It's beautifully set amongst the trees with the river just on the other side of the road. The lodge boasts hotel rooms and cabins. It has an indoor pool, bar, a dining room with its own bar, a conference room, a huge lobby with a fireplace and large chessboard, a patio, and lots of seating. The dining room takes reservations, and if you plan to go on a holiday (especially Mother's Day) book way ahead. They also take walk-ins. The food is so good. My favorite is the fried chicken. Once I saw what the weekly special pasta was, I had to have it. I am a huge fan of Smoked Salmon and they did theirs in house. I enjoyed it chilled and it was like eating a cold pasta salad. DPH always gets bonus points from me for having eco-friendly to-go vessels.
