The staff and residents went above and beyond for my Mom after a car accident and later, her terminal illness. The staff moved out all her furniture and placed it in their storage while we rented a medical grade mechanical bed, chair, commode, wheelchair, etc for her recovery after the car accident. They did this while Mom was still in the ER. So, everything was set up when she returned to Creekside. These details were typical for the staff to voluntarily do for residents all the time. Everything was wonderful at Creekside- the loving staff, the involved and friendly residents, the programs (live music every week!), the food (so good!), and the opportunity to be with people who still want to gather and explore the world. Lots of residents also travel the world, and then share their adventures. I felt that the room rate was reasonable for all the big and little things that happen at Creekside. Mom moved in in 2023, and Creekside was still more affordable that other places we toured in Woodinville. I heard from other Creekside residents that were already living there that the rates jumped up because the rates were so much lower than anywhere else, and covid supply prices (food, electrical, cable, property taxes, etc.) forced them to increase the rates. Creekside is not skimping on maintenance and cleaning and upkeep. Yelp is doing something weird with the algorithm, as there are some 5 star reviews that are hidden and not counted in the score of Creekside. I knew two of those reviewers, as I lived at Creekside for a year with them, so that Mom could stay after a disabling car accident and later, CJD. I find it weird that by not including those positive reviews, the score of Creekside is so low. This is a 5 star place! Its easy to find out if you take a tour, and ask any resident living there today for their honest opinion.

My family member has lived there for 5 months and hates it. The food is not good and often served cold, the staff is on burnout from being short staffed, the front desk employees are very young and immature and seem to only care about getting paid. When we looked at this place a few months back it felt warm, the residents seemed happy, and staff seemed caring, that feeling is gone. Seems like corporate policies have taken over with high rental increases, no support to the community, and staff turnover issues. We are in the process of looking for a new place for my loved one.

Worse, Yelp seems to arbitrarily choose which reviews contribute to the rating and which don't. I'll take the risk and actually attempt a complete review. First, some context. There are two distinct portions of this facility to consider, with distinct amenities/features and depending on where your loved one needs to be you should evaluate them separately. The upper two floors are independent and/or assisted living facilities. The lower floor is a memory care facility. My mother moved in to the Memory Care facility after we considered many other options. From a value perspective, this was hands down the best option. I visited at multiple different times during the day and interacted with most of the staff there, and every single one of them was an outstanding, patient professional doing their best. As others have noted, for patients who should not be left alone (for safety reasons, like frequent falls) they are frequently together in an "activity room" where the smaller number of staff is capable of watching them. However, what other reviewers have NOT noted is that this is part of dementia care, establishing routines. They are not "left unattended". In my case, I knew my mother would feel more comfortable in her own room surrounded by her own things, and paid extra for someone to come just sit with her. The savings over other facilities enabled me to afford this; you just have to set your expectations on what a facility is able to do. During my frequent visits I also chatted with many of the "upstairs" residents. These were frequently well-educated people... retired aerospace engineers from Boeing. Senior management at tech companies. Master's degrees. Doctorates. They knew value and they moved here from other facilities and were happy with their choices. Sure, not everything was perfect here but they knew that, and still considered it better than other places they'd come from. Now, the reason this is 4 stars instead of 5, is that despite being full of great staff, there simply aren't enough of them. Maintenance requests have a multiple-week backlog (unless it's an emergency). It took over 3 weeks just to get a cable box/tv hookup. They need more maintenance staff. While there's always someone on call at the front desk, typically they can only write something down and call/email someone else. There's supposed to be an on-call manager every day but it frequently took me over an hour to get in contact with them. Communicating by trying to actually meet someone was rare; I got the best response via email. That's not how it should be. Not everything was perfect at Overlake Terrace, but I still think it was better than any other alternative I considered and would choose to go there again -- and would recommend it over many specific alternative places I visited. Is it the best? Probably not. Is it the best value, and flexible enough for you to translate your savings into customized care for your loved one? Absolutely.

Both staff and volunteers at this hospice center are true angels. My family is eternally indebted. The Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center is the only freestanding hospice center in King and Snohomish counties. The beautiful Cape Cod-style facility was designed to be as home-like as possible, consistent with safety, security and excellent medical care. The Center's 15 private patient rooms include sleeping spaces for visitors, a private bath with shower, TV and a wardrobe closet. Each room opens to an outdoor patio with a view of the park-like gardens. The gardens include a lush courtyard with a waterfall, a children's play area and walking paths through the rose and alpine gardens. Families and friends can visit at any time, and children are very welcome. The comfortable family rooms throughout the Center are furnished with sofas and chairs, TV, desks, and telephones. The main family room has a children's corner designed to offer little ones comfort and a place to play. Each wing also has a full kitchen, which allows families to cook special meals if they so choose. The Center is named for Gene and Irene Wockner, whose initial support provided the resources needed to research and plan for the Center. The Wockner family's generosity continues to provide for Evergreen Hospice Services.

