Inside with live music

Wish we had one of these where I live On work travel, looked for a place close to hotel, checked Yelp, and went with Ron's. Definitely not your typical pub. More upscale, local produce, huge menu, where everything looked good. Quite a few regular customers had great things to say, I took a recommendation of an "oval" (flatbread), mine was the Italian. Really nicely presented and tasted great. All the staff was friendly, there was live music, had an incredible time.

Pickle pizza 10 inch

If I lived nearby, Ron's would be a regular stop for sure. The menu is huge....so extensive that there's literally something for everyone. What's better is that Ron is focused on catering to all kinds of food sensitivities, allergies and dietary needs/restrictions. One of our friends (that we are visiting here in PA) follows a gluten free diet but can eat the pizza at Ron's with no issues. It's because they make the pizza with Italian double zero flour...which doesn't bother her heightened gluten sensitivity. On top of that-the pizza is REALLY, REALLY good! We shared 2 large pies (special and margherita - 16 inch) and one small (pickle -10 inch). Yes...I did say pickle. Pickle pizza. That was my choice! I wanted to try something different...and I'm glad I did! Loved all of the pizza options but the sauce on the margherita was outstanding and the pickle pizza was GREAT. My semi skeptical gluten free friend went all in with me on the pickle once she tried it. I think she was surprised that she liked it so much. The crust on the pizza is also sooooo good. Super tasty. I wanted to keep eating but I also wanted to be able to walk/get up out of my chair. Rave reviews on the salads and turkey dinner as well. Ron's is always busy for a reason. Great food, excellent service, cool vibe. Highly recommend.

Italian Sub

I have had a lot of cheesesteaks in my 44 years on this earth, near Philly, in Philly, New Jersey, MD, and this is by far the best cheesesteak I have ever had! From the seeded roll to the perfectly seasoned meat, and the cooper sharp. I had it to go and I can only imagine how good it is if you dine in. My daughter got an Italian sub and she loved it, my wife got an oval and she loved that too! Fries were good, crisp crinkle cut. Food took about 20 minutes and they were PACKED! Customer service was great, will definitely be back!

My son and I went here today for a late lunch. This was our first time eating here and will def be going back!! We sat in the bar area and Josh took care of us. I asked Josh for recommendations and I took some and I was not disappointed at all!! Food was great, everyone working was smiling, friendly and wonderful. My son and I were stuffed and had leftovers but had to try dessert and we got the crème brûlée! We can't wait to go back and try more of their great food!! As a recommendation if you like calamari get their appetizer it's the best my son and I have ever had!!! Thank you Josh for a great experience!!!!

Tucked away in a mini strip mall, Ron's resembles the usual version of your local happy-tappy serving up the usual assortment of nondescript pub grub to the usual less-than-discerning indigenous clientele. Well... not quite. Check out the restaurant's website... Their soups are made from fresh stocks that are by-products of their slow roasted meats and chicken... Their meats are antibiotic and hormone free... Their burgers are fresh ground certified Angus and never frozen... Their salmon filets are fresh cut by the chef; their mussels and calamari are fresh ice-packed, not frozen... Their turkey breasts are freshly baked on the premises from fresh, hormone-free fowl; their bacon is nitrite free... Produce is delivered 5 days a week, and all salads are made with fresh-cut lettuce; and the mixed greens are hand-washed, dried, and mixed by the kitchen staff; vegetables are all cut fresh and cooked to order... In addition, the menu lists the items that are gluten free, hormone/antibiotic free, spicy, vegetarian, clean eating, and/or made from scratch. Not exactly the culinary résumé of your average local happy-tappy... But the fact that a restaurant offers its patrons healthy cuisine is only part of the equation. Even the best of organic and/or local comestibles can be poorly prepared and sloppily presented. Fortunately, however, not only is Ron's food good for you, but it is pleasing to the palate and the eye as well. Taking a gander at the rather extensive menu, it may seem as if the kitchen's reach has exceeded its grasp. One cannot help but think that it would be difficult (if not impossible) for an eatery to do so many things well. But, on second glance, the bill of fare is not quite as gargantuan as it at first appears. Any restaurant, however humble or upscale, invariably does certain things better than others. And this is true of Ron's as well. But the key, in my opinion, is that this restaurant knows its focus, its limitations, and its clientele... and, therefore, continues to do a first-rate job across the board. A lion's share of Ron's menu, of course, is given over to the kitchen's superb interpretation of so-called "pub grub." But the restaurant also offers patrons a select variety of entrées, including a number of traditional Italian favorites. My recently sampled Eggplant Parmesan, for example, was tender yet firm to the bite, smothered in melted cheese, and sided with al dente spaghetti kissed by a rich marinara. Even better, however, was my dining partner's homey Black Angus Italian Meatloaf (pictured) topped with house-made marinara sauce and companioned by a mound of luscious garlic mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked broccoli florets. And don't let dessert pass you by. There are a number of palate-pleasing options to assuage your sweet tooth... but nothing quite measures up to the over-the-top Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. More than suitable for sharing, this irresistibly rich and creamy delight is decadence personified. So, forget the calories and go for it. The restaurant contains several dining areas. But the bar, bustling yet inviting, is the most comfortable seat in the house. Even if there's a waiting list for the dining rooms, which is not at all unusual, you can almost always squeeze in at the bar; either at the bar proper or at one of the high-top tables. Here you'll find a diverse, friendly crowd, equally friendly bartenders, and a bevy of TV screens to keep the hometown fans happy. If you're on the prowl for well-prepared casual fare that utilizes top-notch ingredients and won't break the bank, Ron's Original Bar & Grill is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner.

