Terrible experience. Their food quality and service has decreased by A LOT. Not sure if they changed ownership. Stopped there last night at about 9pm to get a birria plate and carne asada fries - $25. There was one couple ordering ahead of me, they had 3 people working inside and it took close to 40 minutes to get my food. The birria plate food was cold, birria had no flavor, i got 3 still tortillas stained with cilantro & onion. Guy asked me if i wanted salsa & he put just ONE green little salsa cup in the bag for both meals. They didn't give any lemon or condiments. It was ridiculous ! take your money elsewhere.

Was craving some birria tacos and saw this food truck nearby. Got tacos dorados with and without cheese, a keto taco (which is basically cheese as the shell, which I really liked) and a consome. It was really good except it was a bit salty for me. Also I wished they had some holes on their takeout box because by the time I get home to enjoy these tacos, they are already a little bit soggy. The consome was $3 for a tiny cup, I think I've been elsewhere with a bigger portion but it's definitely a must with my tacos. They also serve birria ramen which I wanted to try but was too full to do so. Maybe next time!

I Love good tacos And they have good tacos. I had a Carne Asada and Al pastor quesataco. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

This is good if you have no other options. For me , this was super salty. It relies heavy on the Tapatio ramen cup. The consome lacked taste. Sadly, mine had only a bit of meat, sprinkles of onion and maybe one cilantro leaf. None provided on side. No rabanos (radish) ,no lemon, not even a pepino. I'm glad I tried it so I know what I'm in for. Honestly it was late night and nothing else was open. Also glad I had lemon at home. To their credit, the birria taco was very well served meatwise.

I don't even know what to rate it yet , they show you a cali burrito on Instagram with hot Cheetos advertising that it basically comes like that nonetheless we go today to get that and my fiancé gets home to take a bite and theirs No Hot Cheetos in the burrito literally ruined her meal as well as mine because of that smh don't ask how or why but I'm sure your specific other gets pretty bothered when their hungry and go to buy something and drive 25 min their and 25 min back to find out you didn't get what they "advertise" on Instagram . Sucks when you go to a spot for the first time in awhile for it to just ruin your lunch and mood ... I didn't even eat my food right when I was going to take a bite I hear my fiancé already complaining so it ruined my meal for me ... smh .

Delicious!! I drove 25 min for there birria ramen and it did not disappoint its so good has so much birria in it and totally hits the spot on a cool October night. Everyone here is really friendly and go out of there way to make sure you leave happy. Highly recommend stopping by and trying it I guarantee if you do this will become one of your regular spots.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was dead. No line which seemed nice but as soon as we interacted with the lady we understood why. Crappy attitude from the lady working here. Ordered what we wanted and paid 34 dollars for 3 birria tacos, 1 birria taco dorado 1 Mulita and a ramen. Upon coming home with the food I opened the foil and started laughing at how small the tacos were. It's horrible lol. Flavor wasn't that good either. Even the ramen tasted like they dropped a salt shaker in it. Should have just went to the other place that had a line across the way. Well live and learn.

Obviously burnt but still decided to serve. Made the nachos very bitter. Check your order before heading home.

    Carne Asada fries

The carne Asada fries were tasty but not the greatest either. I'm very picky with my carne Asada fries that's why. But that's just me. They come garnished with nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, cilantro and onion and green salsa. Personally I prefer my carne Asada fries with actual cheese melted on them as opposed to nacho cheese sauce and I prefer them to have avocado or guacamole on them too. I've seen some come with beans too and that's also yummy. If it came with all that bang they would've been 5 stars but instead these are a good solid 3 cus they are still tasty the carne Asada is delicious for sure.

This was such a great restaurant for a Sunday lunch! My family and I all wanted different things…read morebut we all agreed on Japanese cuisine. We were seated in a cozy booth and our server took our drink orders. Pop music from the 90s/2000s blasted from the speakers but it created a fun ambiance! We ordered hot sake, Sapporo beer, chicken karaage, gyoza, yellowtail carpaccio, a chicken teriyaki bento box, tonkatsu ramen, and two different rolls (Baja and Bomb Diggity). Everything came out paced well and our server was awesome. We never went without and we were checked on plenty of times. Food was fantastic - the yellowtail tasted so fresh and the sushi rolls were "bomb diggity"!! Everyone enjoyed their meals and I wouldn't hesitate to return to try different items from their menu. There is literally something for everyone but the menu also isn't overwhelming. Parking was easy and plentiful on a Sunday afternoon. This was a 5-star meal for sure.

