During my first visit, the shop had a sale that extended to the sidewalk. I stopped in after hearing about this shop's sidewalk sale on IG. Layout: The first floor of the shop is mostly dedicated to men's and women's clothing and home decor (lamps, statues, and furnishings). The basement includes nostalgic items (such as trolls and Disney memorabilia), furniture, and clothes. Be sure to pause on the stairs leading to the basement to take mirror selfies and to shop for funky mirrors. The store is really an eclectic mix of unique pieces (such as African wood carvings), vintage accent pieces (such as funky yellow faux leather chair), and modern clothing (such as dresses from Ross). It's like a flea market meets discount store. Prices: Prices are absolutely all over the place from $20 for a wicker basket to $595 for a vintage chair. Most prices didn't make sense to me in terms of condition and price. Almost all items are clearly marked with the price. I didn't make any purchases after browsing the store for a while since everything seemed pricey or not necessarily matching my style/too outdated. I didn't see any deeply discounted items during the sale. Customer Service: Customer service was pretty friendly and employees social. Although I've noticed a shadow while browsing the store which was unpleasant. Parking: Parking is available at the back of the store, parking lot is shared with nearby businesses. There are also limited number of spots available in front of the store (usually busy on weekends). Events. Check out the store's Instagram for upcoming events such as sales and clothing swaps. This store is large, clean and well organized with a great staff and is always fun to shop at. Every week there are two discount colors, one is half price and the other is 75% off, which makes for some great deals. Prices overall are very reasonable and the selection is very good. The store is strongest for clothes and shoes, I have found many great and interesting suit jackets and dress shirts, including some colorful tux jackets. On my most recent visit I found a high-quality mesh motorcycle jacket for $10 and a really nice pair of Rockport shoes for $2.50 with the discount. The selection is always diverse with plenty of quality brands and items. You can usually find a decent amount of items that are the discount color even in the middle or end of the week. The store also has a nice selection of electronics, kitchenware, art, décor and bric a brac. I always seem to find some interesting items and spend quite a bit of time looking around. I have found plenty of items that I would not expect. The real jewel of the store is up front by the registers, they have glass cases with great jewelry and behind them shelves with higher end items that have been donated. If looking for some higher end items this is the place to check out. VOA Thrift is a great place to thrift, shop or just check out. In fact, I was planning to go to TJ Maxx. I detoured once I saw this store. I love North Olmsted location and was hoping for a similar shopping experience. STORE: The store has a lot of open space and sufficient room to roam. The front of the store has staging - cute women's fall outfits (like orange and corduroy skirts, and fall sweaters). There is also a table setup with Thanksgiving inspo. You'll also find clearance racks at the front of the store. The remaining space has clothing, accessories, sleepwear, books, home decor, and glass stand with jewelry. The store is well organized so that you can easily dig for treasure. If you're familiar with the North Olmsted store, expect for this one to be more modern. However, it has less space and inventory. Also, significantly less deals. INVENTORY: The inventory here is a mix of quality finds and things that lived in the attic for years. Some things are like new (like clutches and purses). Other things are really wrinkly and dated. The prices at this store are outrageous. The North Olmsted location has some finds for just few bucks which I can always justify purchasing. Here I found some surprising prices like an empty bourbon bottle for $5.99, clutch for $7.99, and other strange pricing. Simply put, you can go to competitors' stores around the area and procure new merchandise for less. The inventory is final sale - no refunds or returns. I will say that the book inventory here is well organized and pretty diverse. Lots of pretty good books for adults and children. You won't find best sellers but there are some recognizable titles. MY FINDS: I was interested in a few things. I was eyeing a brown purse but could not justify $9.99 for a used find with no brand name. I purchased a few things: two books, one scarf, and a beret. The scarf was Russian style and gorgeous. One of my items had a tag sale and I got a few bucks off my purchase which was nice. SERVICE: Service is not too friendly. I interacted with a few associates at this store and none were nice. The checkout associate observed me looking at scarves for a little too long indicating that probably there is some loss prevention issue at this store. I didn't appreciate that. PARKING: There is a spacious parking lot at the front of the store. At the time of this review there was construction and obstructions. If you go on weekends, there might be challenges associated with finding parking spots. The shopping area has a cluster of popular stores. I haven't yet decided whether I'd visit this store again. Probably more negative than affirmative. I wasn't satisfied with the value, quality of merchandise, and service. I might stop in the distant future to look for books.

Located on Richmond Road just South of Miles, Thriftique is easy to miss since it is a fairly nondescript building with a small sign, but it is worth your time to find. Inside you find a nice store stocked with high quality products. Thriftique is run by the National Council of Jewish Women so there is a bit of a Jewish flavor but they also generally get really good donations. The store what looks to be a good selection of women's clothing and a smaller selection of men's clothing. For the men's clothes it is a good place to find suits, shirts and shoes. Prices are a bit higher then many thrift stores, but you are getting what you pay for. On a recent visit they were having a closeout where some clothes were either $5 or $1, although it was a bit confusing over which items were in each price range. Thriftique has great decor pieces and miscellaneous. The mix is weighted towards good stuff and I really haven't seen any junk or items that are way overpriced. Where Thriftique really shines is that they have a large selection of excellent furniture. You will find a number of couches, chairs, tables and other large items. If you are looking for better items at discount prices Thriftique is well worth a stop, you may pay a bit more, but you do get value for what you pay. The money goes to a great cause. Essentially inside the first floor of one of the homes in Tremont (to give you an idea of the vibe), every surface is packed and curated somehow without looking cluttered and making you feel overwhelmed. Street parking is plentiful in the area. From older books to sets of glassware (that were stunning but I had no particular place for them at this point) to a little bit of everything in between. You can tell the owner put a lot of love and thought into the curation. The owner's mom was manning the desk when I was there and she was lovely. After the initial heartfelt hello I was left to browse in peace which is always my preference. I'm always here for a conversation but it's always easier to have at the end of my browsing whether I've bought anything in particular or not. Given the nature of the business I would assume there's quite a bit of turnover in the stock and I'm curious to come back and see what's new-to-me.
