Was in ER ...for both leg and lung issues...told treating only leg...so x-rays...then a guy stand there saying hey hey...your oxygen is at 70 % ...then I pass out again and he says hey hey...same thing...but instead of giving me oxygen he says you probably should get a CPAP...and then goes away... meanwhile my face was severely bloated like I was allergic to something...and since the ambulance did not bring my rollator which I asked the to...they sent me home in an ambulance. I went to hospitality ER and was given appropriate care for leg face swelling and asthma/oxygen issues. read more

This past Friday March 27th I had surgery at LRMC. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing care. Even though I live in Texarkana, I felt Longview Regional would give me the best care and boy did they ever! From the super sweet and friendly receptionist at the same day surgery desk, to the nurse who called me back to do my vitals named Sherry, then I had nurses prep me, talk to me and explained everything every step of the way. Once I was in recovery I couldn't really see the nurse taking care of me but her name was Heather. She was so so sweet! She took excellent care of me. Then for my post surgery I met Traci and Amanda. These two ladies were everything to me! They made me feel comfortable, helped me when I had to use the bathroom, gave me something to drink and even wheeled me out to my husband and helped me get in the car. I really hope this reaches them and their supervisor. These ladies were the absolute best! I can't forget the doctor that made all of this happen Dr. Newlin. Christus St Michael in Texarkana misdiagnosed me TWICE it took Dr. Newlin one time to see me, perform a biopsy and then surgery. He is a gem! I wouldn't trust this hospital with my dog. They gaslight patients and blatantly ignore their allergies. They tried to give me 4 medications that are on my allergy list. I have been treated horribly by the doctors almost every single time I go. There are only two doctors that I've seen that actually want to help me. The emergency room is usually always filled and they never want to put me in a room regardless of the fact that they may be empty. Hands down worst hospital experience ever. My son had chicken and bones stuck in his esophagus. Took him to regional ER. He was gagging and spitting up blood. We came in about 9:30PM. The GI doctor said it could wait until the morning. We sat there until they picked him up for the OR at 7:00 AM. He was gagging, chocking still spitting up blood and in pain for 10 hours! This could have turned out so badly, and yet NP and nurses all seemed to find this acceptable. Never again! read more

I have been a patient of Dr McClure since 1996. I have been blown up multiple surgeries. I trusted Mr McClure with my life for a long time. I have been diagnosed with long term chronic pain insomnia PTSD Cancer among many other medical problems. I have Been on strong medication for around 20 years he has recently cancelled me as a patient. I guess I am too much of a liability for him. No response to why he has chose to let me Die in such a painful manner. I can't get help. I am truly at a loss for words. It's a very difficult situation to trust your doctor. I recently discovered my 53-year-old nephew, who lives with my husband and me, unconscious. After calling 911, he was taken to Regional Medical Center, in Longview, to the ER. Since I am an old retired RN, I was allowed to stay with my nephew most of the time while he was being treated. CT scan found that he a devastating brain hemorrhage. After some hours, he was placed on life support and transported to a Dallas hospital. His case was hopeless and he expired the next day. I cannot say enough good things about Regional. Everyone, in the ER department, was excellent. My nephew received the best care that could be had by caring, professional people who kept me informed constantly. This review is for the pre-op portion of Regional only. The Delta variant of CoVid is rising by the day, and my 90+year old mother had to have a heart procedure. Our pre op appointment was for 11:30am. We arrived to a waiting room FULL of people, including a young mother with two small children, no masks. NO social distancing. In a HOSPITAL. Seating in this HOSPITAL included a broken down couch with a spring sticking through and a chair with a 5 inch rip on the seat. I couldn't see any of the others, as there was someone seated in all of them. More people were coming in and spilling over out into the foyer. After the first hour, the chair next to me became vacant and a loud obnoxious woman with a persistent cough sat down..coughing. NO MASK. I asked if she would like a mask, as there was a container on the counter in sight. She refused, saying she didn't need one, she had been tested for CoVid and didn't have it. She continued to cough and complain loudly about the wait. When I mentioned her lack of mask to an employee, I was told that they can ask them to wear one but can't make them. If I get sick, I will for sure know where I got it, and all the other immuno- compromised people in that over-crowded unprotected HOSPITAL pre-op waiting room. Shame on you REGIONAL. read more

I've tried to get my Mother an appointment for weeks. They misplaced the referral more than once and I left countless messages with the appointment coordinators to try to get an appointment scheduled. I couldn't get a call back. I practically begged the front line (she was very nice) to just put me on hold and go get someone for me to actually TALK to. My son went to their ER yesterday to have a cyst removed from his neck that had been there for a year. It had gotten to the point where he couldn't turn his head well and couldn't sleep at night. He saw Dr. Harold Taylor and was treated horribly. The man was rude and unwilling to listen to what my son was telling him. The doctor told him to take antibiotics (had already been on them a week) and there was nothing else he would do for him. read more

