My friends and I stumbled upon Long Story Short on Black Friday when we realized the deli next door was closed. It's a very small, but cute coffee shop with various drinks and a short food menu. You order at the counter, and the staff brings the food and drinks to your table. I ordered the tiramisu latte, which was delicious. The espresso was smooth and the drink wasn't too sweet. I also ordered the avocado toast, which was fresh and flavorful. It's a very cute place with really good coffee and good food! I highly recommend it!
This place was so cute! We stumbled upon it after eating lunch nearby and the coffee was delicious. The barista gave great recommendations and made the coffee very quick. We recommended it to a few friends staying nearby as well and they enjoyed it too!
Cute place but parking lot is cramped and packed, the food and drinks are good but a bit overpriced. The inside of small, but does have some seating available. They offer a student discount which is nice. Service was great, everyone was super sweet.
Best pistachio matcha EVER. They line the cups with this "pistachio butter" that is sooo good. Love how they put the flowers on the cups too!
You know what I love? An egg sandwich done right. And at Long Story Short they do it right! Located right in the midst of downtown Boca Ratón along a strip mall is where you'll find this quaint yet trendy little cafe. I became very familiar with the area since I stayed in a nearby hotel for work and on the morning I had available to explore, I found Long Story Short while walking around. I ordered the Egg Sammy with Avocado and can truly say I enjoyed every bite. They scramble their egg with butter and pair it with avocado--now, I'm a big texture person and if there's one thing I love is the combination of eggs and avocado tucked away in some yummy bread and melted cheddar cheese. Somehow they managed to make this indulgent breakfast sandwich feel rather healthy--perhaps it was the side salad they pair it with (you know...balance!) or the way they wrap it and present it. All I know it was delicious and next time I find myself in the area for breakfast, I'll definitely be ordering it again. The service was good! The person who took my order was very friendly. Long story short cafe is a must try!
Everything about this place was incredible. From the attention to detail with the little flowers taped onto the cups, to the friendly staff, this cafe is for sure a beautiful morning paradise. Love it. 5 stars.
I've now been here twice, and was as impressed the second time as I was the first. This is local gem, a family operated cafe, with folk who are clearly dedicated to presenting the freshest of food options, with oversized portions, made carefully and "with love". The first time I met "big brother LE" who prepared two incredible "pressed sandwiches", each one artistically presented, and with so much food, it could have easily been shared by two. The second time I met Le's younger brother KOI, who made a hot cappuccino, and recommended the freshly made PUMPKIN SEED LOAF. I have written that in ALL CAPS, because I wanted it to pounce off the screen into your brains!!!it was DELICIOUS. FRESH. SPRINKLED WITH FRESH REAL PUMPKIN SEEDS. Le was present when I complemented Koi on its tastiness, and he explained that because they did not have an oven on-site, they used an oven at home to make it and then bring it into the cafe. Dedicated, creative, hardworking family, and the cafe is always occupied by one or two of the children, and often with either the Mom or Dad. Younger locals operate the register and usually make their well prepared specialty coffees, and one of the family members makes their numerous shakes/smoothies/drinks. And it appears the smoothies are very popular . We observed several people ordering their specialty smoothies each time we were present. But honestly, take my advice and try one of their sandwiches or salads. We had the SIMP, overflowing with smashed Avocado, Honey Smoke Turkey, Tomatoes, Micro Greens, Olive Oil Drizzle, served on a fresh French-like bread, and then heated in the presser, with a golden browned finished pressed sandwich. Served with a large side of freshly cut fruit, it surely was a healthy meal. Seating for 8 inside, including two two topped tables and 4 at the counter. The cafe was immaculate. And the patio seating area had seating for only about 6. The bathroom was immaculate, the entire cafe was! Located next door to the bagel place, which is very popular, patrons are often those eating/drinking, at the patio tables belonging to Long Story Short. You all shouldn't do that and I'm sure you realize what you're doing - please don't hog the tables meant for the coffee shop patrons. That's not really nice. At all. LONG STORY SHORT is a God-send locally operated family business. They likely out their life savings into the enterprise and deserve all the support that Yelpers know how to offer! See my many photos and you'll get a good idea what you'll be missing if you don't support LONG STORY SHORT.
Long story short I love this charming cafe! You can find Long Story in Mizner Plaza across the street from Mizner Park. Their menu is mainly sandwiches, drinks, coffee and tea, smoothies, and acai. They have a few tables inside and a few more out front. I first fell in love with Butterfly Pea Flower at Blu Arroz Asian Bistro in Stuart. It is an amazing restaurant if you ever find yourself up that way. They make a Butterfly Pea Flower Tea that it is made from a dried, cobalt blue flower that is native to Southeast Asia. Are you ready for a laugh? Its scientific name is Clitoria ternatea. It has a bright blue color and it is sometimes used as a food coloring. I don't see it used as an ingredient too often where I live so when bright blue drinks started popping up on my Yelp feed I knew I had to come in and try them out. I came in on a late Saturday afternoon and ordered a lavender latte tea which uses the flower. You can also have the drink made with coffee. I was handed my bright blue drink and it was perfect with the right amount of sweetness. It tastes like a less intense Chai tea which they also serve. Best of all my drink was only $5 which is a pretty good price for Boca. I'm already addicted to the lavender tea so I'll be back to try some of the food next. time like their famous Japanese sando sandwich made with fresh cream and strawberries.
