This is really good restaurant and venue for private dining events. Our company was able to host about 50 people in the back outside patio. We had an open bar and dinner buffet. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and space was perfect for us to talk and enjoy the evening. There is also a fire pit where we were located so you can still have a nice evening when the weather gets a bit cooler. I will definitely go back and recommend them if you're in town.

I was seated in a booth, even as a party of one. The restaurant is beautifully decorated to match their theme. The service is attentive and friendly. They have an amazing Happy Hour. The hummus and calamari were plentiful and tasty. A must try.

Wednesday night and it was packed ! They have complementary valet parking (just give them a tip) and they (you) need it. I would recommend you also have a reservation. We were seated right away (in the bar area) and once they were ordered our drinks came out fairly quickly. Our entrees on the other hand took awhile, almost on the verge of too long since we had tickets to a play in the area. In the end, everything worked out fine. The Jockey Burger with cheddar cheese and bacon jam was large and very good. It would have been better if it had been cooked medium, as ordered, rather than medium well the way it was served. The pub fries were crispy and perfect. The delicious Tomahawk Pork Chop with roasted apples was a very large cut, and was cooked perfectly. It was served with a side of Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and garlicky sautéed spinach. The regular dining room looked maybe a little nicer than where we were seated but both rooms were on the loud side. Would we go back - yes. The menu is not all that big but had things that looked interesting.

It was a Saturday afternoon, few games on, not too crowded. Started with the lamb and spinach eggrolls which were shareable and mildly spiced. They had a full cocktail bar and beers on tap. Tried the hefe and a lager which were ok. Loved the high ceilings and the airy space. Food/drink 3, service 4. Return probability 35%.

This was our first time at The Jockey and we will be back. The brunch was fantastic and the service was great. My husband had the omelette and I had shrimp and grits. Each entree came with a side of fruit and an adult beverage. We had a Bloody Mary and it was so good. The owners of this restaurant did a great job with the renovations and added a lot of great details. I highly recommend trying The Jockey. You will not be disappointed.

Packed on a Saturday night, definitely need a reservation for a seat. We had to wait a while to even get a seat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive even though they were nonstop busy. It's a beautiful space. They clearly planned every detail. There was live music at the bar- talented piano player/ singer. Jockey Julep- classic mint julep. Pretty strong but very little mint flavor. Basically sweetened bourbon. Brisket nachos- tender juicy and great flavor brisket on its own. Crispy but heavy. Not much cheese but tons of onions French dip-, huge portion. Was cold by the time I got it. Good tender meat but no flavor at all. Meat is very bland with no seasoning. Very greasy. Thick gravy instead of au jus dip, it's not seasoned and you can still taste the flour roux. Burger- basic burger, nothing special. Very little flavor. Fries are crispy and have a nice coating.

This is the drink that came with my husband's brunch. It is a Bellini we didn't remember that they serve the glass half full?

We usually enjoy our brunch here once in a while at Jockey Tavern , Malvern PA . Unfortunately this time we were surprised that my husband's Bellini that came with his brunch arrived half full. We asked a different waiter if it was normal to get a Bellini half full ? and he said it was . We would've ordered another Bellini, but decided not to because of the fact that it was half full. Good to know.

Parking was a mess and the main hostess should not be doing that job. Got off to a bad start but the waiter, food and decor made up for it.

When I first drove up, I didn't not immediately recognize it as the former Ship Inn because the traffic pattern at the intersection was different and the building looked more updated. He vouched for her Old Fashioned which just happened to be what I had planned to order. The Old Fashioned was good. She made it with Evan Williams Bourbon. It had a good blend so that it was not too sweet, too bitter or overpowered by the bourbon. My friend ordered Garlic Parmesan wings which he seemed to enjoy. We sat talking for a couple of hours and never felt rushed. The vibe at the bar was friendly as folks came in and out for drinks. I will go back and check out the restaurant next time.

I freely admit that I was skeptical at first... But after several satisfying dinners - usually as a…read moreprelude to an evening at nearby People's Light - Fork & Bottle has not only captured my attention, it has also continued to impress. The setting, as you would undoubtedly surmise, is typically hotel-esque in nature. That being said, however, the room still manages to generate a certain generic charm. And I would also hasten to add that the service - even with our various parties of 20 or more - has been excellent in every respect. But on to the food... The dinner menu isn't quite what you'd expect. Take the starters, for instance. The usual suspects - Cesare Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - as you note, are present and accounted for. However, there are also a number of innovative diversions - such as Soft Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with Delco Lager cheese sauce, Pepperoni Bolognese Flatbread spruced up with crème fraiche, ricotta, Fontina & Parmigiano cheeses, and the Ten Million Dollar Dip that features Maine lobster, sour cream, bacon, cheddar, almond, scallions, and Ritz crackers - that manage to grab your attention. Moving on, diners may choose from either the Entrées category or take a more casual route with Sandwiches & Pub Fare. The former, which lists a number of all-too-familiar ingestibles, still manages to tempt our taste buds by teaming them up with some rather intriguing sidekicks. A not-terribly-exciting Pan Roasted Chicken, for example, is prepared agrodolce, with an alluring sour-sweet demi-glace... Chilean Sea Bass is cooked up teriyaki style... Canadian Salmon is adorned with a sweet & spicy glaze and companioned by mango & yogurt... Sautéed Lamb Sirloin is enhanced with a rich & savory Madeira sauce... and a 10oz Strip Steak basks in an addictive shallot & port wine reduction. Other main course possibilities include Angus Filet au Poivre with cognac cream, Char Grilled Pork Flat Iron marinated with garlic & oregano, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and Broiled Scallop & Lobster Gratin. On the other hand, should you decide to take the Sandwiches & Pub Fare route, have no fear, you will certainly not be disappointed. During previous visits, I sampled the Garganelli Pasta Bolognese and the Chicken Cobb Salad. Both were excellent. The former is comprised of buttered garganelli (egg-based pasta from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy), angus beef Bolognese, olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The latter combines mixed lettuces, hard-boiled egg, tomato, blue cheese, bacon, and avocado sprinkled with a zesty lemon vinaigrette. Most recently, my dining companion made straight for the Crab Cake Sandwich, to which she gave an enthusiastic "thumps up." I, on the other hand, couldn't resist the considerable charms of the Chicken Cutlet & Ranch BLT, a luscious combo on toasted brioche immersed in an incredibly addictive herb ranch dressing. I should add that the delicious hand-cut French fries, which accompanied both sandwiches, were a considerable drawing card as well. The dessert menu runs the gamut... from such familiar sweet endings as Crème Brûlée and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake to Mango Lime Cheesecake with raspberry sauce, Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding garnished with vanilla ice cream, and Frozen Mississippi Mud Pie. The restaurant also offers Bassetts Ice Cream & Sorbet, should you be so inclined. For my money, however, nothing quite surpasses The Desmond's Warm Bread Pudding. Bathed in a sweet vanilla sauce, this is one outrageously rich, thoroughly delightful denouement that more than lives up to its considerable reputation. Simply not to be missed.

First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.
