My sister and I did a lot of research prior to picking a spa to get facials. This place had good reviews so we booked 2 facials. Our appointment was 5-10 minutes late. There was no quiet pre-room lounge area. We were in a small waiting room next to the manicure station and pedicure station. We were offered snacks and water. Snacks consisted of Cheetos, pretzels and other variety of chips. It reminded me of snacks to pack in a kids lunch. While in the waiting area (small love seats) we noticed the wear and tear of pedicure stations, patched with several layers of duct tape. In the facial room I had a brief consultation with the staff. I had a hard time even finding the chair in the small room as it was so dark and the chair was black. I'm 35...I'm not usually so sensitive to darkness. During the appointment, staff took time to fill out a generic card to give to me at the end of the appointment that showed problem areas and recommendations of cleansing scheduling etc. this could have been done after my appointment while I was getting redressed since my appointment was already late and the session ended early as well. Overall for the price of the day, the salon, vibe and quality service didn't match up. It seemed more like a mid-quality salon than an upscale place they are marketing. It's a very small space, so any extra people make it very crowded. I would not recommend a party more than 2. read more

I had a great massage with Delayne today. Booking was very easy online, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they had openings even the next day. I also appreciated that Delayne was ready for me, even though I was about 10 minutes early, and she really tailored the massage to exactly what I needed after cranking my shoulder a week ago. We booked a spa party package at Lontis Spa in Minneapolis. The process of getting things reserved and making sure there would be an esthetician for everyone to get the services they wanted was time-consuming, but the experience did prove to be relaxing. While there we received treatments from SJ who made sure to ask questions and see what we were looking for from the service and overall experience. For me, the most relaxing part of the facial came from the shoulder, arm, and hand massage. Tamesha did a great job on the other two facials. She was a little talkative which some people love and others may not, but she did great at explaining what she was doing and providing suggestions. The guests were happy she was able to remove their stubborn blackheads. Ashley was one of the people who completed a foot massage. She did a decent job, but when more pressure was asked to be used it was not applied. The overall massage was somewhat relaxing but was too light and did not achieve the desired effect. Lindsay and Phet completed the other foot massages and both did an amazing job. The biggest issue with the foot massages is that they were not in rooms. They were across from the waiting room and other guests were getting pedicures in the same area. The area was too open and loud to be fully relaxed. Amanda completed a body massage and her hands were exactly what was needed. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and had her guest ready for bed. All the guests from the spa party received a gift bag which was a bonus to the services. Overall the experience was nice. Then i was called the day before my appointment and was asked to pay for my appointment before ever going in. I asked why i was expected to pay for my appointment before being seen and I was told it's better for their staff? Very sketchy stuff canceled my appointment. We were there on time, but we had to wait more than 15 minutes to get into our room, however the massage stopped right at the 90 minute mark from the reservation, not the start of the massage (and of course got charged for a 90 minute massage). At the end they were showing us our way out to accommodate the next people. My masseuse also had sharp nails and would occasionally dig them into my skin, I woke up with bruises on my legs. I said I wanted extra pressure on my back and shoulders and instead of kneading she squeezed them which I have never had done before and I woke up more sore the next day. I was super concerned because I didn't make this decision until a few days prior to when I wanted to do a package experience. They had availability!! Communication was done through email and everything that I requested was booked and completed in the time frame! Jason did my full body and foot messages and it was perfect!! Just the right amount of pressure and was always checking to make sure I was comfortable!! I had never had a body wrap done and Erica was great at asking and explaining the whole situation before starting! The conversation flowed during that process! Nicole did my facial and was so gentle! I called in for a hair appointment and got in the same day with the owner of the salon. For only $55 I got a shampoo and cut. She cut about 5 inches off and added lots of layers in my hair! This review is specifically for nails. For an establishment that is great in every other way they need to train their nail technicians better. The young girl that works there is very sweet, but does not know how to do a gel manicure. This is the 2nd time I went to her as I figured the first time could of been an off day. In the end she gave me 10% off which was very nice, but honestly I shouldn't of paid for this. There wasn't water to put my hands in, the shaping of the nails was minimal and wasn't done well, and she applied multiple layers of polish when she messed up causing it to crease and pucker at the edges. She tried to clean up her mistakes, but only made it worse. Again, she is very nice but this is not a $40 manicure. This is a manicure I would do myself at home. read more

