I took four classes and terry was by far the best thus far (even tho a bit stiff) I wish they offered more Vinyasa flow classes. However, other classes just seemed choppy and without intent. Aquidneck Island needs more options and this is a fine enough studio but it just didn't offer a smooth Vinyasa flow type of practice which I am accustomed. I will give it a few more tries... Oh, and I still have yet to find meditation...did they used to offer it? I need to investigate than one when I go next time. Hari Om!

I went to her because my neck was causing me daily discomfort. She made me aware that my neck problem actually stems from my upper back being tight from stress. She used plenty of pressure, but somehow I was not cringing and tightening counterproductively as I usually am with more intense massages. Her prices are reasonable, with my 1 hour massage costing $75. I immediately suggested her to my husband for his needs as well. I highly reccommend her. P.S. I was treated so rudely and asked if " I was f---ing kidding " a simple I close at 4 would you prefer another day or time would certainly have been a better response. She then proceeded to follow up with a bunch of extremely rude texts calling me entitled and demanding. Calling a business asking g for an appointment I hardly consider demanding or entitled. She proceeded with "others who come in off boats and demand appointments and she doesn't know their personal hygiene or mine. Nothing to do with my calling for an appointment. I have had many messages and usually find a masseuse to be kind and caring. She is from that. She is angry and extremely unprofessional calling me "Karen" in her ridiculous texts which she never should have been texting me in the first place!

My husband and I recently moved back to the east coast and I used to do barre routinely in California and Hawaii. After a lull in working out, we were honestly dreading getting back to class as we knew we were super out of shape. The ladies (and one guy!) there however were friendly and helpful, and we didnt feel judged or looked down on because we were definitely at the bottom of the class in terms of fitness. I love the upbeat music, passionate instructors, and inventive routines to mix cardio, low impact isometrics, and weights while having fun. Even after just 5 classes, I've noticed a huge improvement in my tone and my strength. Getting back to barre has made me think more about my hydration, nutrition, and other healthy habits, and has been a needed reset in my self-care routine. I love that they have free classes for guys on fridays, margaritas after class once a week, and a motivating barre countdown for people who routinely attend. They frequently come around during the barre classes to correct form and make sure your alignment is correct for maximum benefits and to prevent injuries. The studio has a wide array of class times, including morning, mid-day, evening, and weekends. Studio barre is truly a wonderful place that you can enjoy an hour of time just for yourself! I highly recommend and will visit if back in the Newport area.
