Our tour guide was Avery and he was fantastic! From the middle that we stepped out to take a picture in front of the cave until we exited through the gift shop. It was a great experience. We walked through places in the cave that were noted in the adventures of Tom Sawyer, and through the cave history, including the thousands of signatures in the cave. We also participated in 15 through a pay dirt bag. This space is grade for all ages, and they have ample souvenirs. In the gift shop. We even visited the winery across the street. We look forward to potentially camping there in the future.

From the moment we stepped inside, our guide Ella was gneiss as can be, sharing tons of history without taking it for granite. The winding passages are truly stalagmite-ic (okay, maybe just stunning!), and exploring the very place that inspired Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn totally rocked our world. It's a cave-in-your-plans kind of attraction--don't skip the gift shop either, it's a gem. We had a sedimentary sort of day just soaking it all in, but honestly, it was ore-inspiring from start to finish. Five out of five stars, we will never chalk this up to a bad experience! I do recommend pants and closed toe shoes if you are on the colder side.

It's loud, campers/RVs and loud trucks coming and going all day everyday. And the campers sites are right on the road maybe 3-4 feet off the road. This is a glorified parking lot for people that want to go do stuff all day and come back and sleep for a night and take off again. If you're looking for a place to park for the night this is it, if you want to camp and enjoy nature it's not.

I can tell you, now, after staying here through October 15th (7 mos), I couldn't have found a better spot for my needs. I have been working on a project in Audrain County, about 30 miles from here, straight down US Hwy 54. There may not be many choices for eating out, but that suited me just fine. The Country Market is just down the street and Walmart is only about 12 miles away in Bowling Green. The park doesn't tout any fancy amenities other than the #1 reason I came, and that is a fantastic WiFi connection that has had only a few glitches. The hook-ups are clean and in essentially brand new shape (because they are), and the Owners are readily available if needed. Another huge extra for this location, if you'll be here a while, is an incredible YMCA with a 25yd pool. It was a true God-send for me. I know this is a little lengthy, but I really can't say enough to express my satisfaction with the facilities, owners and the surrounding "small burg" area. Give Diane a call and tell her Bear sent you. You won't be sorry.

I would give zero stars. well its a motel. but there are holes in the bed linens and blanets. a…read morehole in the blinds. the rooms are not kept with AC on at all with a window unit in the middle of the summer it was so hot. we did not end up spending the night here. thank god! rooms are way overpriced as well. we were desperate for 1 night. and ended up leaving. I left with bites on me. Bed bugs?! I dont know for sure. but I had bites on my legs! It was a horrible experience. I do think the owners were very nice and helpful. but this place is scary and gross I would not reccomend at all.