Absolutely wonderful facility!…read more Did some extensive research on options for Gma about a year before she moved in, June of 2025. Wanted a quality place where she would feel at home and be able to make friends and socialize and stay busy. The Executive Director, Madelyn, is absolutely fabulous to work with, you can tell she really cares about the residents and has a passion for what she does. The support staff and activities team are all so welcoming, smiley and overall great to be around and provide a very warm and welcoming vibe for residents and visitors! We did some extensive research into assisted living facilities and this was by far my #1 choice for reasons I will list below: 1. The amenities - activities galore and always changing, well thought out and the activities staff are friendly and are proficient in social engagement for the elderly and cognitively impaired. They do a good job of offering lots of engagement opportunities for residents. 1.a. - Addtl ammenitites - attached bistro that is open to the public, resident key required for entry from bistro into the facility. Nice for a little change of scenery 1. b. - Addtl - salon on site! Addtl fee, but there is a hair salon ON SITE ... I believe they might do nails as well but not sure... but this is SO convenient for those that don't drive and don't want to hassle with booking the resident shuttle LOVE LOVE This! & it's right off the entry way so it has a nice window view to the street 1. c. - Addtl - shuttle! The resident shuttle can be booked to take vehicle-less residents to their doctors appointments, or any other places within a 5 mile radius that they need to go! They typically have a weekly grocery trip on the activities calendar as well, so there's a pre-planned trip that everyone can go on for any grocery needs. 2. The facitity itself - always clean, very beautifully decorated, love the small touches of real flowers on the lunch tables when they have them as well as holiday decor, little snack and treats in the lounging area with some fresh water, apples and cookies, great layout of the facility, good location with a decent flat walkway right out front that residents can go for easy walks. Elavators with key required access to go to up resident floors. Location is RIGHT down the street from Overlake hospital, which is convenient, we did have to go there one evening when gma was having dizziness and vomiting and it only took a few minutes to get there. VERY convenient for healthcare reasons. 2. a Rooms - rooms are somewhat small but are perfect size for one or two people that are mostly going to be out and about in the facility the majority of the day. Each room has decent views so that is very nice (we looked at several different options of rooms before choosing). The bathrooms are large and perfect for safety for the age range of target residents. Linens and house keeping are provided once a week!!! Yay!!! 3. Care & safety - The assisted staff bring meds in the AM and they do nightly safety check rounds, call button lanyard for each resident and emergency safety pulls in each restroom in the facility and in each private resident restroom. RN on staff with 24/7 staff on site who can call the on-call RN if needed. Concierge staffed desk during the open hours of the facility, which is so nice there's always someone monitoring who is coming in, check in required with name badge. Resident key required for elavators up to floors! 4. Food & dining - the food is excellent and a well thought out rotating menu. Some of the same, regular items available, but always a new highlighted daily menu with new and exciting items. The food is clearly quality and cooked well, they didn't hire just anyone, the chef is a real chef! The dining room is open access all day from AM until dinner time, I think they close up at 6pm. 5. Staff - how the facility chooses their staff and what type of staff they have on site says a lot. All the staff during my visit seems welcoming, pleasant, smiling, helpful and overall enjoyed being at their jobs. The long term care sector can be one that is overlooked and underserved and we were not going to choose a place that hires people that don't want to be at their jobs because caring for loved ones is a very important role and this was a huge factor for us as well. 6. Price - price is expensive but honestly is similar to other facilities yet far exceeds in value above and beyond the others that we looked at. We visited this place about a year prior to moving Gma in, they allowed us to come for a complementary lunch and activity to get a feel and be shown around and all that. Mom and I visited, did the tour and looked at rooms and a later date I brought Gma for lunch and an activity. I was very pleased with the experience and recently visited Gma in Oct of 2025, a few months after she moved in, for about a week and a half. The experience was nothing less than the prior visit! A+++ would HIGHLY recommend!

The caregivers are first rate and have been there for a long time. They are so warm, funny personal, and observant. Each time I visit, I feel great leaving Mom in such caring hands. The house is modern yet cozy and homey. It couldn't be cleaner. It is in a quiet tree-lined street and has a backyard and side patio. The home cooked meals look and smell delicious, and at holidays they pull out all the stops!! We are truly satisfied with all aspects of Mom's care at Sun Village!

The first two had a corporate vibe, and sent me directly into a voicemail black hole. It was days before I heard back. When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. This is just one example of the many, many I could share about the excellent care With A Little Help offers. They aren't a corporate-care behemoth. They are local, owner run, and some of the most caring people I've met in a long time. Kacie and Paul, the owners, worked with us to find the caregivers that are the best fit for our situation. The caregivers are highly skilled, professional, and compassionate. All of them have giant hearts. Some words that come to mind when talking about With A Little Help: Professional Flexible Kind Collaborative Communicative Compassionate Responsive Punctual Attuned For us, With a Little Help has been something of a miracle.
