    Duck and wild rice

A fun supper club vibe with a beautiful lake view. The servers were so friendly and nice. The food was great and they gave you so much to eat! We got salad, roll, mini muffin and starch with our entree. The duck was incredible and the skin tasted so good. The ribs were good and fall off the bone.

Our family visited here for the first time last night. We had a drink at the cozy bar while we waited for our table to be ready. Once seated, we were greeted with ice water and a basket of bread sticks and crackers, with butter. We all ordered the 2 piece haddock fish fry. It was served with little cups of baked beans, pasta salad, and Cole slaw, which were served first. The fish was lightly battered and fresh & flaky, and the fries were piping hot. The portion size was generous, and we took home fries. Service was friendly & attentive. Highly recommend you check it out. Reservations are highly recommended, a week in advance.

    Black cherry old fashion must

What a gem! Locals and tourists. Traveling for work, never been to a supper club. Walleye is ridiculous!!! Black cherry whiskey old fashion must have! They make their own mix and you can purchase. Quaint spot on the lake, bartender, server and hostess all welcoming. Smaller space, can't order food from bar- keeps the dinning experience cozy and had a drink at bar prior to table opening up.... Will be back for sure.

    Coconut Shrimp

Nice clean place, great service, very good old fashioned drinks, steak was done perfectly, coconut shrimp was perfect with just the right amount of crunch. All 3 of us loved it. Make Reservations!

It was pretty good, but disappointed that it wasn't a true beef wellington. My fiance ordered the 'crab stuffed haddock'. It was fishy tasting and we believe it was tilapia since it was so thin and didn't taste like haddock at all. My fiance told the owner that his fish tasted fishy, he asked bluntly if he wanted anything else. No apology. My fiance then ordered the cornish hen. Our waitress brought back a half cooked cornish hen (no wild rice or vegies that was described on the menu) and kinda plopped it on the table. We felt they weren't happy that we didn't approve of their crappy fish. We didn't appreciate their attitude at all! The positive: their bartender was nice and made a good old fashioned.

There is an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a kids play area, a beach, and many trails. We stayed in the lodge. The room was large. We were picking up my son from camp and I though we would have to share a room, but it was large enough that we ran out and bought a cheap air mattress so he could have his own bed. There are cabins on the property, a supper club, and a coffee bar, but we did not try any of those. The resort was quite busy. There were groups of all ages. While our room was large, the bathroom was very dated and in need of a renovation. There was a binder highlighting aspects of the lodge, but some of the pages had mold growing on them. I thought there was daily room cleaning, but our room was never touched. Perhaps I missed something. Definitely a place to check out if you are looking for lodging in the area.

While not as chic as a fine dining establishment in a metropolitan area like Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago or New York, it's as classy as it gets north of highway eight. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening - they could have accommodated us as walk-ins (and walk-ins are welcome) but I'd err on calling for a reservation and securing a table, especially on a popular day of the week. With a reservation we were promptly seated and waited on. I started with a dry martini and my wife picked a wine from a pretty decent wine list. It was a great martini--see my photos. Many of the items on the menu are what one would expect, but there were a few that piqued my interest, in particular the schnitzel. As a frequent visitor to the Austrian Tirol and Bavaria, I had to give it a try. My wife opted for salmon. The entrees included soup or salad. I went with lobster bisque and my wife went with chicken noodle soup. The bisque was rich and flavorful. Though the bread stick was out of a box as opposed to baked in house, it was an acceptable accompaniment to the soup. As for the entree, the schnitzel was prepared the way I like it--pan fried and not deep fried. With a properly breaded, seasoned and crispy crust, the pork itself was perfectly cooked. I could eat a schnitzel like this every day! The Spätzle was fine and the sauce tasted good but it was a little thin. The red cabbage was definitely sour but lacked the sweetness necessary to balance the acid. I'd suggest that the chef check out the red cabbage recipe from Alinea which has an excellent balance of sweet and sour. And one more suggestion to mimic the schnitzel I've had in the Tirol and Bavaria, a dollop of sweet jelly to spread on the cutlet--preferably a white wine jelly fortified with herbs like rosemary. That said, the dish was great and I would order it again. I only took a bite of my wife's entree, but the hollandaise and salmon was good. She especially liked the kale. To end the evening we shared a dessert. My wife makes a DG tiramisu and we've had some great tiramisu's in Italy. This one was right up there, though the espresso soaked lady fingers were a bit weak. Nevertheless, as you can see from my photo, we demolished it. A nice grappa or Tirolian schnapps would have been the perfect finale but alas the bar was not that well stocked. All in all a decent dinner, a place I will return to in the future, and a great addition to the culinary scene in the region.
