However you never actually speak to a recruiter. When you call to follow up you get nowhere. You cannot speak to a recruiter. The receptionist answers and fields calls telling you someone will call you back and she knows nothing about the process. I asked will someone definitely call me back and she said she cant guarantee anything. I dont understand how they operate. I have tried this agency twice with the same results both times. Never got a job , never spoke to a recruiter, never had any communication after registering. I have a decent skillset but with today's job market i wanted a bit of help finding work quickly. I am better off on my own rather with this place.

They told me the day i will start the time, my pay rate and hrs. I was told to bring my i.d my i.d for copies. After I brought my i.d. I found it strange I was told a lady has to come out and interview me. The lady asked me a few questions than she left and came back shortly after.she told me she will send my resume to the company I was originally hired for prior to me coming. She also told me she will give me a call if they contact her. I thought that was strange. Especially coming from a temp agency. This company is very bad

First off, I'm not going to down-play anybody's experience-with, or review-of this company. Your…read moreexperience, is your experience. But, these reviews had me feeling a little leery of dealing with Allied Personnel. The circumstances of how I came to work with them may be a little different, I admit. I was referred to them by a Recruiter and got a job right away. This may or may not be typical. I don't really know. I will say though, meeting Gabriel and Amparo was a very pleasant experience. Gabriel was very friendly and professional. She helped me with all of my paperwork, tests and made sure I had everything I needed to get started with my first assignment. She checked in with me ever so often to make sure I was comfortable because, like any staffing agency, the first day getting registered can take a few hours. Amparo, President of the company, was very engaging and easy to talk to. She gave me a lot of tips to improve my marketability. Her advice was straight-forward, and much needed. I feel so far, that I am in good hands. The assignment they gave me was short, but I feel that they will work hard to find me more work as my availability allows. I think some people go to staffing agencies looking for a miracle worker. You have to be realistic. It's not the agency's fault that you're out of work. And half the time your resume sucks and you don't even know it. You may have the skills, but you're a terrible interview. There could be a number of reasons why you can't find a job and I don't think its fair to lay the blame solely on the doorstep of the staffing agency. And this is coming from someone who hasn't had a lot of luck finding employment himself. My advice, go talk to them at least. See what they can do. They are really nice people. Like I said, other people have had other experiences, this is mine.

Then a few weeks later a representative named Chris notified me and said there was a great position available and I couldn't pass it up. Well, I was sent to a company that didn't come close in matching my resume, a revolving door of employees, yelling and a very very unprofessional company to work for. I trusted Chris what I thought it was an upgrade in my job situation and was I disappointed. Now I can't get my old job back and now I found myself searching for 3 weeks and counting, and looking back, I never should left my old position without checking on where the Allied representative was sending me. If you do go to Allied, always check where they are going to send you, don't be disappointed like I was!
