We previously owned a 2009, 19' pontoon boat that required service. I contacted the service desk to see what the repairs would cost approximately and was treated extremely well...even though the repairs would be around $500 and it was an old 'beater' that I was bringing them. One of the owners was the person I was speaking with. We were very impressed at how pleasant everyone there was throughout the repair process that we thought we would give them a quick look for a new tritoon we were considering. There was a boat show in the area the day we scheduled our appointment with Todd (we had to do our due diligence, as this was new territory to us). Todd was very personable and professional, making us feel at home. They had a nice selection of new pontoons inside their facility, which was nice since it was raining that day. We were able to strike a deal with Todd and decided to keep the business local. We were told the boat would take 8-10 weeks to come in, since it was a new build with the options we wanted. I got a call from Todd about 5 weeks later saying it was in! The problem was that our boat lift wasn't ready for the new configuration, and the lift company couldn't get out for another 1-2 weeks. Todd and the good folks over at Lewis agreed to keep the boat on their lot until it was ready, which helped us out considerably with coordination efforts (at no charge, by the way). In short, I would highly recommend this company. They won us over with the service department initially, but ended up impressing us even more with their sales staff and process. We will definitely look to these guys if/when my wife gives me the green light for that bass boat ; ) read more

I have taken my boat there 2 times and had good service and did not have any issues. When i call with questions they always show concern and answer my questions promptly and appropriately. I think they are the best around for mechanical work and will take care of you. However if you own a boat realize that boats are not as cheap to own due to maintenance and it is best to get as much knowledge about their operation as possible in order to avoid costly repairs. read more

I called Lewis to get a price quote on several Mercury outboards I was considering for repowering my boat. When I spoke with a salesman, he was seemingly not very interested, and was unable to answer even basic questions about these outboards. I had more information about these motors than he did. He did not have prices available and promised that he would look them up and call me back later that same day. Needless to say, I never heard back from him. Hard to believe that Lewis is not interested in selling a $12,000 outboard but I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I purchased a beautiful new boat from Lewis boats on April 28th. I should have canceled the deal when I drove by the dealership and found the salesman giving another potential buyer a tour of the boat that I had already signed a sales agreement to and left a reasonable deposit on. This now seems as a first sign of poor business practices and I should have reconsidered my purchase. Three weeks later, after have only put my boat on the water once, I noticed that the boat cover was torn around the Velcro areas covering the Bimini connections on the port side. So I contacted Lewis Boats and spoke to Melissa, she said that she would contact the manufacture to see if they would cover it under warranty. After several weeks, sending emails, pictures etc, and no call back, I discovered why the cover was torn. It became obvious that the bolts holding the Bimini to the frame rail where loose and caused damage to the frame rail and the cover. So once again I called, she said she would contact the manufacture to see if they would cover it. I then explain to her that it is obvious that it is not the fault of the manufacturer, it is the fault of the dealership for not properly tightening the Bimini top bolts during installation and lack of a thorough pre delivery inspection So I waited a couple of weeks and called back, her excuse this time was that the manufacture was closed down for the week of 4th of July. So I wait two and a half weeks and once again no call back from the dealership. Today I call Lewis Boats and they inform me that the manufacture will not cover the repairs that it appears to have been hit causing the damage and that it appears that I hauled the boat with the cover on. neither of which is the case. I informed her that I have never hit anything on that side or hauled my boat with the cover on. the response was "well that is the manufactures decision". Again this is not fault of the manufacturer but should be the responsibility of the dealership but they seem as if they could care less about customer service once they have your money. I now wish I would have purchased elsewhere. read more