Long Story Short is a cute little cafe in Boca Raton. Located in a little strip mall right next to Mizner Park alongside a lot of small businesses. All the times I've come to Mizner Park, I never knew this plaza existed so I'm happy I ventured here to work for a little. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and although it is a small location, it gives you all the cafe feels! Their decor matches how beautiful their food and drinks are. I have been on the hunt for Japanese sandos & butterfly pea drinks and this place has them both! Sometimes, food doesn't taste as good as it looks but this place did not disappoint! The Japanese fruit sando has a whipped cream and strawberries and it wasn't overly sweet. The Lavender Iced Tea was so good and I was able to substitute with oat milk! They have wifi so it was a great place to work from with snacks and lunch items. Excited for the next time I'm in Boca to try more of their menu items.
I want to begin with my love for this plaza. This unassuming little strip mall is packed with intense flavors, local eats. Can I move in?! Despite being a very small space, this Cafe packs a punch! I was already a fan after my last visit, where I was able to meet the charming owner. This visit, I was so happy to see a steady stream of patrons keeping 3 smiley folks behind the counter on their toes. I was lucky enough to try their Japanese Sando, which isn't always in stock. I had read about these and was thrilled to be trying it out. The crusts-off white bread sandwich reminded me of a dainty English high tea, with the gluttony goodness of homemade whipped cream and giant, whole strawberries beckoning. The bread offset the sweetness of the middle and provided a nice texture against the cream and berry. It tasted as amazing as it sounds! My chai tea without sweetener was also reliably as good as last time. Complimentary wi-fi and a table and chairs outside- on the front sidewalk practically pressed into he facing parked cars- was a weird but functional space to work while sipping and snacking. My friend and I stayed for a couple of hours; perfect place for this!
I could write and rave about this amazing establishment and the lovely owner Belle for months, but Long Story Short: Warmest welcome ever on a Saturday 32 minutes before closing by the one and only Miss Belle. No rush and she just hung out and talked to us in her lovely English accent. Never seen such a beautiful menu that spans the globe - Korean, Indian, Asian Cubano, ( photo)Japanese specialty sandwiches. Huge and delicious sandwiches and toasts - fav being the Simp with avocado smashed over sourdough with honey smoked turkey, tomatoes,micro green, chia seeds and olive oil drizzle ...... OMG! Delicious and fresh Açaí as well. The best Lavender Iced chai latte served with so much love and care- "Ray, please let me know if I could add a shot of espresso to your Lavender latte for you". Refreshing English rose iced tea on the house. The vibe is just fantastic. Belle's love and energy is off the charts and that seeps over( pun intended) to the lovely organic coffees, teas, the food and us, the lucky customers. The interior is gorgeous. ( photo). There also are comfy seats and tables outside. Open 7 days. Mizner Park just got a huge upgrade.
The name is cute and means great coffee, well maybe since they serve Wells Coffee that is excellent. The barista Kylie presented herself in a professional manner with a fun personality. Seemed like every customer that walked in knew and loved her. Only a few small tables inside with additional counter bartop seating and two optional outside patio tables but way too hot today for that experience although does provide a long view of Mizner Park across the street. The decor was strong bohemian themed with hanging plant ladders and even a blue vintage pay phone although no dial tone. The visually appealing space created a relaxed but fun atmosphere. Kylie brewed us a double espresso presented in a mini porcelain cup rather than the boring paper cup. Very strong coffee with a nice nutty aroma. The choices for a pastry was thin today and they were out of the blueberry muffins. The gender neutral bathroom matched the cute decor of the café with navy blue walls and porcelain tan tile floors. We didn't love our experience here sadly. We popped in for some coffee and we had to wait a little while before any worker was there, she must have popped out. She apologized when coming back but it was a little odd, we waited about five mins or so. I told her I was considering the tiramisu latte or the pistachio latte and I was hoping she could help steer me in a direction. I asked what she thought between the two and she clearly found my question odd bc there was a long pause before she said it depends what I'm in the mood for. Which isn't very helpful at all lol. And she said it with a bit of sass, like what a dumb question to ask. I don't think my question was that outlandish, many places have specific favorites or recommendations. After discovering the tiramisu latte relies on the cream top that can only be made using cream and no non-dairy products, I decided against that one. Without the cream top, it's just a vanilla latte she told us. Typically the pistachio latte is made with syrup and a pistachio butter but she said even the pistachio butter is made with condensed milk. We wanted to confirm paying for a pistachio latte would be the same as paying for a latte with syrup added and she said it would, but again she seemed kinda annoyed or impatient by our questions. Not friendly service at all. It came out to $8 for an iced latte ($1 for non-dairy milk) in an albeit cute container but it was just subpar. read more

