It's one of our favorite places. Usually, we have seafood, a week ago I tried their ribeye steak and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. It's an old-fashioned bar which means usually you wait for your name to be called at the bar while you relax and have a generous drink. Last night (on fish fry night!) sorry, but I had the ribs! Probably the best ribs I've ever had and I'm 73 years young! Absolutely outstanding flavor, preparation, and tenderness! They just fell off the bone they were so tender! As always, the service was exemplary and the atmosphere Northwoods Supper Club fantastic! I've been to Wolffs many many times as we live less than a half mile from them, and I've never had anything but outstanding meals here over the years! We stayed on Upper Post lake and stopped in for a fish fry. We saw from past reviews that this place was small and to expect a wait. We had a party of 6 so we grabbed some Old Fashions and beers and waited about an hour. The bar was packed but the owner kept our drinks full. Once we were seated, we ordered some appetizers - fried green beans, cheese curds and onion rings. They came out within 5 minutes and we're very tasty. We all put our dinner orders in for the fish fry special which was 3 pieces of haddock, choice of potato, Cole slaw. The food came out within 10 minutes which was amazingly fast! The fish was nicely breaded and delicious! The 3 pieces were a huge portion! The service was outstanding and we were very pleased with our dinner and the wait was worth it. If you're ever out on Post Lake, be sure to stop in for an awesome dinner! read more

Our favorite supper club in the neighborhood! Never disappoints, especially on Friday fish fry night! we heard about this place from a local police officer in Tomahawk a good hours drive away. He raved about it. So we decided to take the drive and boy was it worth it not only is the place really nice and the staff very friendly, but the food is amazing. Of course, we hit Saturday night prime rib night, and we have never tasted anything so flavorful and tender in all of our travel if you're anywhere near there on Saturday or any other day and we are told that the Friday night fish fries are also to die for. read more

Service has definitely gone down. We have gone back several times since the last review. Attitude of bartender was like we were bothering him. They don't take reservations which we knew about. However we put our name in and we're not sat at the empty tables. Patrons came in after us were sat before us. This happened twice. Received a cold shoulder when brought to the attention of the bartender and the hostess. Haven't been back now for quite a few months and have discouraged others from going. They must think they no longer have to try as they're the only place in town. I'll drive elsewhere. read more

Woah!!!!! What a surprise!!! A small little bar restaurant that is very unassuming and then you eat dinner. I mean, it's like nearly big city style dinner at what I believe is totally an affordable price! The haddock was flaky and cooked to perfection. The crab shrimp was unreal. Absolutely some of the most HORRIBLE service I ever had. My fiancé is a chef so we frequent at many, many restaurants. Bartender had a major chip on his shoulder, service was slow, when I was ordering he just walked away to take a drink order from a local or a friend. I'm very good friends with one of the business owners in this area and was referred here, however it could be the best steak in the world and I would have walked out. Talk about lack of respect and extremely rude service. Atmosphere is stuffy as well. All around a horrible experience. read more

I have been coming to Wolff's for years. It was always a treat when we went up north for steak. The past 2 times (in the Spring, then in September) the steak (ordered same Large Filet each time) has been over cooked (Medium has PINK inside, not cooked all the way through), the server non-existent (Seriously, it is a small place, she could drop by, we would have had more drinks, that is for sure, but her tip). I know that they are trying to sell the place and it appears they just gave up trying. They were so good for so long. They get 1 more try, and then I will never return, until I hear they sell or get someone that can cook. It is a real shame when such a great place goes down hill so fast. read more

Called ahead to be sure they could accommodate our party of 9, no problem. We got there much quicker than expected and our table was already set and ready. The place wasn't crowded on a stormy Wednesday night but that's understandable. Atmosphere was relaxed, a classic supper club. Erica, our waitress, was very attentive even though she was handling all of the other tables. Every order was correct even though we had 6 squirrelly teenagers in our group. The food was all delicious. Cheese curds, onion soup and burgers were all great. Steaks were cooked perfectly, very tender and delicious. Seafood was very good too. We'll be back for sure. read more

We were hoping to enjoy this supper club based on the reviews, but the food was disappointing. Worst was the perch dinner; the perch was fishy tasting and I could not even finish it. Hamburgers weren't bad but were very messy to eat. There is no child's menu and thus you need to pay for a much larger meal than a small child can eat. Finally, the prices for most items on the menu seemed high (although not for the burgers). On the positive side, the fried green beans were delicious and the french fries were good. Steaks looks like they might have been good. Perhaps Wednesday is not the best day of the week to eat here. read more

This is our favorite place to eat when we head 'up north'. We have only been there on Saturdays and ordered steaks. The process of ordering at the bar and being seated when your meal is ready can make it feel rushed but I'm sure works well for the small seating area. I Love This Place!! We come here every Saturday when we are Up North. They have one of the best Rib-eyes (Med Rare) around and their oven browns are Delicious. The old fashions are generously poured and quite tasty. The bartender always has a pretty dry sense of humor and the waitstaff is very friendly. The place isn't very big so expect a 20-60 minute wait before you sit down. It is supper club seating so you order your meal at the bar. Good Stop in the North woods!! read more

Best filet mignon on the planet! Fantastic Friday night fish fry. I also love the walleye. Saturday night prime rib special. Sunday night breaded tenderloins with hollandaise could be my favorite.
