If I could give 0 stars I would. Avoid!! My husband and I booked this place for our honeymoon. The view is about the only thing that's good and why they charge so much. We got a king beach view room. Room needed to be updated BAD. They had set up a nice plate of cookies and chocolates for our honeymoon but the writing said happy anniversary. Not a huge deal we were happy they at least did something, champagne they gave us was nice. The room had a closet with a giant air conditioning unit inside of it that was constantly turning on and off and that's all you can hear. It was close enough to the bed that I wasn't gonna be able to sleep because of how loud it was. One of the lamps in the room didnt work, including an outlet. I understand things happen or fail, but when you're paying this amount of money to stay in a hotel like this, I expected better. What was the worst was when we went down to the pool. It was extremely crowded and there were TONS of kids. That being said nobody was controlling their kids at all. A group of children were kicking around a soccer ball aggressively and almost hit me and my husband multiple times. The kids were jumping up on the pool loungers and over the small tables in between that had full drinks on them. The staff watched and did not do a damn thing, some of the parents joined in and were kicking the ball as well thinking it was funny. It was an extreme liability not only for other people, but children running around a busy, wet pool deck is not something that should be happening. Other people were being blocked in and unable to walk to the beach access because these children were kicking this ball around and it was hitting multiple people. Everybody looked extremely irritated. The parents did not try to stop the kids from doing so and ended up hitting a woman in the head with the ball. After that, we tried to make it a place that we want to stay, but we ended up going to the front desk explaining how we felt and decided it was best we pack our stuff up and leave. We spent a total of maybe 3 hours at the resort. We found another resort down the road that was able to take us in such short notice. We still lost part of our deposit which sucked, even what they took wasnt worth the time we spent there. We understand that other people are staying there and we don't usually mind children if they're respectful and not acting like animals. But what was most aggravating was that the staff did nothing and also the parents. It put a huge dent into our evening. Will never go back. read more

We recently spent 4 days here in early December. The location is great - not too far from airport or from local dining and shopping. The beach is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. That said, our room (building 1 King Beach View) was really in need of updating and not at all what their website shows. It was almost pathetic. The AC was teetering on and off, the bathroom water was either burning or cold and the plumbing itself had some issues. While it wasn't the most expensive hotel /resort for the price that we paid it was really lacking. I'd stay at the St Regis next go around. read more

The service here is awful ! This is maybe a 3 star hotel with 1 star service We called housekeeping it took 2 hours to get extra pillows ... the bed sinks in and my back hurt the whole time ! This place is awful ! I would never go back !!! Also on our last day they charge for beach chairs we said we were only going to be there 30 min because we had a plane to catch ... they charge 450 dollars for a king size canopy for the day ! This hotel has a great location right on a private beach. However, due to dredging there are loud grinding noises and smells as the toxic smoke drifts onto the beach. Check that the dredging has finished before booking, and that there is no red tide on the beach. read more

LKC is one of my families fave locations. This rating is about the lack of proper and truthful notification w on the amount and extent of on site construction. To encouraging people to come enjoy completed rooms etc. We were very surprised/shocked w the extent of heavy construction on the property. Website doesn't accurately or prominently detail extent of construction. Needs to be a banner for fair notice to loyal customers and public. For instance, main concourse isn't under roof- check in is at golf club. Pool area doesn't have bathrooms (porta-lets are on site. I guess you could share w construction crew) and temporary bar around corner on a path. The staff was fair and let us out of reservation- but put us in a scramble to find alternative reservations. Killed a day of beach or other activities. Recommend reflecting current clutter and construction is best decision. (No photos. Too frustrated to even think about) read more

Rooms are clean and updated and Marina and shuttle employees are the best! We tried the golf course which was nothing to brag about and full of rude employees. Front desk is awful to get a hold of, they would hang up 2/3 times we called, AC broke twice and they did not have a technician to fix, all they could do was offer fans and we spent the whole night without AC, they could not offer us another room. We had vouchers included in our reservation of $75 that they refused to reimburse us for and gave us wrong information at front desk. We were told they would just be deducted at checkout and turn out they needed to be lost daily or we would lose them. Overall a three star resort and service. Definitely not what they portray or advertise to be. I have yet to go to a five start resort that is unwilling to reimburse $150, especially when it was their fault and lack of proper explaining/information. They refused to offer any discounts for the night without AC as well. My moms room also had issues with the AC. No discounts offered to them either and when we spoke to them and inquired about it, they just said sorry about that. Our four families will never come back! read more

Went there with my aunt and uncle they are members. We ate at the restaurant there, I got an Arnold palmer and a Cuban sandwich (which was highly recommended by my uncle). The sandwich was huge. After lunch we went to the beach where the staff were quite friendly and accommodating. read more

My sister had her wedding here. I think it all went pretty well and everyone was pleased with the event. I personally enjoyed the food and the atmosphere a lot! We had the rehearsal dinner at the main building (poolside) and it was a great setting. We had very few hotel / villa guests visible, which was pleasant. They really tried to keep the ice cream frozen during speech time, which was thoughtful and appropriate. We had the ceremony and reception at the harbor, which went pretty well. The lawn and room was really ideal for the event, although if the group was any larger we would have needed a bigger dance floor (160 people)! The lamb chop hors d'oeuvres were fantastic! Also, we played golf here. While it was expensive ($105 for 18 on a Saturday morning) I thought the course was very well kept. Too many places to get lose my balls in the water :) read more

We stayed at this property in April, 2019. Although on a beautiful stretch of beach, the property is in some serious need of updating. Beware if you need to plug in your device chargers, as there are no outlets available in the standard beachfront rooms. And what is plugged in is on overloaded extension cords. Each day, in addition to our room charge there are about $79.32 worth of taxes and fees. Upon arrival our bedding was not clean and asked that it be replaced. We were given damp, almost wet bedding, as they store the clean bedding outside. Our A/C unit was very loud and rattled constantly. The TV went out twice, however engineering was very prompt and helpful. The pool area is not large enough for the number of rooms at this resort and it was not possible to get a chair after 10:00 am. The beach however is fabulous. We got the breakfast package, however please note, breakfast for 2 will run you in excess of $40.00. read more

WE LOVE LBKC - We were married there 7 years ago and return every summer (now with our kids). The staff is friendly and attentive, the beach is gorgeous and well cared for and the amenities are clean, reliable and relaxing. The new ownership keeps improving the property year over year. The room layout is thoughtful and well designed - feels like home. We also love seeing the same staff members every year. This is one of our favorite places to come with our group. We always get a suite and it's nice to have the full kitchen, washer and dryer and plenty of room. We have a lovely view of the beach from our balcony. Everything is clean and we've had nothing but excellent service all week. It's been great. Can't wait to come back again. read more

We recently had the opportunity to play LBK Club on a reciprocal. We played both the bay and gulf side courses. Both were in impeccable condition. And, what a treat we had at the turn! We decided a Mai Tai was in order and Nancy cheerfully stepped in to fulfill our order. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh pineapple slices, premium rum -- they were delicious!