I almost didn't want to leave a review because the service was great but I do kind of have to share…read moremy experience because it was pretty unacceptable. Firstly, I do want to thank the staff here, they were incredibly courteous, polite, professional, kind and communicative with us. This kind of service is rare these days and while my experience was made a lot better because of their empathetic response, I still think the quality of food needs attention. To start, this spot is at a convenient location - right next to Regal theaters, plenty of parking nearby and none of that street parking metered crap. Definitely a plus. Prices are not cheap, rolls run you about $18 and the size was pretty small. We got a protein roll and a dragon roll as the menu indicates you buy one get one half off. Dragon roll was the skinniest, tiniest, most petite roll I've ever seen in my life and just felt like they cheaped out on it, which is kind of crazy since it's basically just a California roll... imitation crab is insanely cheap, it's not even real crab. Anyway... I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen, plain - only egg & protein and when it was served to us, all I saw was a puddle of grease on top. For those who are unaware, Tonkotsu literally translates to pork bones, so while it is definitely a hearty/fatty broth, it shouldn't have a visibly separated layer of grease on top. You know when you reheat fettuccini alfredo and the oil separates in the microwave? It looked like that. I've tried various tonkotsu ramens - some better than others btw feel free to DM me for suggestions although the locations are not in close range - but none have had that visible grease layer. To be honest, I'm not really one to send things back, although I have picked up on the habit of not accepting crap food lately, so I didn't really mention anything to the waiter regarding the ramen. I slurped my noodles, ate my egg and chashu - both were OK. The chashu was seared and hard to eat, not the usual melt-in-your-mouth deal, and left the bland, greasy broth behind. Sucks because my favorite part of ramen is, of course, the broth. That's really the whole point. Moving on... I noticed my friend stopped eating her protein roll so I was like what's up? She looked at me a little worried and said she thought the salmon was off. I scrunched my face and was like dammit now I have to try this to make sure. Smell was not off, but took a bite of the salmon and that thing was bitter. We told the waiter and he was apologetic and said he'd talk to the kitchen. They said the fish came in yesterday and while I believe them, and could easily blame the heat we've been dealing with recently, we still felt unsafe finishing the food. I appreciate them showing concern for the issue with the food and no reports of food poisoning so far - been like two days now so I'm sure we're fine. Brings me to our total of about $50. Damn. I know sushi and ramen aren't typically cheap items but the quality was nowhere near standard and unfortunately this experience was enough to dissuade me from coming back. I don't want to nitpick, but I just like giving peeps details on certain things so their experience may not come as a surprise, but the general atmosphere of this spot was also a bit... different. They were playing loud music, I recall hearing 500 Miles by the Proclaimers super loud and I was kind of like dang man it feels like I'm right in the heart of Tokyo... /s There are much, much, much better spots for ramen and for sushi, there is literally an actual Japanese restaurant right across the street from Kopan and I'd bet money you'd get way better food for more or less the same price there. Also Burger Bun is in the same plaza, place is also fire, I'll drop that review separately. TL;DR: food bad, expensive, fish off, service good, decent parking, convenient location

Fortunately, my husband and I walked in around 9pm and there were plenty of open tables, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick, welcoming, and friendly. Between the two of us, we shared a Baked Salmon Roll, Mango Special Roll, Rainbow Battera, and Salmon & Ikura Donburi. Everything tasted delicious. The baked salmon roll was very creamy and savory, whereas the mango special roll was sweet and indulgent. As for the rainbow battera, the flavors of each fish really stood out in every bite. With the donburi, the salmon tasted clean and fresh, making it a good contrast to the salty ikura. The seasoned sushi rice and seaweed salad created the perfect balance to the bowl. This is the place to go for high-quality Japanese food with a broad menu that caters to everyone. The menu has plenty of traditional sushi options as well as more inventive ones. As soon as you walk in, you get that cozy Japanese vibe -- it's the kind of place where you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. The menu is huge. They have sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and so much more. I wanted to try everything, so I had major decision paralysis. The Tokyo Sashimi comes with 24 pieces of sashimi, served on individual little plates. It included big pieces of uni and salmon belly. The uni wasn't fishy at all -- it was sweet and creamy. We also ordered two Fatty Specials. Each one comes with three kinds of fish belly: toro, salmon, and yellowtail. The fat just melts in your mouth. With a little soy sauce and wasabi, and rice at the perfect temperature, it was delicious. The Alaskan roll was also a hit -- crab meat and avocado rolled together. I couldn't stop eating it. For drinks, we got two cocktails: - Coconut Sake Colada: tropical and creamy, with pineapple's sweet-tart flavor, coconut, and the rice notes from the sake. - Soju Sunset: lighter and more refreshing, like a cool-down for your palate. It also looked great in photos. Pro tip: they have some solid deals: 1. Monday-Thursday: buy one beer, get a second for $1. 2. Special rolls: buy one, get one 50% off. 3. Online orders: 10% off.
