Or instead you can go to Northwestern where they tack on fees left and right and make you wait for weeks for your results and then multiple appointments later plus the stress of waiting and you've already likely paid the $390 anyway in co-pays and fees cause insurance is BS. I am now 65 and can't afford the $390 concierge fee and am looking for a new facility for my mamogram. I am disappointed that he is my third Northwestern Memorial doctor that has skipped down the road to become a concierge doctor. I have other specialists at University of Chicago Med, they never do this, only the NWM doctors go this route. I know he is the best and hires the best x-ray techs (never cause me pain). By reducing his patient population, I seriously hope he is able to help breast cancer patients that need constant imaging.

I had an appointment 1/17/17 at 10:30 am. I checked in at 10:35. The receptionist said that the appointment was at 10.15 and I was 30 minutes late. We went back and forth and I told her the voicemail said 10.30. She said there might be an 11 and another receptionist chimed in and said if she doesn't come between 10.45 and 11 you can have that appointment. I waited and went to the desk, it was 11.02 and someone walked in and checked in. I asked if I can still have the 11, she said that the appointment came and I can't. I asked why her previous statement did not apply and she remarked I didn't even have an appointment. Overall this was a very unnerving and unprofessional experience. If someone in their office makes an error they should own up to it instead of deflecting accountability. Hopefully Illinois Masonic will yield better experiences in the future.

I called shortly after my bday in August and was told I could get an appointment within 6 weeks here at Bucktown Radiology. So if you're planning to schedule one soon call at least a few months ahead of time. I cleared most of my afternoon for this, but the appointment itself was super fast. I was the only person there when I checked in and brought back immediately and shown to my locker so that I could change into my gown. Seconds after changing the technician came and got me. I made a comment that they were so on top of things and she said it's because it's an office run by women. So true, so true. :) Being a bit of a wuss I was a little nervous for the mammogram since many friends had told me how unpleasant it was. While prior to having kids I could see how this would have seemed simply awful. However, after giving to 3 little people my tolerance has come a long way...and while it wasn't pleasant it really was not big deal. My technician was also very sweet and informative, which helped make an uncomfortable experience as good as possible. I'm actually bummed I don't remember her name because I would ask for an appointment with her again next time- if possible to request. I was in and out in 15 minutes and wondering why I cleared my schedule. Overall it was a very positive experience and I'd go back there again.
