At the fuel dock, Jackson and Jill went above and beyond--helping with pump-out, rinse-out, and even offering to take our trash. Fuel prices were very reasonable too. The marina office staff were fantastic to deal with. We were a bit uncertain about our timing and length of stay, but they were flexible and accommodating the whole way through. When we pulled into our slip, our neighbors came right out to lend a hand with docking, which gave the whole place a welcoming, community feel. The facilities are clean and well-kept, with a laundry room (two washers and two dryers at just $1 each!), a beautiful pool area, and a casual snack bar that's perfect for breakfast or lunch. The covered slips feel secure, and the location is excellent--right next to the Alton Amphitheater, where there were live events going on during our visit. Another big plus is convenience: Enterprise picked us up right at the marina for a rental car, which made exploring the area simple. All in all, Seahorse Marina is a gem on the river. We ran into a major roadblock and they helped us through it, and we parked our boat overnight in one of their fancy covered slips too. Thanks for the help guys!!

Open between March and October, the man who owns the place lives actually on site at the harbor. He will collect your money and there is free parking available on site as well. I don't recommend trying to sit/stand under the shade where he is or else he will jump your ass for it. I won't make that mistake again of asking... who cares if it is 99 degrees outside, right? ... There are a couple of patio tables and chair you can sit at, but it is open to the sun right beside the main building. - Refreshments are for sale such as simple things like chips and bottled water. - Easy access ramp and fully concreted. No gravel accept for the road driving up to it. Happy jet skiing, everyone!

We delivered the boat to the marina on May 17th and were told the boat might be ready for the Memorial Day weekend. We continued to call and check the repairs and schedule a pick-up date. Bruce Dudley made numerous excuses and lie on the status of the repairs. We had enough of the delays and picked the boat up on July 19th. The boat was never moved, and no work was completed. He had the boat for nine weeks.

Also- "full-body massage Ladies free Men $25000 (paid cash in advance)" I was highly disappointed they were out of the $1 chocolate coated bacon :.-( What they did have was $9 TJs pizzas and crock pots of $2.50 precooked hamburgers, brats & hot dogs... We got brave & got the hamburgers.. Bartender gave us the bag of buns & American cheese... My friend asked where the restroom (for washing his hands) was & the bartender said "outside" then to the two guys at "we have never had running water" We said "F it" & wolfed down the burgers and did not get sick (we both have caste iron stomachs... usually) The place has true "river rat" character & characters. (River Rat- people that enjoy living and/or playing on rivers and are proud of the simple life) I would bring my own food & hand sanitizer (like the regulars). Beer, sodas, prepackaged snacks & a place to watch some of the ballgame while taking a break from the river says 2 stars for me. They did have signs to advertise some bands. Side note- they do rent dock space for boating minutes from StL. I believe this was just a "private club" we were welcomed to visit.

I am currently looking at a boat at the marina and have no hesitation in recommending their marine service and their work ethic. I only wish that they had tied in their used boat sale business by link or otherwise with the marina web site. They have (or had) a 38 ft Chris Craft tri cabin for sale as well as the old Nautaline houseboat I am looking at and am having a hard time finding the listing for it.
