I had my first MRI today and a couple x-rays. Probably my last MRI. I wouldn't say its horrible,…read morebut the feeling I got while I was in the tube was weird. And it's extremely loud. I'm not claustrophobic, if you are I don't recommend it. I waited about ten minutes before a guy came and got me to get ready for the MRI. He explained everything in the kindest way, but he didn't sugar coat it. It didn't really make me nervous, but maybe some anticipation slipped in. Then came Rene to perform the MRI. She also explained everything, just like he did, but for some reason a calmness came over me. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait for it to be done and it went over without a hitch. Then I went to the x-ray room. The girl took four x-rays in 2 or 3 minutes. She didn't have to read anything to know what to do, and she knew what positions I had to be in for the proper x-rays. She floated around like a little dove. This was the first time I enjoyed getting x-rays. I don't want to leave out the two girls at the front desk. As soon as I walked in I started to tell them my name and why I was there, but before I even started with my last name the girl gave me some paperwork that I had to fill out, since I was a new patient. Their kindness was explosive. Longhorn Imaging in Kyle is not your average Medical Facility. It's friendly, caring, and everyone knows their job like they know their name. These people are absolute professionals and they treated me like royalty. Oh yeah, I had to wait for the x-rays because the bureaucrats or whoever, was inspecting the x-ray machine, they probably checked all the machines, and all was well. So you also know this place is top notch. If you need any type of imaging, this place is for you.

Reminders up until day of just in case you forget along with the pre-paperwork completed online. Their door says open at 7am vs Google maps sites that have 8, so I arrived about 5 minutes before the appointment at 8. Got into the back a bit late, with everything else going as planned. Joan way my technician and she was so pleasant and friendly. Made the process less stressful and efficient. She gave clear directions and only had to redo one item. The changing rooms were nice with and according style door with magnets so it's not just a sheet covering the opening like other places. Even the gentlemen who did my checkin was friendly and efficient. Helped to have the prework done.

They said that was the soonest they could get me in. Mind you, this is a brain scan to see if my brain may be bleeding and causing my 15 day fever. They just called to say they overbooked my appointment and the soonest they could get me in was in 3 week. I could be dead by then so I told them to cancel. Going to pay extra for the ER I guess. Again, go with another imaging company if you can; they are absolutely the worst and don't give a crap about their patients.

This is the worst healthcare provider service I have ever encountered, even after using diagnostic…read moreservices in some very rural areas and in the busiest Metropolitan areas. maybe one out of 10 service and scheduling reps even listens to your issue, but every center will drop your call after waiting on hold for 10 minutes- and I mean at exactly 10 minutes. Their system is programmed to drop you without any concern when you are waiting on hold for a STAT appt or desperate need. Completely insensitive and unhelpful. Their reports are often blurry and illegible even after requesting originals multiple times. They send faxes with blurry streaks and multiple printer lines and marks making them impossible to read. I immediately called several places in Palm Beach Florida where I had no previous services and was immediately given my choice of appointments even for a Saturday. These clinics had NOT diagnosed the beast and spine cancers that are present so they had no idea of the patients history and they were very accommodating. The pictures below of my numerous calls to ARA that were dropped after exactly 19 minutes were placed on EST when the Austin clinics were still open. I addition, when I explained to at least 5 scheduling reps that ARA had rescheduled the original mammogram where cancer was suspected more than 4 times over the past 11 months, not a single agent offered to take any extra steps for the STAT orders this time. And I called 3 different centers several times. See my photos below. Fern Lindsay

Don't tou guys have a break Bathroom is not very clean, it's 1 pm. Covid times? Keep everything clean, eh?! When I booked the appointment, I asked if they can put a pillow of sort on an area that is tender and they said yes they can. As soon as I got there for my MRI, the tech said they can't do that. So I had to sit in the machine for 28 minutes in pain while resisting to move. It was painful and so uncomfortable. Then they did the another/second MRI on a different part that they finally gave me a pillow to support the painful area. Also, the long dark haired older lady just taped my mask on my face before I went in the machine. No warning- she just put the tape in and said "There's a lot people who come in and out of here & if they're sick, I don't want you to get sick." Her hand was in my face when she put tape on my mask. What happened to 6 feet apart?????!!!!!!!! I have a reaction to adhesive and she didn't even ask or warn me that she was doing that. It was pretty rude. I do not recommend this place at all!
