do. Has very nice soccer fields, tennis courts, a beautiful creek, a tiny but neat nature trail up a hill, a fun playground, a cool treehouse and a big gazebo area that can be rented out for the day. I can imagine for the locals this is a nice relaxing spot to enjoy great weather and nature and let there kids play. It's really is one of the more pretty parks I've visited in the Louisville area. Plus I imagine it's less populated then Tom Sawyer park locate nearby so it is more relaxing. Overall awesome park. I'm glad we found It. I enjoyed the views and the kids had a blast on the pretty elaborate and creative playground. It's a park that I'll absolutely make a return trip to.

There was a basketball court but the rims were removed, as well as the swings... not sure if this was due to covid or it was like that before. There is also a good-sized parking lot with plenty of space. It's not a park I would go out of my way for, but I could imagine it being a nice place to go for the neighbors, or if you already happen to be in the area.

The equipment seemed a bit aged but in good, clean condition. There were play options for toddlers as well as older kiddos and several swings. There is also ample greenspace for the zoomies, which looks over the river. We watched a few barges float by while there. This would also be a great place for a quiet lunch by the river. There were not many people in this park when we were there. We will be back with the kids!

Broad run is an amazing and massive park already with tons to do. However this particular playground and Sprayground is by far the most popular attraction in not only the broad run park but I'd say all of the parklands park systems. Very large and creative playground and Sprayground that are a tons of fun. I've taken all my kids here several times over the last 10 plus years and it is always a blast. They have two covered sections with picnic tables for you to pack a lunch and dry off out of the what or other weather elements. They also have indoor restroom facilities on site at the entrance of the spray and play grounds. Overall a really cool and fun place and one of my favorite places to take my kids. Great place for a family to have tons of fun and for free. Just another amazing perk of broad run park and the parklands park system.

Plenty of walkers, runners, bikers, dog walkers, recreational users (frisbees and kites), tailgaters, and drivers today. We stopped to catch a break near the top of the hill at Hogan's Fountain. The water fountains and faucets (to fill up dog bowls) were all operational today in mid-March. Restroom facilities were also open.

It also host an annual fireworks display and periodic farmers markets. The park offers a decent walking path. Along the path are various trees and plaques identifying them. I also love the swings! Several children enjoy the playground and it was recently updated. Others features include a volleyball court, gazebos and tables for picnics. There's plenty of green space too if you want to throw down a blanked and read. Parking spaces are available around the park or in nearby neighborhood streets. Near the playground is a little library.

Visited my Mother-in-law this past weekend and my husband decides to walk her 2 cute pug puppies…read moreand 1 mutt to the park. I figured it's your average park with grass and a playground but wow it was a beautiful park with acres of water, picnic areas, and a playground. The ducks and geese's roamed wild and free on the larger waterfront and on the other pond I saw people with fishing poles fishing away. Not sure if they caught anything but they looked like they where enjoying their time. It was nice and relaxing. A good place to walk, great place to chill.
