I called twice and left messages after sitting on the phone for several minutes. I also called my dr. who said they had sent it over that morning. Just a horrible experience overall. They are incompetent and impossible to find. I left an extra 30 minutes early spoke to confirm and got even worse directions. Arrived 12 minutes late. I would review again when the follow through for the insurance is on time! But from scheduling to the staff reception---I was impressed by professionalism. They do have payment plan options while pending insurance auth if you opt to pay upfront before approval. My son needed MRI and I couldn't wait. The MrI will determine if my son needs surgery. My son was so relaxed as the staff was very reassuring. The front desk personnel was so professional and caring. So much needed when you come with uncertainty as to my son's plan of care. My 86 year old sister had her MRI at Longhorn Imaging and I will tell you the technician Nicole at the Onion Creek Center was incredible. She was kind and gentle with her and walked her through the entire procedure. I could hear her talking to her explaining everything while having to also deal with her extreme pain.. This is our second experience with Longhorn one at Onion Creek and the other at the Kyle location and I could not be more impressed. read more

Went for a lumbar MRI. I am claustrophobic and have a phobia about metal being in the room and hurdling toward the magnet. I spoke to the staff before scheduling that I need to go feet first as I have in the past to get this scan. Took my medication but still felt anxious. I told the tech I felt anxious. She was cold and condescending told me the medications usually work and asked when I took them. No reassurance at all! I was concerned about having the metal key and my shoes with metal clips in the MRI room. Her answer ' we know what. Should be in here!' She told me I had to go head first through the scanner. Itold her I couldn't do that and I have been feet first before! Her comment are you sure that was a MRI not a CT. I told her I know the difference I'm am An RN and know the difference. She didn't give a hoot! Was unkind, rude and condescending. Not the nest when someone has a phobia. Needless to say I didn't get the MRI! Don't go there if you need and support if you have a phobia! This imaging center is very clean and the staff is super friendly. I was surprised that I didn't have to wait long at all and the got me back so quickly. I had an Arthrogram and MRI on my shoulder and the doctor that did the arthrogram was very nice and very skilled. I was glad that it was so quick and easy. read more

My foot doctor referred me to Longhorn Imaging to get a MRI. I was called by them the same day to make an appointment. They have multiple locations and I told them the James Casey location was most convenient for me. They worked with my schedule and we booked an appointment for Friday morning. I then received a text to confirm, and they even let me know how much I would owe for the appointment. It was higher than I imagined, so I had time to call my insurance to verify. I ended up having to reschedule the appointment and the process was pretty easy again, I left my number so I didn't have to wait on hold and then they called me back. I asked if they offer payment plans, and they replied yes! I received a few more confirmation texts with the address and reminders of what not to wear, so that was helpful. I had 2 pieces of jewelry that would not come off, but since this was only for my foot, they said it was fine. The office was clean and comfortable. They have wifi info posted on the wall. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, and that goes a long way for me! I signed up for the payment plan which was a lot cheaper and doable for me. The MRI tech set me up comfortably and provided headphones with music to drown out the loud machine noises. Very pleasant experience here, and everything ran right on time as well. After I spent at least 30 minutes, putting all the information that they require into my cell phone ( several times as the app kept going back ) to get an appointment it would not give me one! It wanted to know which insurance company I had and on and on it was very detailed wanted all my information upfront before it would schedule me an appointment! Don't waste your time doing all this because their app does not work properly and you might be disappointed like me with no appointment after spending all that time! Disgusting! read more

I filled out all the online forms I was asked by this office to fill out. The day before the appointment, I was sent a text message saying my appointment would be cancelled unless I called them before noon. I called, waited on hold forever, finally got through to someone who then wanted to ask me every single question I'd already answered on the online forms - you know, the ones you have to answer before you can even make the appointment, even though I'm paying out-of-pocket. When I asked why this was necessary, she ignored me and went back to asking the questions. When I asked that she not ignore me, that became AN ISSUE, SIR. I still have no idea why they put me through all that, but I'm guessing it has something to do with no one in charge caring about reviews like this. I had a pelvic MRI schedule on July 29th and called Longhorn imaging July 3rd, 10th, 19th, 23rd and 24th to ask what amount would be owed upfront before the procedure. I was sent an automatic text and a voicemail from Longhorn that nothing was owed. October 2024 I received an invoice stating that I owe 500 dollars with an accompanied 15 dollar late fee. I never received an invoice for my treatment prior to this, nor along with the disclosure agreement. I don't agree with how the situation was handled and after requesting clarification in email I was called repeatedly by a billing rep. The woman I spoke with explained that an invoice that I never received was sent back in September and if I were to pay the balance in full today she would in turn waive the late fee. It looks like you're attempting to gain additional revenue by sending patients invoices months after their appointments using accruing late fees as leverage. I will not pay this invoice until I can get further detail in writing from your team. read more