This is the worse hospital ever. My husband was in the covid section of the hospital where they would not feed him nor would they give him water. The doctors weren't available to discuss any treatment. They gave my husband a drug they knew would kill him, filled his lungs with water then operated to remove the water so they said. He died the next day after his surgery. The doctor wasn't very nice, I am hoping this hospital and the employees in charge of covid patients do prison time. read more

I would never take my family members here. THE ER doctor, almost killed my spouse. He was taken via, EMS to this hospital, with a BP reading of 217/120. They didnt do stroke or HBP protocal. They instead put him on a bed in hallway, no bp monitoring..did do correct testing, said he had a migraine(hes never had a migraine) sent him home still with BP high, very out of it, I had to take him back to another er the next afternoon, only to find out he had been suffering from a stroke of the brainstem. Swelling on brain and was in Tyler hospital ICU for week, fighting for his life.. I advise you if you care about your loved ones never take them here. A few family nember have also had horrible sistuations as well. Because they didn't do the job they shouldve my husband has missed 2 months and counting of work.. lots of rehab afterwards.. amd I am stuck with bills from A ER that almost killed my spouse!!! read more

Very small room divided into 7 individuals "stalls" separated only by curtains. Each "stall" had 2 uncomfortable chairs which we sat in for 4 hours with a screaming baby. Felt terrible for the other patients who were inches away from us. Seems they could have moved us away from everyone else. The mid level we saw was nice, but can't say the same for the nurse. read more

If your life is in real danger, DO NOT EVER go here!!!!! I have had grad mail seizures since I was an infant. I was seizure free for 15 years... until a few nights ago. I ended up at Regional--(not by my choice due to other awful experiences (death)here with others I know) Please keep in mind I was still not able to move my arms/legs or body when I arrived... the "NURSE" told me to get out of my sisters TRUCK(this truck should be a mans with the lift-fyi)...... the nurse would not get me an attendant, we had to get the security guard to carry me out of truck to put me in a wheel chair.... I then tell them I cannot breath well- they ignore this... I said over and over I want Good Shepard, the one nurse told me to leave, (remember I still cannot walk...)--- This was the worst experience not being able to move and feeling helpless- and in front of 5-7 nurses that do not know what they are doing and have no compassion- I hate we all have to get old and depend on DRs and Nurse's--- read more

I took my husband to the ER tonight due to arm swelling from where he had an iv removed literally 6 hrs earlier from having brain surgery. Once they found out who the attending Dr was they(apparently the Dr is having a issue of some kind with the hospital) pretty much said there wasnt anything to do. Just put warm compress on it. Well I then called the original hospital after we left, which was 3hrs away. Cause we would have went back there. And they said yes you need to have a ultrasound done and they can give you something for the swelling. So apparently your ER Drs can only help someone who is being seen by a Dr the hospital isnt having issue with. The Er Dr didnt even spend 3 minutes in the room with us. For crying out loud he had brain surgery and you couldnt be bothered to help with fear of something being wrong. He made the comment that he could call the attending Dr personally yet he didnt. Never will I willing step foot in your hospital again. If this app let me put zero stars thats what you would get!!!!! read more

I took my husband to the ER. He had a bad kidney stone. The pain was so bad he passed out in the waiting room. But the doctor and nurses really didn't care at all. It took over an hour before they gave him anything for pain, and it was the wrong medication for kidney stone pain (my husband has had several stones over the years.) The doctor couldn't tell the difference between a heart condition and a kidney stone (he ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests, which, of course, we get billed for!) When the test results came back confirming my husband really did have a kidney stone, I asked the doctor to please give him a shot of the one pain med that works for kidney stone pain. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "it's small enough for him to pass it." This arrogant man has clearly never had any serious pain. And certainly doesn't understand that kidney stones can take DAYS to pass, and you're in pain the whole time! From now on, we will go to one of the freestanding ER's in Longview, where you are treated by knowledgeable doctors and compassionate nurses. read more

I went to the ER on a rather busy night, however I was still expecting SLIGHTLY good service, and I didn't get it. The nurse was rough when he took my blood, it left me really sore, they never gave me my much needed IV. They were so unorganized and all over the place that they thought they did (2 nurses and 1 doctor all thought I had an IV.. lol) they gave me a crappy perscription that didn't even cure me just to get me out of there. The service was horrible, it was rushed and all over the place. They need to pay more attention, it's not a restaurant, it's a damn emergency room. Come on. These are people's lives you're dealing with and the staff is not professional. I'm surprised their patients survive lol. read more
