So sadly I accidentally stumbled on to this, and come to find out based on the reviews on Yelp,…read morethis has been going on for almost a YEAR! damn it. I like the variety of trucks each week, so it makes it nice to come back week after week. Being so far away from the Westside, I always grumble about how trucks never come out into the SGV, but with weekly truck venues like this and the Truck Squad at Best Buy in Fullerton each Friday, I'm finally getting the chance.

Last Wednesday, the following trucks came to the Rowland Heights Truck Fiesta:…read more Shrimp Pimp Truck (@shrimppimptruck): I have tried the Shrimp Pimp Truck a couple times before and really enjoyed their Po Boy very much! Fresh Fries LA (@freshfriesLA): I have not tried Fresh Fries LA, but I saw a lot of people at this truck. Maybe next time, okay? 105 Chuck Wagon (@105ChuckWagon): Ahh...this was the only truck playing my favorite jams!! I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC! I sampled their beef brisket and it was okay, but I liked their pulled pork slider more. For those of you who love cupcakes, they carry the most DELICIOUS cupcakes from B Sweet (@mybsweet). Chunk n Chip (@chunknchip): These guys were the biggest reasons why I came to this truck fiesta stop. Unfortunately, I was REALLY disappointed. I spent about $10 on two ice cream sandwiches that didn't have quality taste. You can read my review here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/chunk-n-chip-cookies-orange-county#hrid:0M3c1aTx3lt5aW_9l1Bhmg Mambo Juice Truck (@MamboJuiceTruck): Unfortunately, I didn't feel like drinking juice, so I didn't try these guys out. Hopefully, next time! :) Lomo Arigato (@lomoarigato): Looking for a REAL MEAL? Tired of just nibbling little things from different food trucks? I've tried these guys probably over 5 times and LOVED it! For those who love Peruvian food, you may want to try these guys out! Jogasaki Burrito (@JogasakiBurrito): These guys were pretty busy and I didn't want to try them JUST yet. I'm waiting for the WOW factor. The turnout was actually not that bad and there were a lot of people coming in at different times. Speaking of times, the Rowland Heights Truck Fiesta feature different trucks every Wednesday from 5:30PM-9PM. Parking isn't really that bad and there's always someone conducting traffic, which is pretty cool. Every week, it's a different truck, so you might just want to follow these guys on Twitter. PS - A lot of these trucks are CASH ONLY, so bring it.

There are lots of food booths (mostly Mexican food) and several other booths selling a variety of items. Taquiza Sinaloense immediately caught my husband's eye, and he ordered a soft taco with chorizo and potato. It was delicious! I wanted to walk around the entire place before ordering more food from Taquiza Sinaloense. There was a really nice lady there who told us that their food is the best, and she said she knew we'd be back. She was right! Although other booths had appetizing food, it just didn't compare. Their presentation was beautiful! We each ordered a plate, which included rice, beans, and our choice of two items. The guy who helped us was so nice and let me sample a few items before I made my decision. My husband ordered chile verde and beef. I ordered chipotle chicken and this amazing mixture of chiles, corn, and cheese. OMG! It was incredibly delicious! Each plate was $14, which is a great price since we both had leftovers. We will definitely go back. I will try to order food from different vendors next time. If you decide to check this place out, make sure to try Taquiza Sinaloense! You won't be sorry!

Well that did not happen to me when I finally got to try a Lobster roll from the famous LobstaTruck. A few years ago I was at the Tustin AMC when I saw the truck. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. A few months ago I was somewhere that they were going to be only to learn that the truck broke down and the killer was last month when I was in Irvine and saw on Twitter that they were a couple blocks away. I finished my meeting and drove right over only to see the driving away. Aaahhgggg!!!! So today was a few miles away in Long Beach and decided to try the roll. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup. The Marine that was eating next to me also had the soup and it really made me crave it but I had a big breakfast this morning and so I will have to chase down this truck again.

This place is simply overrated…read more The pictures look so GOOD but it felt a little deceiving. The first time my bf and I came here the place said it was open but the building was closed and when we went to the back it was so creepy and dark. This time we tried going again because I kept seeing pics of the birria and the building was closed yet again. We tried to find this food truck and we're so confused but it's on the street around the corner of the wall. There's no signs or anything. I tried calling them as well and they didn't answer. We got an order of asada fries, a birria taco dorados, a chorizo, pollo and Al pastor taco. To summarize everything: the meat had no flavor. Birria had no spice, chorizo tasted like old oil, Al pastor lacked seasoning and chicken STAY AWAY. The chicken was a nightmare. Fries were soft, not crispy. Green salsa was watered down, red salsa tasted of just Chile de arbol and nothing else, guac tasted like pre made powder. The lady who took our order was nice and as a whole everything wasn't insanely bad but the fact that we even had to ask for specific salsas and any other sides/condiments was pretty annoying. There's no way for you to know what they have because they don't have it out or just give it to you. We never got lime or extra onions because we didn't know we had to ask. All they ask is what salsa we want, nothing else. Theres a lot of things this business could do better but right now the food just seems Instagram influenced and not about the actual quality.

I usually order a burger, but since I had a heavy lunch, I thought I'd get some tacos this time. Tacos are not it. For $5 a taco, you are pretty much getting ripped off. On their menu, it clearly states guacamole is included. The taco is literally tortilla, asada, bell peppers and onions. I can make better tacos at home. I was expecting real, authentic style Mexican tacos. But no, I just wasted $25 for 5 skimpy tacos. I know we live in a messed up economy. But for small food trucks to cheat their customers, that some bull. I won't be returning.