Nobody wants to go the doctor but this was a pleasant experience. I needed an MRI for some neck issues I am having and was referred here. They were always pleasant on the phone and very nice in person. It's a little tricky finding this place but lots of parking and the facility was clean and my visit was relatively quick. My appt. was a 500 with a 430 arrival. I got there around 440. Filled out the necessary paperwork and was back in the car by 530. I hope you don't need any MRIs or X-rays anytime soon but if you do this place was good. read more

The imaging is fine, but they always overcharge us. They give us a price as per our insurance, we pay it, then later when we get the EOB from insurance we see we overpaid, although I often don't notice it until months later. And when this happens, they don't volunteer a refund, I have to call to request it. Once they told us the cash/self-pay price would be cheaper than going through insurance (since we hadn't met our deductible), so we paid cash, then I checked with insurance and found out that the insurance company's network pricing was a lot cheaper than the cash price we paid, at which point it was too late to go through insurance. read more

I had the privilege of getting a MRI here the other day. The scheduling process was easy and no problem there. I would have liked a call the day before (like I was told) to let me know my portion that I would pay at time of service. Luckily I had an idea ahead of time because I know my insurance. The facility was nice and they got me back before my appointment time. I was given some scrubs due to my outfit having metal on it. I appreciate that and they were comfortable. The MRI tech was great and informed of how the whole process will work. I was given headphones to listen some music to offer distraction and help to drown out the noise of the machine. AWFUL! don't use them!! they are disorganized! They don't know what they are doing! As soon as you get a referral for them, ask your doctor to send you somewhere else. First, they had my referral for almost a month. I made the appointment right away for about one month after the referral was faxed (yes, they do everything by fax machine still in 2023). The day before my appointment, they called to tell me they need "clinical notes" before they can authorize my imaging, and if I don't switch to self pay (pay $1000), they will cancel my appointment, which took a month to get. They are awful. avoid them. They are disorganized, and rude. Not professional at all. read more

Beware of the terrible billing department. They will quote you a great reasonable priced CT calcium score test that your insurance company doesn't cover, and then charge you double that amount. The billing department said - oops that what your insurance company came back with. read more

I should have read all the reviews as you are doing before making an appointment at this facility. I set up an appointment for a particular type of procedure that is not done except by a specialist in this type of ultrasound and must be read by a radiologist on-site trained to read the ultrasound. When making the appointment, I specifically asked for the specialist and was assured that I would see one. I was to have my doctor request the specific procedure, which I did, but she failed to do so. I was not notified that she had not sent in the request for the procedure I was coming in for, so they went ahead and did a regular ultrasound which I had already. It was then that the tech told me I needed the special procedure. I informed her that that is what my appointment was set up for, but she said the doctor did not request it. I should have been contacted prior to my appointment and told to request another order from my doctor. They were supposed to call me back from Longhorn a few days later and dIdn't. I called them today and spoke with the "manager" who was demeaning, continually speaking over me, very sarcastic tone of voice. And yes, they will charge my insurance company for the procedure since it was performed although it was not the procedure I called and set up an appointment for. Again, I should have been notified ahead of time. I believe her name was Nicole? Such incompetence and lack of respect from a so-called professional. I am recommending ARA Imaging, who has locations in Kyle and Austin. I told them what happened to me at Longhorn Imaging. I know I won't be getting the same treatment there. read more

These guys offer a CT calcium score that I decided to do and a very reasonable price if your insurance doesn't cover it. The office staff and tech were great, 100% professional, friendly and any questions I had afterwards were handled in a courteous manner. If I ever need any other future imaging, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. They were great! Nice job peeps! read more

