They had their food truck at one of the LA Arboretum events. Speedy dog is famous for the yummy selection of hot dogs. They have speedy hot dog, Hawaiian hot dogs, Asada and Chorizo hot dogs. They have also Hawaiian burgers, Al pastor burgers, Hamon, Chorizo, speedy and El Patrón burgers. The line in the event was very long at different times. Unfortunately,they ran out of many types of hot dogs , burgers , quesadillas by the time my turn came and I reached the food truck. But at least I was lucky to try their their delicious speedy hot dog, Jamon torta and regular burger. They were delicious specially their speedy hot dog. I usually stop by this place on my way home from work since it's close by. But after today's visit, I won't be returning. I usually order a burger, but since I had a heavy lunch, I thought I'd get some tacos this time. Tacos are not it. For $5 a taco, you are pretty much getting ripped off. On their menu, it clearly states guacamole is included. The taco is literally tortilla, asada, bell peppers and onions. I can make better tacos at home. I was expecting real, authentic style Mexican tacos. But no, I just wasted $25 for 5 skimpy tacos. I know we live in a messed up economy. I would have to say this was one of the best tasting danger dogs/bacon dogs in LA. I have seen this small food truck/trailer parked at the location several times but rarely see people there. I was in the mood, so I finally stopped, I believe the man who runs the business was still sort of setting up, but I went basic, the regular dog. It was a jumbo frank wrapped in bacon, the bun, mayo, ketchup, mustard, tomato, onions, the works. I skipped the jalapeños but asked for yellow peppers on the side. I would have had another one, but where have I been? $9, I almost said , "no thanks". I wondered why the prices were not listed on the menu. I thought I was at Dodger Stadium or something, but nonetheless, I think after I ate it, it was worth it. Filling and satisfying. I skipped the bottled mexican sodas they had, but I did ask, $4, which isn't bad for mexican coke and the likes, I have seen some places charge upto $6. For now it is a 4 star for me, it could have been 5 star but the guy was not very friendly and his attitude was more like he would rather be somewhere else. I will say, I will be coming back to try the same or maybe other types of dogs. Wonder what happened to all the other hot dog places that seemed to be on many corners around the area. Was craving good hot dogs late at night and places where either not open or closing. I had to make a couple U turns cause I kept missing the turn into the neighborhood it was in but it was so worth it! The people are kind, friendly, and make great hot dogs!!! I got the chorizo dog and it was just as tasty as it was mouthwatering watching them make it. They got little chairs to sit on and very bright lights. I learned to bring a flashlight if you plan to eat away from the food stand, it's quite dark around the neighborhood. Also, try to not make too much noise if you come here with talkative people at night, people that live in the houses probably would appreciate that. read more

I was watching YouTube and came across a segment on food carts in Mexico City. One of the vendor was making Hawaiian hamburgers, damn it looked so good! Busted out yelp and found speedy dogs! Their hamburger is sooooo juicy and good, extra love is put in there! One of the better burgers I've had in a while. I opted out of the pineapple slice since I was too chicken to try it with, but I do love pineapple pizza! One thing though, eat their burger right away, since they have a lot going on, the bun can get mushy fast! Innards: mayo, some kind of special sauce, mustard, ketchup, tomatoes, cheese, pineapple slice, grilled onions, lettuce and a slice of grilled ham topped with a grilled serrano. - I know you're drooling! Their Hawaiian burger is so good. Even if you don't like the idea of pineapple on a burger, it's just a little bit of extra sweetness and really completes this burger in my opinion. Either way though... try a burger without the pineapple I'm sure it will exceed your expectations.. I was cherishing every bite wishing it wouldn't end. As a new customer I didn't see a menu or anything I asked the guy do you a mani he rudely said we only sell hamburgers and hot dogs he was super rude. Gave them the benefit of a doubt and my husband ordered the hot dogs were really good. I noticed that they tend to run out of things went a second time by 9 pm they didn't have anymore hot dogs because they ran out weenies.
