The staff was really nice first and foremost, Pam was a great waitress and paid attention. The inside was somewhat dirty, smelled like dirty mop water, my floor looked dirty, it just wasn't the best. I ordered a margarita, as you can see in the picture there was mold in the ice. The food was great it came out quick, it was steaming hot, my steak was made exactly how I asked for it to be made. Date night with husband. Filets were great...I ordered mine with Parmesan cheese crust on top & medium rare. It was a little thinner than my husbands who ordered the same medium rare but without the crust. His steak was more on the rare side. Still ok. The food was delish!!! We had spinach dip, the courtesy bread (bread offered before meal ; don't know what they call it), the seasonal LAMB CHOPS , chicken tenders, and burger! Our waitress was sweet and prompt, always considerate of our time! (The entrees took a little too long to come to the table. ) HOWWWWEVER, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT SMELL!! To think this is Madison's location and it's very subpar in that area. You walked in and it smells like rotting carpet. Take up that carpet and do a DEEP CLEAN of that facility. Sooo disappointing! We had a party of six on a Thursday night at 4:30 p.m. We were grossed out immediately by the moldy odor permeating throughout the restaurant. After being seated in a corner, our waitress brought us sticky menus. Our waitress was dressed and bathed appropriately, but the other staff in the room looked like they hadn't bathed or changed their clothing in a week. One waiter looked homeless and he was the one who brought some of our food to the table. Five of our dinner orders arrived on time but they somehow forgot the sixth order and we waited 12 minutes before that was brought to the table. The food was very over-salted. The waitress wasn't around when we wanted our check and the host had to go find someone to bring it to us. This restaurant needs a strong, experienced manager to whip it back into shape. Saturday lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse, Madison. Longhorn has definitely upgraded staffing and food here. We were seated quickly, restaurant was clean and comfortable, our server was immediately at our table and took our order. Our food came out quickly and was hot and perfectly prepared. Our server was attentive but not pushy. This was a much better experience than our last visit. I will highly recommended Longhorn, Madison as a go to for either lunch or dinner. The takeout food is usually good but each time we have stopped there to have a sit down meal in restaurant there's hardly anyone seated and have been told there would be anywhere from 15 min to 45 min wait to be seated. Longhorn always been one of my favorite chain restaurant. But this location is kinda disappointing. Place is not busy but our waitress is slow asf. How am I going to eat my appetizer without plates and silverware Food looks appealing as always but my food is kinda salty. Maybe just this location. Everything went well short of me ordering one of the wrong things for my wife but wr still enjoyed it.

Dropped into LongHorn today for lunch and ordered my usual New York Strip. Ordered medium rare and it was cooked to order. My issue today was that the steak was a Sirloin full of gristle and not a New York Strip. Paying for the better cut means paying more and whoever cut the steak didn't know what they were doing. Positives were that the salad was fresh and delicious and the rice pilaf was well seasoned. My server was attentive and seeing how much steak was still on my plate asked if everything was ok, because I didn't have time I just thanked him for good service. The restaurant was clean and has the comfort expected of a moderate priced steak house. I'm willing to give them one more try since this is the only time I've ever been served a poor cut of steak. read more

I walked into this particular LongHorn Steakhouse expecting a nice dinner, but instead had a very disappointing experience. As shown in the video I took, there were several booth seats clearly available. I asked to be seated at one, but was told there were none available -- with no explanation. Booth seating is important to me for personal reasons, and I found it hard to understand why I was denied one when multiple booths were visibly open. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being unfairly judged or dismissed for reasons that were never explained. When I asked to speak with the manager, I found them to be incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. To make matters worse, when I requested the corporate contact information, I was flat-out refused. This kind of treatment makes guests feel unwelcome and unvalued. I expected a far better experience from LongHorn. I hope this location takes steps to improve how they treat their customers -- and I will be thinking twice before returning. 70% of the time our take out order is wrong. You return to the restaurant and they just stare at you as if they don't have an idea of what to do to make things right. I drove back to the place for a missing "Brussels Sprouts" side item with all food in the bag from a pick up 30 minutes earlier and the server wanted me to wait until she got the item as if it was no big deal. I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm not sure who is most responsible, the management or our server himself. The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, but still, I'm a server myself and we usually just make it work if it's busy. We were told there was a wait, and when we got in, the restaurant was half empty. I'm about to get into my review of the service and food but keep in mind- may be a staffing issue. We sat down and about 4 minutes later, our server came over to introduce himself. He was quiet, unenthusiastic, and spoke as if he wanted to be anywhere in the world but standing in front of our table. After giving our drink and food orders, about 10 minutes had passed and we still didn't have any water or bread. I had to go walk over to another server and ask them to check on it. Then our guy finally brought over our water and drinks, some bread, and some share plates that were sopping wet on the bottom. But he also forgot to bring over a knife. We wanted to let him know, but he was nowhere to be found. So we just made do and ripped off the bread and dipped it in the butter. Luckily the butter was pretty soft. Then comes the food. And once again, he drops the food and forgets to put down the silverware (which this time we alert him of this fact). That's like the cardinal sin of being a server- leaving the food for your guests in no position for them to actually eat it; It's like dangling a treat in front of your dog and swiping it away. I joked, "well looks like we'll just have to eat it with our hands" and my brother was so hungry he pounced on his steak and went to town. Our server finally brought the silverware like 5 minutes later as my food was now cold. I got a ribeye, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. I ordered medium rare, and I could practically hear it moo. It was overseasoned as all get outs. Then my mashed potatoes tasted like that just add water stuff you get from Kroger. My broccoli was also clearly fresh out the microwave, with some bizarre lemon zest squirted on top. Once again, I don't know who to blame for these atrocities, looked like there might be some staffing issues (we came around Christmas, maybe no one wants to work around the holidays) but this place was a disaster from start to finish and I would not recommend anyone eat here before they right the ship. read more

Waitress came to see us only 3 times in those 2.5 hours and brought our food out cold and unwanted. Waitress had an unappreciative attitude and acted like she didn't want us there with each minimal contact just to return to her phone, had to ask another server just for silverware, 5 minutes after we got our Luke warm food. Ok, this is a rare 5 star review for a chain restaurant. This restaurant gets 5 stars not only for the food but for the service and the manager. My server was Abby and she was amazing. Friendly, polite, and spot on punctual. The manager, Terrell Cyrus was awesome, very friendly. I had the filet and lobster tail, cooked to perfection. The flavor and tenderness was what you'd expect from a $50 steak. Terrell has it clicking on all cylinders. read more
