First the good, Service was very nice as was the atmosphere. Food, I drove past several other steak houses for the consistency of Longhorn. I ordered rare and it came out "Blue". Longhorn advertises that they train their cooks for proper steak cooking. This must now be in the past. The couple to my left at the bar had steaks. She said hers was way over salted. He said it was okay. I've not done a review since COVID hit. This meal was so bad, I recommend avoiding this particular Longhorn until they train their cooks properly. Lovely solid middle of the road steak place. Their drinks are a bit pricy but there's some deals and they are flavorful. The steaks and salads are juicy and plenty of food. Where I think many places have skimped or given up, this place stays strong in its lane. You'll never expect crazy fancy, but I got a very good meal with solid service and reasonable prices. We came to Longhorn to celebrate my brother's birthday! The waitress Hannah was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Her waitressing was excellent she would stop at the table before we even knew we needed anything before we even realized we needed anything. The Manager, Christopher King checked on our birthday table several times to make sure all was good. Such a fantastic place to go just for dinner or any occasion to celebrate!! Their T-bone steak was huge and came out sizzling hot. It had a deep, smoky flavor and the fat was rendered just right. I paired it with mac and cheese and it was cheesy and rich. My 5 year old and I had lunch at Longhorn today (a Monday). It was my first time here in years and better than I remember. Service was excellent. We were seated immediately and it wasn't busy. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. They have a solid and reasonably priced lunch menu. I had the salmon with rice and broccoli as a side. The 10 ounce salmon was bigger than I expected and very tasty. It was cooked perfectly with delicious seasoning. I'm usually not a fan of chain restaurants because so much of their food is frozen. This salmon tasted very fresh and I highly doubt it sat frozen in the restaurant. I ordered grilled chicken and broccoli for my picky son. He ate most of his grilled chicken and some broccoli so it must have been good. He said their chocolate milk was his favorite and was a big fan of the complimentary bread. This is a nice family restaurant. They have nice plastic cups with lids for the kids. The kids paper menu comes with crayons and has activities for them to do (word search and other fun puzzles). When we got the bill, I noticed there was an option to pay online. I'm still unsure of how I feel about this option. I tried it and paying online was very easy. I do like having this option and our waitress still checked on us and was willing to take the check. Steaks are always high quality, and cooked spot-on. I hate having my medium steak chewy. Bread is always good as an appetizer, although butter knives would be welcomed. Getting alcohol can take awhile and the perfect margarita is hit-or-miss depending on who makes it. I like that we can pay at the table using the QR code on the receipt. Has a good feel to it but can become noisy when ignorant customers don't know how to parent their own children. Color me a convert. I mostly eschew restaurant chains, but had the opportunity to visit a LongHorn on a recent business trip. It was extremely good. Decided to give our local a try, and they repeated the experience "en-toto". Great service and an outstanding T-bone with a side of cheesy cauliflower. Both excellent. The 18oz steak exuded "beefiness" (prime), was cooked exactly medium rare and at a fair price ($25 all in). What a great alternative to the upscale steakhouses! Top that off with reasonably priced wine/bottles and you have a winner in my book. If you're a steak lover, give these guys a try. read more

We visited this LongHorn Steakhouse in Exton on an early Saturday evening. I loved the western decor which was classy but not cheesy. There were interesting things pictures and posters used as decoration , so interesting in fact I wanted to and DID walk around the restaurant looking at the decor . We enjoyed our steaks ,each one prepared to our different likings . Lots of empty tables but it looked like after waiting for a long time only two servers working. No leadership or management presence at all to direct or guide the team. This included the receptionist, our very knowledgeable and attentive server, and the manager who stopped by at our table. The food was also excellent. The soups (onion & seafood bisque) were delicious. The (side) salads were fresh and crisp. The Caesar salad was perfect. Our steaks were cooked and served exactly as we ordered them. Dined here the other night thanks to some gift cards we got for Christmas! The food was great, the bread was fresh and fabulous, the chop steak was cooked to order and had a really good flavor. The mushrooms and gravy on top could use some tweaking but overall it all jazzed together really well and I would get it again. For a side I got the loaded baked potato, which had it been about 20% less salty would have been the best loaded potato I've ever had! The Shrimp and Lobster chowder was also really good and will be a repeat purchase in the future. My girlfriend had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and as good as my steak was I wish I would have gotten this instead. Still a little salty, but other than that it was wonderful! read more

I don't go to many chain restaurants, but I had a gift card and preferred Longhorn to Olive Garden. The decor was fun but not too cheesy and the service was fantastic. Vanessa was our server and she was so kind and helpful. A nice waitress like her makes such a difference in the experience. We ordered a bunch of food because I like to use all of a card. Our favorites were the chicken taquito things, the bread and the Mac and cheese. My husband had a steak salad that he enjoyed. I had the Flo's filet. It was mediocre. I was expecting more at a steakhouse with pictures of longhorn cattle. Overall we enjoyed our experience and will likely return. read more

