We went to Longhorn in montgomery AL on 1/26/26 for my wife birthday. When we got there it was cold in the waiting area but everyone said maybe it's because the front door is constantly being open. When they say us, it was still cold. The waitress explained that the heating unit was broke. We asked to speak to the GM Mr Hill. He was very rude and dismissive. His comments were, you decided to eat here not me and no I'm not giving out any discounts. He continued to say that you should have went somewhere else. We arrived here a few minutes after opening. We had a party of 7 and waited until they put the tables together. Once seated, our waitress took drink orders, delivered those and gave us a few minutes to decide on entrees. I didn't catch her name but she was very attentive/helpful. I want to say it was a manager who helped her deliver food to the table and checked on us throughout our dining experience. I ordered a medium well Ribeye and loaded baked potato but added the Brussels Sprouts as an additional side. The overall meal was pretty good. There wasn't a long wait for all of the food to be delivered to the table. Those who had salads had time to enjoy those before other food arrived. Stopped in with a friend for an early dinner. Plenty of parking as this place is on the far end of a strip mall. But we were shocked when told our wait would be 45-60 mins on a Sunday. After about 30 mins, we saw a couple spots at the bar open up so we grabbed the seats. The place was definitely packed and at least a dozen or so groups were waiting to be seated. And on top of that, call-in orders to go and Grubhub pickups, and I think the kitchen was overloaded. We munched on the Spicy Chicken bites...which were good. I also ordered the Grilled Chicken & Strawberry salad. The salad was tasty too. This is a Coke house folks, sorry Pepsi drinkers. Now on a busy Sunday evening, service was below par in my opinion. I acknowledge that this place was busy, however, I definitely didn't get a sense of urgency from any of the staff. When we asked for anything, it took a very long time to show up. In fact, part of our order was missing. We asked a couple times, but eventually cancelled our request. Food here is good, but the service (under busy conditions) needs improvement. The wildwest shrimp was drenched in grease. When I asked could I have a fresh serving I was told they had to change the grease. Customer service was great with my server but food is horrible. I normally have $120 ticket. I cancelled my dine in and to go order. I've visited this place too many times and had too many bad experiences. I'm done for a couple months, maybe years. read more

This was your typical Longhorn. Really nothing special about it. Long wait to get seated and a pretty long wait to get your food, drinks, etc. We did appreciate the opportunity to sit at the bar and be seated sooner. Wonderful dining experience. My family made a stop at this location in the middle of the afternoon. We were traveling back to NC from being on vacation in Florida. We were immediately seated. Had an absolutely great waiter by the name of Charles. So friendly and attentive, we really appreciated the care and attention he showed us during our visit. I know if you've been to one Longhorn youve been to them all but truly the hostess and waitstaff can make or destroy an entire experience. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because of my server. If Kymberlin wasn't my server I would have given 1 star to this restaurant. Beginning with the Rude woman who was at the hostess station. We walk in, we say Hello and she says..Yes! I said table for 2, she looks around then makes a motion like she was looking for a table. A young man walked up and she said to him..You do this! That should have been my first sign. After waiting 15 minutes for our table, which wasn't a big deal, the same young man seated us. Once at the table and waiting 10 minutes for our waitress, we learned that there was some confusion about who would take our order. My second sign. We place our order for drinks, appetizers and entrees all together because we figured it would take a while. At this point we've been seated 25 minutes. After waiting patiently, Kym brings us bread and we ask about our drinks for us to be told they don't have a particular rum..Bacardi. Signs, signs, signs. So, now we've been here 45 minutes. One entrée makes it to the table, and I had to wait 5 minutes longer for the second one. For both meals the potatoes were cold, my rice was salty and my salad arrived after my entrée. But, it gets better. Our appetizer arrived while eating our entrée, and we've officially been here an hour now. More signs! The reason for the 3 stars, each time we had a question about something she tried to make it right. But we observed the bartender, other workers and management be very unprofessional. They act like they did you a favor by showing up. There were a lot of errors that were not corrected with my order. I had to ask three times over a fifteen minute period for a refill. On my visit to Longhorn, I tried to go with something different today instead of my usual steak and homemade steak sauce. If you haven't tried that steaksauce, do yourself a favor and give it a try. I had been eyeing the Primetime Burger. This burger is a half-pound patty with shaved prime rib, cheese, mushrooms, onions, and served with horseradish and au jus. Think of it as prime rib except on a burger. The burger says a half-pound patty, but when it came out, it looked smaller than what I expected. I like my burgers cooked medium and this was more well-done than medium. Besides that, the burger was very good but not spectacular as what it sounds. Parmesan fries come with it. Parmesan cheese on fries sound like a wonderful idea except the parmesan cheese doesn't really stick to the fries. It needed some garlic butter or something to help with that. Sweet tea was wonderful. I tried the Primetime Burger out of curiosity but I'm sticking with my steak next time. read more