From the moment I entered this beautifully adorned coffee shop, my experience was 10/10! Kylie helped me at the register and she was an absolute PLEASURE. I ordered the drip coffee with a shot of espresso and almond milk. It was fantastic. Dark, smooth and creamy, just the way I like it. I also ordered the egg sammy which came with avocado, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and spicy aoli on a croissant. It was so delicious!!! The interior design was also so cute! I love the grass wall inside. There are a few tables. I sat here for a while doing some computer work. It was quiet. Really enjoyed my experience here. I will be back! read more

This place was super super cute! Located right on the outskirts of Mizner park, it's tucked away into a nice little plaza. It's decorated so wonderfully and has such upbeat and happy vibes. The aesthetics are very Instagram worthy! Loved the little green plant wall! Lots of space to sit outdoors and a few places indoors. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. It was delicious! I also really appreciated that there was a sugar free vanilla syrup, which is a healthy option that most artisanal coffee shops don't have (usually it's just Starbucks). My only qualm about this place was that my drink was over $6. I feel like that's a bit pricey, but it was delicious so I'll definitely come back every now and then. Still, 5/5 stars because I don't really factor price into the rating unless it isn't worth it. This was deff worth the $6, although I wish it was less expensive. Will definitely be back here!!! I'd heard a lot about this place and finally made it a point to stop in today! My partner and I couldn't believe we had never stopped in before - the shop was incredibly cute. I ordered the Lavender Iced Tea Latte which was amazing and just a touch sweet. I do however wish the baristas asked what milk option we'd prefer for each drink. They barely said a word to us and it would've felt a little more personal. My boyfriend did an iced mocha and he was head over heels for it! We will definitely be back. read more

Great coffee and food matches with a cute shop and really friendly service. We came on a Saturday around 11 and it was busy but we were able to get a spot inside. They have three or so tables inside and outside. They have the standard coffee drinks but quite the variety of food. They have smoothies, toasts, salads and sandwiches. My partner got the chicken curry sandwich and I got long story short acai bowl. They don't have coffee but they do have espresso based drinks so I got an Americano. The acai bowl was nothing mind blowing in terms of flavor but really well made and I liked the mix of everything. It came with bananas, strawberry, kiwi, granola, peanut butter and cacao nibs. My partner loved his sandwich. It was a good size and the flavor was good. The bread was an unexpected surprise. Very soft and fluffy on the inside but crunchy on the inside. Like a well done ciabatta. I really appreciated that everything was freshly made for both of our orders. You can tell it was all good quality. Americano was good. Parking was a little tough since the parking lot is for the whole strip mall which was really busy. They have someone working to make sure its only for patrons at the attached shops since all the other parking around here requires payment. read more

Good matcha. Wished it was hotter, but it is a good quality matcha at least. They ran out of agave syrup unfortunately. Will try again, but will ask to ensure matcha is hotter. Good service. read more