Well-meaning relatives occasionally give me gift cards to chain restaurants as a gift. That was the case with this visit to Longhorn as I decided to use my gift card on lunch here. I do feel like every time I review a chain restaurant, I should apologize to Yelp. I know that there are chain snobs here. I can be one of them. But some chains do it better than others. Would Longhorn be one of them? So the good thing is, it wasn't too crowded for lunch, and the bar was empty so I had the full attention of the bartender and quick service. Always appreciated, and everyone was friendly here. So the food rundown for me goes like this. Wild West Shrimp - I got this for free by applying to the club, guaranteeing that I'd have money left on the gift card. Score. Now, you can tell that the shrimp came from a package, and it's a bit of a greasy app. But I did like the flavor and polished it off. It wound up being my favorite part of the meal. My theory that chains usually do better on apps than meals applies here. Prime rib sandwich - It wasn't a bad sandwich necessarily, but the roll was way too soft which guaranteed it would fall apart in me. It didn't wow me. Shrimp lobster chowder - The flavor was ok, but something that has shrimp and lobster should wow me by default. It was just passable. That defined this meal. It passed. But a C grade is passing, and I'd put this about a C+ due to the fact that the shrimp app had enough flavor to please me. Would I come back again? Well I have 7 bucks on a gift card left. The baby back ribs are excellent smothered in bbq sauce. I get the full rack and take half home. The mashed potatoes are creamy, however the amount is small. They serve a small puddle of melted butter floating on top of the mashed potatoes so I always say, "No Butter." They're so smooth and creamy, butter isn't needed. They're hot bread is delicious. I was excited to have dinner from here, as I received a few gift cards for Christmas and have never dined here before. The ease of ordering online was easy, except for the fact that there were many delicious sounding options. If I could, I would have tried one of everything. Since we live in a world where there is a constant lingering fear of contacting an airborne illness in public places, I opted to order "to go" as I could enjoy this meal from the comfort of my own home without having to wear a face mask when I leave the table. So I placed my online order, and headed the short distance to longhorn. Upon my arrival, I only had to wait a few moments before my food had arrived at my car. I expected to a friendly greeting from the young lady who had brought my order out, however I was presented with the display of bad attitude that makes me feel that my personal order had inconvenienced her to come outside. Oh well, it is a cold winter night, I can understand the lack of desire to go outside for the sake of delivering food. So I placed my 2 bags on the passenger seat, and traveled the short distance home. Within approximately 7 minutes (would have been 5 if I hadn't been stuck at the red light) I was walking into my dining room, ready to eat. Upon opening the bags, I was presented with a few plastic containers. I get it that it is take out, but the manner in which the food was "placed" in the flimsy plastic had appeared to have been thrown in without a care whether it slides around and splatters and breaks apart. Perhaps using smaller containers would remedy this? So now I am seated in my dining room, deciding what to eat first. I have a burger and fries, Mac & cheese, and "Wild West shrimp." The first thing I had tried was a French fry. It was too salty, and was mushy, as if it had been reheated. So I tried another one, same results. Oh well, the dog has been patiently waiting at my side for a taste of anything. He won't mind mushy fries. So I try the Wild West shrimp. Not terrible. Tastes like it is also reheated, and would have been better an hour ago if it was still crispy. I can't eat this, and the dog probably shouldn't either. So I push it off to the side. Cheeseburger, this is your time to shine.. don't let me down! The first bite of the cheeseburger was good. The bun was phenomenal. The cheese was excellent. However, the burger had a rubbery texture to it. The meat tasted as if it had been reheated. I peeled off the cheese, and ate that as well as the bun. Side not here: for the price of the burger and fries, I could have gotten 2, maybe 3 "Big Mac and fries" from the Local McDonald's, and felt satisfied. Next, I opened the small container of Mac & cheese. How bad will this be? Can the dog even eat this? The first taste of the Mac & cheese ignited a feeling on my taste buds that I only imagine as being the same as my ear buds the first time they heard Limp Bizkit's smash hit "nookie" back in the early 2000's. Complete satisfaction. Within 30 seconds, I had devoured the Mac & cheese container. I almost even ate the container itself, as it still contained trace amounts of the cheese sauce. This may have redeemed the entire meal in which I received tonite. And the Mac & cheese WAS the holy redemption, until within 20 minutes I found myself seated on my porcelain throne for 45 minutes feeling like I was about to meet my untimely demise, in the same fashion as the late king Elvis Presley. Did a call ahead reservation for 7pm showed up and was told 45min wait - asked why they didn't say that when we called in - the hostess said "we get lots of calls". While waiting for the table we found 4 seats and the bar and decided to eat there. Two bartenders could not keep up with the bar and the table waitress needs. We ordered drinks to go with our dinner but they forgot to bring them until we were half way through dinner - we asked again which we finally did get- they forgot to bring bread to go with our meal , the other waitresses loudly discussed everything imaginable a their drink pick up station close to where we were sitting. One dropped a bottle of wine - it shatered over the floor - between getting drinks she picked up the glass and used a broom to sweep and pick up glass with her hands. She NEVER washed her hands but continued to serve both food and drinks. read more

I had not eaten at Longhorn in many months. This location was pretty good. I ordered the filet and it was perfectly grilled. My only issue was one edge was tough and grisly. I've enjoyed dining at Longhorn Steak House in several different places so when I discovered the one in Exton, PA I made plans to stop for dinner. After a long flight from So Cal to Philly, I arrived at suppertime. Ordered a sirloin medium-rare with salad and cauliflower parmesan. The steak was very good, the cauliflower wasn't bad. I will try another of their veggie sides next time. Service was as spot on and the price was amazingly affordable. I'll be back. read more

Went to longhorn this evening and got me something to eat get greeted with bread and butter and also a drink and the food was delicious but I don't know if it was a good day or not to go in here because when I got my food the steak was delicious top 10 and with the grilled shrimp perfection everything was seasoned perfectly it comes with rice but instead I get mashed potatoes loaded and I didn't think they was going to put butter in the middle of it like it was a lava cake and I also got some steamed broccoli as my side options I just asked for steamed broccoli I didn't they was going to have butter on it too and it is just to much sodium for me and for dessert I got there strawberry butter cream shortcake and it was delicious and for my drink I got the raspberry lemonade handcraft and it was also delicious a little too sweet so I couldn't drink it all I say my overall visit is a 2 out 5 because I believe they know not to use butter or so much of it especially when you have a lot of starch in your food. read more