I've been going to Ron's with my family for well over a decade- when they still used to be Ron's Schoolhouse Grill. Consistently great food over the years. Good happy hour, specials, etc. Live music, fun ambiance, something for everybody on their giant menu! Love their pizza, pasta, calzone, turkey dinner, and their appetizers. Friendly and attentive service!

Greek Salad with chicken

I was in town for a meeting and wanted to have lunch before heading home. The reviews looked really good so gave it a try. Once you walk through the doors, you would never know it was located in a strip mall. I thought the entrance area was a little dark but I think that's the ambience they are going for. Service was great! The place was packed at lunch on a Monday. I had the Greek salad and added grilled chicken. It was a large salad with a nice sized piece of chicken. The vegetables were fresh. I enjoyed it. The best part was the Modena balsamic imported from Modena, Italy. I was there a couple years ago and did a tasting and brought some home. I was so excited to see this as an option. I don't think there was even an extra charge. The menu listed so many items that are homemade or imported from Italy. Very impressive. The menu is also quite extensive. I feel like I didn't do the restaurant justice by just ordering a salad. I will return if I'm back in the area. One little comment is that my server wasn't telling her tables about the specials. I heard another server tell another table. Maybe more training is needed to maintain consistency.

I love that Ron's has fresh, healthy, local food. I love that their menu informs you of the choices they make for the food we eat! Our waitress was superb, the hosts did an excellent job in seating a large party, everything we had--from sandwiches to pizza, appetizers to seafood, it was all perfect! They have delicious eggplant and the Seafood Oscar was simply the best!!

We loved the decorations in the restaurant too, seeing all the local dog portraits on the wall while we were waiting for our table was enjoyable. The food was incredible. We recently moved to Exton and haven't really gotten a chance to spoil ourselves, and White Dog was a great place to do so. We started with the Mushroom Soup, Oysters, and Artisan Cheese Board. All were delicious! One of the things I loved most were the portion sizes. For the price it was only a touch expensive, but for good reason, the entrees were delicious. My girlfriend got the Salmon, I had the Seafood Bucatini, and textures were masterful. The contrast between the tenderness of the shrimp/scallops and the broccoli rabe/parmesean crisps made each bite a truly special experience. I'm going to be dreaming of how light yet flavorful the sauce was too!! The GF is telling me to stop typing but I could go on and on about this meal. Thank you!!! We will be back

The waiter was nice, but he was never around when we needed him and it took 15 minutes after us being seated before he even asked us about food. At one point my daughter needed to use the restroom but we didn't know where it was. I couldn't see the waiter, so I walked up to the bar, only to have the three people there ignore us, even though one was looking right at us. Bill was over $300 for three people. 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, 3 drinks, a 3% surcharge for paying with a credit card, and 5 separate people who didn't seem to care about their customers. Ridiculous.

Welp better late than never. I came across this chill, cozy, comfortable restaurant that offers way more than a chat and chew environment (which unfortunately the Exton area has more than enough off so this spot is not only welcome. It is needed!) And just so we're clear the K -BBQ as it reads on the physical sign is the same restaurant as O2 K-BBQ found in a quick Google search. The physical sign and the name that appears on the web don't match. I confirmed this with our hostess. It was previously a Red Robbins and now makes for a nice date night for its energetic vibe that offers a friendly yet playful atmosphere. Everybody loves (and should love) an outdoor beergarden with occasional live music, good sports, and a wide selection of drinks and menu items for all...BUT this is one of those microcosm places for the downfall of restaurant dining in the modern age: 1) The beer selection is ungodly expensive. $8 for a can of beer? Woof. Bonus points, however, given for Eagles games prices and the addition of some Stables-specific beers (pale ale and another). 2) You really have to review your check. Recently had an experience where my son ordered a burger from the kids menu, then asks him, "For you side, do you want chips or fries?" He answers fries. A few moments later, there's a plate with the burger and chips along with a side plate of fries. I highlight that he asked for fries and they still brought chips and if that's an issue. Server shares that the kitchen likes to still give out chips even if the side is changed since the chips are specially made (and tasty!). The sad part: the server never says that selecting fries is an upcharge. There's nothing on the menu that says fries are an upcharge. But when my son answers the question "would you like chips or fries?" it is assumed that means it's a selection at the same price. It's not. One more thing: they charged more money for a local beer than what was listed. When brought to their attention, the initial server was very understanding and the manager rectified it on the check.