I've been hearing a lot about this cafe lately, so I finally wanted to check it out! I got one of their drinks if the week, the Swedish chocolate cream cold brew. What I liked about it was the thickness of the cream on top. I wasn't a fan of the flavor, it was very bitter akin to 80% dark chocolate flavor. The cashier recommended a shot of syrup, as he warned it wouldn't be sweet. Even with the simple syrup shot, it wasn't sweet at all. Unfortunately they seem to be following the trend of expensive coffee in Boca, as this one was $8. I'm starting to worry that we'll never go back to the old prices of good coffee/lattes read more
The cutest new little shop I ever did see! We really have to appreciate an aesthetically pleasing cafe. Since a lot of us either work from home or are traveling into town, being inside of a place that's both adorable and calming is KEY. This place is that. I came in just wanting a small bite and realized the menu was pretty awesome. Sandwiches, acai bowls, smoothies, drinks. A great selection especially for what I wanted. I opted for a smoothie and avocado toast, did not disappoint. My only thing is I wish I had gotten a fried egg instead of scrambled on my toast, no big deal though. I recommend trying something new every time. The menu is interesting and the place is really cute. It's located in a little shopping center towards the end on the right hand side (you'll know what I mean when you drive in ) 5 stars for service as well! Can't wait to go back! read more
My first time at Long Story Short. I tried the cold brew with roasted marshmallow and hazelnut with cold foam on top. The perfect sweetness with the strong coffee flavor in the background. I will definitely stop here whenever I visit Nice Barber Studio in the same plaza. read more

Long Story Short Cafe is a hop and a skip away from Mizner Park, which makes this the ideal location to get your weekend shopping spree started. Their menu is loaded with a TON of incredible-sounding options and it was tough to decide on one thing. I ultimately decided on the Dragon Me Up smoothie and let me tell you, this was the healthy kickstart to the morning I was looking for. Loaded with coconut water, mango, pineapple, banana, spinach, and honey, this smoothie leaves you feeling refreshed. Their staff were very friendly and were happy to discuss their menu options! I personally loved the interior design with neon lights, pops of color, and Dragon Ball Z figurines on display. This place is for sure a spot to frequent. read more

It's a cozy cafe that offers delicious healthy eats and sips. They serve yummy drinks like a lavender iced latte or rose tea. If you're in the mood for something savory and different try the Bok Bok Chicken Curry or Asian Cubano sandwich. Need an easy-to-eat quick bite? Try an acai bowl like the So Crunchy Acai bowl! You really can't go wrong with whichever you choose. Enjoy the calm atmosphere, take a pic of your drink by the green wall and relax knowing you're supporting a woman and Asian-owned small business. read more

Cute little coffee shop in a plaza near Mizner. A little on the smaller side but has a gorgeous flower wall with the signature long story short writing for you to take pictures with your friends. The only thing I did not was the pastries were on the drier side and very limited selection. Coffee wasn't bad. But overall an okay place to go to if you want a change of pace read more

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, while nearby. The atmosphere was insta-ready: geared for predictable, aesthetic photos. The small walk-in cafe is accentuated with a trendy wall, incorporating their namesake in lights. Food was tasty, overall. I ordered the egg, cheddar and avocado sandwich and added ham. Wait time was not excessive, and the staff was pleasant throughout our experience. When we vacation, we like to visit local places. Staycations are no different. Instead of our usual coffee run, we went to Yelp and found Long Story Short Cafe. This woman and Asian owned business made our morning. They couldn't have been more accommodating with a few special requests we had and the food was DELICIOUS!!! There are lots of choices for healthy, vegan, unhealthy, meat-eating options to satisfy anyone. We will be back for sure!! read more

Cute cafe that's inviting! I intended to take my coffee to go but the vibe made me stay for a bit. I browsed through some of the shelves with items like small notebooks, cards, and candles. I had the cinnamon dolce latte with oat milk. I always prefer to support a local shop so I'm glad I found this one. As the cup says, "Support your local caffeine dealer." read more

This is my new place for coffee! I can walk there from my house and it is delicious! It is smooth and perfectly roasted and so good! I typically get an iced Americano with a splash of cream in case you want to try that out. I have yet to try any of the food but it looks awesome and I definitely will go back to try it! I asked the staff what the story is behind the "long story short café" and nobody knew so I would really like to know what is behind the name. read more