Overall a mediocre experience. I got a prenatal massage and it was probably the worse professional massage I've had. It didn't seem like the masseuse knew what she was doing. A lot of rubbing up and down and all over without any focus on the muscles and working out tension in my body. I also didn't like the sugar scrub, which I didn't expect, and it was pretty uncomfortable. Then I had sugar on my back all day until I got home and showered. Don't be fooled by the website- I went with a couple girls and we picked the 'package A 'At $110 per person.' It ended up being $134/pp and I specially was conned into an extra service without knowing it- so beware- I was asked if I wanted oil for a deep tissue massage so I said yes thinking it was just included in my package. Nope. It wasn't. I was unknowingly upsold on the package I was told would be $110- which actually wasn't- bc we booked on a Sunday added a fee of $20 to each person. Plus my 'deep tissue' treatment which was nothing more than a eucalyptus oil at $150. Anyway nothing was what it should have been. It would have been no stars for the trickery but the massage and facial were actually ok. But I don't like being tricked when they know I was sold a package initially. read more

I received a manicure with shellac polish today. Typically I go to a nail spa back at home and I pay $55 for a shellac manicure and they even rub your neck and shoulders while your paraffin sets. I was visiting and Lantis was in my hotel so I knew by there webpage that their manicure was $75 dollars with shellac. I was in need so I sucked it up and went. Maybe since it was a "spa" the experience would be better (that was my thought process). The girl that did my manicure was very sweet and gave a great hand massage. The color I originally chose didn't have enough in the bottle to use. I noticed this was Also the case with the clear pre polish. My manicure was scheduled at 5 and I didn't get out till almost 7. The atmosphere was not relaxing. There was relaxing music in the background but from the moment I sat down there was an interview in progress at the front. I learned a lot during the 1.5 hour job interview but I wish I didn't have to listen to it. I don't understand the big spa upcharge when the manicure didn't feel extravagant. read more

My friend and I booked a girls weekend downtown and wanted to start the afternoon off with some manicures. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and very professional. We were offered some water and snacks while we waited for our technicians. Though we had planned to have our nails done at the same time, one of the technicians was held up by another client (which happens, no big deal) so I had to wait a bit, but it was we were still finished at relatively the same time. I wish I could remember the name of the girl that did my nails but she was so knowledgeable about the polish line and the colors and the colors compared to other nail color lines. She did a fabulous job on my nails and the polish lasted over two weeks and still looked great. (this is with a gel manicure) I would definitely recommend this spot to other people and will be back when I want to spend an afternoon downtown. read more

The massage was great but the atmosphere was not. It was extremely noisy. I was offered headphones to help drown out the noise. It wasn't anyone's fault just poorly designed. The room for massage is basically just partitioned off from the salon so you heard every conversation and hair dryer. I felt bad for my therapist working in such a tiny space. He's a great conversationalist if you're the chatty type like myself but he's also considerate if you want some quiet me time. The spa is so welcoming! I've come here twice in the last two weeks. The first time, my girlfriends were coming to town and I wanted to do something special with them. I found Lontis online and saw they did small parties. So I called and booked pedicures and facials for three. When we got there, we felt instantly pampered when they had robes and slippers for us to change into. The pedicures were done by Lindsey and Jenessa. They both did amazing jobs. Our facials were done by Tamisha who did a wonderful job as well. The second time was for a hair cut. Lindsey told me previously she specialized in thin and thinning hair. I have very fine hair and struggle with finding the right style for it. The friendly receptionist scheduled me during my lunch break and gave me very detailed instructions on finding the spa in the skyway. I was treated like an MVP from the minute I walked in by the receptionist and by Lindsey, my wonderful manicurist.
