It's located on Lookout Mountain, which has a ton of historic significance and we enjoyed learning more at the National Park. Rock City is across the street from the Inn and it was also interesting to stroll through. The Inn itself is quaint and cozy. The main building has a few guest rooms but most are in cottages dotted around the property. Ours was sweet and the bed comfy. Our only issue was the TV cable didn't work and wasn't repaired during our trip. The jetted tub also didn't have functioning hot water and it would've taken too long to fill using the shower, so it went unused. Both of these items would've been much welcomed following a very long travel day from the west coast. Overall very nice.

There was grease or oil stained all over my nightstand. There were crumbs/ debris all over the floor and bed frame. There were pubic hairs on the nightstand. Then I went into the bathroom and immediately noticed a curly and long black hair on the sink counter. Even though it was late, we wanted to sit in the lobby area and chill out. Surprisingly enough, it was much cleaner down there so we relaxed a little before heading to bed. We purchased some drinks from the market and watched television. The front desk person was super friendly, attentive, and nice. We also requested a late check out, which she was able to give us until noon. I wish I got her name because she went out of her way to check on us multiple times while watching tv, including offering us the remote. She was about 5'3", dirty blonde hair, late 40's/ early 50's, Caucasian. Unfortunately we did not make it to breakfast due to us sleeping until after breakfast hours. Shower time was not fun. When I was at the conditioning hair point, the shower floor was flooded. I had to turn off the water to wait for the water to slowly drain. It was a first since the shower had a long strip for a drain. Luckily housekeeping was not pounding on the door when I took a couple minutes longer than noon. The rooms definitely need some checking in on but the staff were nice.

They even allow pets!($75 fee) The rooms here make you feel like you moved into a studio apartment but in a good way. I didn't get any pictures as we just stayed for 6 hours. I wish they had more options for breakfast but they do have a nice option of food and drinks around the main desk. I recommend this hotel to anyone in the area! Very new and safe!

This cute bed and breakfast is up in the mountains where we were in the clouds in most mornings during our stay making breakfast time magical. And speaking of breakfast, every night you fill out a form indicating your choice of a sweet or savory meal. Arrive at your table hungry because the portions are fit for a king (huge!) and oh so tasty! (Dinner can also be ordered for an additional fee but again, king sized portions and so delicious! ) The Inn is located in Chatsworth, close to Fort Mountain and the cute town of Ellijay is on the other side of the mountain. There are so many outdoorsy places to visit near by, a long weekend is not nearly enough time to visit! We really enjoy our time visiting with Bill and Nicole and highly recommend a stay here!

The smell of fresh laundry is exactly what you want when you turn down the sheets at a new place-- so clean and cozy. I wasn't sure about our private bathroom being across the hall, but it was honestly great. Bathroom was very large & somehow also cozy [I think it was the warm heat coming out of the floorboard vents each time I stepped out of the shower lol]. Breakfast each morning was a 10/10! Bill is a boss in the kitchen. The homemade granola and lavender peach 2nd course were our two favorite things! If you plan to take it easy at the b&b one evening, go grab takeout brisket from Trinity in Dalton or truffle shiitake pizza from Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza and bring it back up the mountain. One of the best nights we had was eating pizza and playing giant Uno in the common room. [the giant Uno is in the basket to the left of the common room's fireplace!] Be sure to take a left when leaving the b&b so that you can see the INSANE views!! The road down the mountain to the left is SO beautiful! Things to Consider: -A more size inclusive option for the robe. My husband looked so cozy in his robe and I was disappointed that the size large was a bit too small for me. Having a few plus size robes on hand might be something to consider. Having a spot in the room's notebook that mentions larger robes are available upon request would help curvier guests feel that much more welcome & included :) -A way to text or send a message to Bill or Nicole when we have a quick question :) Thanks so much for having us Bill & Nicole! Calling a paying guest a liar instead of addressing a serious cleanliness issue says everything about how this place is run. Jen, take some accountability and fix your property instead of trying to cover it up. Everything in my original review is 100% accurate, and I have the evidence to prove it. And just so there's no confusion--my credit card company reviewed the documentation and issued a full refund following their investigation. That doesn't happen without solid proof. Stay here at your own risk. At first glance, Rock Spring Resort appears charming. Small touches, such as complimentary chocolate and a bottle of inexpensive wine, create an inviting first impression. Unfortunately, these details mask deeper and more serious issues with the property's condition and management. During my initial Airbnb stay, I encountered minor issues, including a few stink bugs and a leaky toilet in my 1st room. While minorly inconvenient, these were manageable. The situation worsened when the owner, Jen, facilitated an extension of my stay outside of the Airbnb platform, which is against Airbnb host guidelines and created exactly the type of complications those rules are designed to prevent. Due to weather-related circumstances, I was moved from my original room. Over the course of my stay, I stayed in three different rooms, revealing significant inconsistencies in the quality and cleanliness of the accommodations. The second room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and body odor. While uncomfortable, I attempted to remain patient. The situation reached its breaking point when I discovered bed bugs in the room I occupied mid-stay. After reporting this directly to the owner, I was relocated again. Upon closer inspection, every mattress I encountered was severely stained with what appeared to be urine and other bodily fluids, including the mattress in my primary room, which was also infested with bed bugs. The mattress in the room I was relocated to showed the same conditions. Following pest control confirmation of the bed bug infestation, I ended my stay. This resulted in losing an entire day of work, as I spent over five hours decontaminating my belongings before I could safely leave. The only resolution offered by the owner was a bag of quarters and free laundry detergent, which was entirely inadequate given the severity of the situation. It has now been over a week since I left Rock Spring Resort, and despite an attempt to follow up, I have not received a refund for what was clearly an uninhabitable stay. The confirmed bed bug infestation, combined with severely urine- and bodily-fluid-stained mattresses across multiple rooms, constitutes a direct violation of Airbnb rules and policies regarding cleanliness, safety, and habitability. Moreover, maintaining accommodations in this condition violates Georgia habitability standards and health requirements, which require lodging providers to maintain rooms free from infestation and in a sanitary, livable condition. While the property may appear appealing at first glance, my overall experience was entirely unacceptable. Based on the condition of the rooms and how the situation was handled, I cannot recommend staying at Rock Spring Resort. I have photographic and video evidence documenting these conditions should this review be contested.