This is one of the last good restaurants on this side of town in Montgomery. It is very clean. The service is great. The food is good, as well. Parking is generally pretty easy. When I am in town, I often get food to-go from here. My usual dish is the salmon with rice and a salad. It is pretty consistent. On my latest visit, I actually dined in. I had the ribs and a baked potato. My grandmother had the grilled shrimp. Again the food was good and the service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Despite having multiple parties of 10 to 15, we were seated relatively quickly and did not experience a delay in service at all. Definitely recommend. read more

Really good food tonight. Service was outstanding. My 8 oz renegade was cooked perfectly. The broccoli was really well done tonight also. I forgot my card and the server brought my card to me before I left. My friend had the 20 oz ribery and an Arnold Palmer, and his food was also cooked well. Service was outstanding. Went there tonight with a party of 8. Had a long wait but knew that when we put our name in. Our server was busy when we were seated so the manager took it upon himself to take drink order and appetizer. Started up a conversation and introduced our waitress Ashley and remembered we were heading south for a baseball tournament. The Filet mignon taste really good and it taste fresh and they know how to do it perfect way and their French fries With perma John cheese is so good too. Also their fries is fresh for sure and they are hot. However, I forgot my self once I started eating that dish. My experience there was terrible. I was racially discriminated and it was shameful and disgusting to experience such hate at a restaurant. Me and two of my coworkers sat at the bar and attempted to order alcoholic beverages. The waitress asked me for my ID. I did not have my ID on me due to me just getting off of work. She said she can not serve me her boss will fire her on the spot without that ID. I asked her to get him so that I can ask. He told me he has to have the hard copy. My coworker asked if a picture would work. He said no he has to have the hard copy of my ID or he can't serve me. I also asked for a dinner menu. The waitress said yes we have them but that menu is more expensive than our lunch. I said I didn't mention anything about how much something cost I want the dinner menu. She said alright but it's cheaper to buy from our lunch menu the only difference is you will get one side instead of two. A young white couple entered into the restaurant, looking the same age as me, sat down at the bar. The same waitress asked them for their drinks and they ordered some beers. Not at any given second did she ask them for their ID'S. So I confronted her about it. I said not once did you asked them for their ID'S but I get asked for my ID. She told me they looked older. I said looked older, no they did not present their ID'S therefore you shouldn't of have served them or otherwise you will get fired is that not what you just told me. I then told her to go get her boss. She claims she couldn't find him. He then approached the bar and I walked over to him and I said you all can't serve me without my ID correct. He said yes I have to have that ID. I said your waitress just served them their beers without asking for their ID'S. Now how is it the white couple don't get asked for their ID but I do. The manager said well you have to have your ID or look over the legal age. I looked down there and said they look just about the same age as me and I'm 32 years old. I said I sick of this racial crap you told me the only way to serve me was with my ID you didn't say anything about looking a certain age and on top of that she believed that i couldnt "afford" your dinner menu. This is discrimination and it is sad that yall chose to be like this. I said keep the damn food and I walked out. Don't eat here at the location in Montgomery, Al. The staff is racist, the manager is a racist and the atmosphere has such negative vibes if you are black. I will never step foot in here again. read more
