I was sad when this chain left Arvada Colorado but I love it in Salina, KS. The food is so good the steak has always been cooked to perfection. The chocolate dessert was heavenly and had to take home to eat!!!! They have room for groups someone celebrating a grandmothers big birthday and others with teens or dates. A very nice place. I was so happy to finally get to eat at my favorite restaurant in Salina since Covid-19. But as soon as we sat down, we noticed the lady next to us had a dog sitting on her lap. And she was constantly scolding it and yelling at it. It was so obviously NOT a service dog. She complained loudly that they put spices on her french fries so her dog couldn't eat them. She hollered at every waitstaff that walked by about something. I'm sure they were as happy as us when she finally left. AND they no longer have the flat-iron steak that Jack likes, so he doesn't ever want to go back there. Too bad management couldn't have stood up to her and refused her service. My wife and I are in the process of moving from California to Nebraska, we stopped in Salina, KS in our Motorhome for the night. We decided to get supper out and pick Longhorn Steakhouse. This is the first time for us trying this restaurant. We ordered the 18oz Ribeye "medium rare" with broccoli and sweet potato. We got the supper to take back to our Motorhome. It was absolutely the best Steak and side dishes we have had in quite a while. The seasonings were right on target. We will definitely be going to more Longhorn Steakhouses. The Service was friendly and polite. I spent the time waiting for the meal to discuss our move from California with my server. I had exactly what I wanted from steakhouse - steak - three different times , that in it self says something So the ribeye, t- bone and porterhouse were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Medium rare, and very tender, almost could cut it with a fork. So with that in mind it's a bit pricey but so is all beef right now. But I really liked that steaks and had some appetizers. there's were really nice as well, mac and cheese, and a beefy soup which was a bit thick almost like gravy. read more

This place does not know how to cook a steak... maybe a hamburger and some cheese curds ...but not a steak.. I ordered a 16 ounce ribeye.. the damn thing was so thin couldn't believe it.. I'm sure it was 16 ounces but not great. A thin steak never cooks great.. had three different waitresses come to the table how annoying.... Well, on other occasions at other Longhorns, we have had better experiences. This time, not so much. We ordered salads, and one was supposed to be a wedge, I guess this was the chef's interpretation but it came as "deconstructed ". Not even halfway through our salads, our entrees came, and we had to request some bread. Along with this , we were never asked if we would like another drink. Now, the food was tasty and cooked to order, so that was good. Before I was even close to finishing my dinner, the waiter came and shoved the check next to my plate. My family and I came to longhorn for lunch and they didn't have any ribs "left". It was 11:45am. When the store opens up in the morning, everything should be ready. Our waitress also kept forgetting things that we asked her to bring out. We kept having to ask for refills as well.