The Management appears to be the problem. The Staff is pleasant and efficient. But the policies are the problem. It takes about 20 minutes on the phone to first get to an appointment operator. Understaffed. They had me wait about 30 minutes for my quick knee X-Rays. Receptionist told me "we have a new policy of having patients come 30 early." Selfish and egotistical. I went here a week ago. The service was so bad that I asked for my money back and left. I will never use Longhorn Imaging again. These people are paper pushers and don't care about the patient's experience. I should've known the service was going to be bad based on pre-appointment experience which was impersonal and difficult. I was finally quoted a price for cash pay. When I arrived, I was told to pay more than double the estimate given to me. I recommend using another company if you want to avoid the hassle and bad experience. read more

Appointment gone wrong from the moment I walked in the door. it took 30 minutes to get an appointment while staff sat in the lounge area watching tv. I show up for appointment today at 7:45 am and was told I needed to be at a different location. this was the first that I heard about it while the receptionist argued with me saying I had been told about the location. They charge a a $100 same day cancellation fee so now what do I do? So frustrating! read more

SO DISAPPOINTED! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I had an appointment at the new Longhorn Imaging Center in Kyle this morning (06/12/24) to have some X-rays completed. My appointment was for 9 am but was instructed to be there at 8:30. Upon arrival at 8:30 I was greeted by 2 very nice receptionist to check me in. Before the check in process was completed the imaging tech came out and informed me that she was expecting someone to come in to do a software update on her machine, although the machine was still working she wanted to let the update be completed first if they showed up. She then said, "You have paper work to complete anyway" to which the receptionist added "No it was completed online. She is ready." The tech advised me she would go prep the bed and be back to get me. i was the only person in the place other than the 2 receptionist and the tech and apparently one other person in the back that the tech was talking with. I was left in the lobby waiting while the tech and this other lady carried on friendly conversation on various topics all of which had nothing to do with work. The conversation was loud and could be heard easily in the waiting room. After about 20 minutes she comes out to the front to check with the receptionist about the software people. She was informed no one had come in. She looks at me and says again, ("since they are not here I'll go get the bed ready."). Another 10 minutes passes and I asked the receptionist if the tech was just waiting til 9 to see me as I could once again hear her conversing with another lady right inside the door. The receptionist went to check with her and came back and told me she had just completed getting the bed ready and she would be right out to get me, however the conversation inside the door never stopped. After another 7 minutes she finally opened the door and called me back. Her words to me were I'm going to go ahead and see you since the software people have not shown up. I, in turn said, "Well I'd hope so since you've been standing by that door talking for the last 35 minutes." I'm normally a pretty patient person but you'd think if someone is expecting a software update that you would see your patient instead of making them wait while you have a good time conversing With a coworker and lying about what you are doing. My suggestion to this young tech at the Kyle location is if you are going to do this to your patients, at least have the courtesy to carry on your enjoyable conversations away from the lobby door because it's hard to lie to your patients when they can hear everything you are saying. Not a good way for a new location to service patients. By the way the X-rays took all of 5 minutes as there were only 3 of them. She could have completed 10 times over in the amount of time I was left waiting in the lobby listening to her stories. read more

Longhorn has a horrible joke of a billing department- No matter how early in advance your appointment is scheduled they will only try to process your benefits the day before your appointment. For certain procedures, they are booking 2-3 months out, so you will need to wait until they don't process your insurance the first time (after waiting over a month), then reschedule 2.5 months down the road to actually have the imaging done after they've worked with your insurance. This is the third time I've had billing issues with longhorn in as many appointments, I'm done wasting my time with them. Every other radiological provider in town has a more open schedule, and more professional staff. read more

First, it took two weeks to get the appointment because I needed approval from the insurance company. Once I got the appointment, they called me the day before and tried to reschedule because they "didn't have approval". Now they've left me sitting in the waiting room for an hour past my appointment time. I'm in pain and would never come here if I wasn't forced. Absolutely shameful. read more

The MRI was fine. The back office is a garbage fire. I had imaging done and never received a bill. Nothing by mail, nobody ever called me. Months later I check my credit and I've got a collections report against me. Called Longhorn Imaging and they wouldn't even speak with me, just kept forwarding my call to the collections company. Long story short, turns out they somehow had an address I haven't lived at in over 10 years. So I'm assuming they've been sending my bills there? Probably some of my medical records too? Hard to say since they won't talk to me about it. One phone call and I'd have happily settled it all up. Instead they tried to wreck my credit and burn a relationship with an otherwise perfectly happy customer. read more