If Chef Francis Pascal's name sounds vaguely familiar, this is undoubtedly because he and his wife,…read moreNui, are the proprietors of the immensely popular Birchrunville Store Café. Making its debut in 1999, this charmingly intimate BYOB quickly became critically acclaimed for its sophisticated French-Italian fusion cuisine... L'Olivo Trattoria, the couple's most recent venture, opened for business in October 2025, settling ever-so-comfortably into the space previously occupied by Suburban Brewing Company. L'Olivo, which means The Olive Tree, pays homage to Chef Pascal's Italian roots and his mother's heritage, offering patrons a menu inspired by generations of family recipes and a passion for authentic Italian cuisine. Originally from France, Chef Pascal began his culinary journey with classical French training, later broadening his experience in both France and Italy. In 1989, he brought his culinary expertise to America at the Monte Carlo Living Room in Philadelphia... Joining him as the power behind the stove is Executive Chef Jonathan Amann, formerly of the highly regarded Amani's BYOB in Downingtown. Even without perusing the menu, given the background of the proprietors and the culinary credentials of the dynamic duo holding forth in the kitchen, you can be reasonably certain that the food served at L'Olivo is not going to be typical run-of-the-mill Italian fare. But let me clarify... If your primary predilection leans toward items such as spaghetti & meatballs smothered in marinara, trust me, you have definitely come to the wrong address. The cuisine here is both subtle in approach and sophisticated in style. Culinary creativity is very much in evidence; but it is appetizingly understated, making itself known in an enticing whisper rather than a screeching howl... My dining companion and I lunched here recently and were most impressed. The menu - divided into Antipasto, Salads, Paninis, Pasta, Dessert, and Sides - provided just enough interesting choices to arouse the appetite without befuddling the brain. Since my dining partner loves bread in any way, shape or form, it was no surprise that she went straight for the Mozzarella Stuffed Focaccia garnished with olive oil and fresh herbs. For my part, since I thoroughly enjoy pasta in whatever manifestation it may be presented, the Baked Orecchiette (pictured) pressed all the right buttons. The "little ears" were beguilingly blended with nuggets of pork belly; spatters of spinach, tomato, ricotta, provolone, and mozzarella; and finished with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente, the seasonings superb. A rather straightforward dish, but also quite profound in its simplicity... And utterly delicious. I would hasten to add that, although we did not partake, both the Godfather Burger (smash burger, mortadella, provolone, Calabrian chili aioli, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle on brioche) and the Salmon BLT Burger sounded mighty tempting... Ditto the Grilled Eggplant Panini and Primavera Bucatini (sautéed vegetables, tomato herb broth, house-made bucatini, fresh parmesan). Should you be planning to stop in for lunch, they are certainly worthy of your consideration. In the meantime, my dining companion and I were confronted with a little gastronomic conundrum of our own: choosing dessert(s). The possibilities included a number of the usual suspects - Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Blood Orange Panna Cotta - as well as a tempting Chocolate Crostata (toasted hazelnut tart with salted caramel & chocolate ganache)... Decisions. Decisions... We finally decided to take the down-home route, sharing a Butterscotch Bundt Cake crowned with vanilla gelato. Which, I am happy to add, was a most satisfying conclusion to our afternoon at table. We'll be back for dinner... At which time I will post a complete second review of our dining experience.

I live in NYC and it truly was at the level of fine dining Italian in New York. I had the L'olivo to drink, which is their version of a dirty martini. It was strong and tasty. Loved the blue cheese olives! To start, we shared the caesar salad and stuffed figs. Both were incredible! The presentation of the caesar salad was so unique. I would order both again. For my entree, I had the pasta zucca which is their butternut squash pasta. It was next level. I will dream about this! Every flavor combined together perfectly to make the perfect dish. If you like butternut squash, you will love this. We didn't have room for dessert, but I definitely want to try the tiramisu next time. Can't recommend this restaurant more!
