Lopez Brothers did efficient and quality work repairing three areas that needed drywall repair in my house. These areas each had completely different problems and required various kinds of skills. The Lopez crew took it all in stride and did quality work; you would never know there had ever been any problems with any of the repaired areas. We needed to replace the old 60's paneling in our home, along with some painting doors and walls. We got several quotes and Lopez was reasonable and we liked Luiz a lot when he came by. He asked a lot of questions and answered ours. He's very friendly and patient, and customer service focused on making us happy. This turned out to be a pretty big job and their crew worked really hard for several weeks. They were flexible - they added insulation and made a change to the work on our fire place wall, which wasn't a part of the quote. They were patient with me. They cleaned their mess when they were done, they sent me videos the whole time of progress, and they fixed things I needed at the walk thru. Incredible service from these two brothers! I inquired about a quote to patch up a good number of holes an scratches to prepare for a move out. The responded quickly, and were able to set up service the following day! They were polite and kind in person, took extra precautions to protect the furniture and flooring around the work area. I had two holes in my living room ceiling which needed to be repaired. Luis told me they had to float the entire ceiling which was fine. It took 5 days for them to do the work. After 2 applications of mud, and over 3 coats of paint, the ceiling had multiple rough spots and you could see uneven areas throughout the ceiling. I even called 2 neighbors over to see if they agreed with the poor quality of work and they both did. I am a widow, and depend on my neighbor for guidance when I have work done. I called Luis on it and said I was unhappy, he showed up same day, but had a very hard time admitting there was anything wrong. He finally agreed to make it right, and that I would be happy with the final work. He promised to be here at 8:00am on Weds. Well , he showed up at 0900, and when I called him on it, he said he never said he'd be here at 8:00. I remember distinctly asking him TWICE what time will you be here Weds, and he said "8:00" both times. He accused me of calling him a liar, and that he never forgets anything. Well he did forget, and I had to cancel an appt I had for 9:00am. He did not even offer an apology for my inconvenience or having to cancel my 9:00 appt. He just said " just let me do my work". If I had to do over again, I would not hire these guys. read more

1. Took forever to provide a quote. 2. Had to remind this guy three times to call me back (super professional) 3. After finally texting me back he gives me a quote of $2,600 to remove popcorn ceiling in one room. Other licensed contractor hovered around $1,200-$1,500. Lesson learned: shop around for quotes and avoid price gouging especially during a recession. If you Google popcorn ceiling you see fair market value rates per square feet in California. Wanted to share my experience to help others Update: I'll modify my review to three stars since giving a quote doesn't deserve a one star. They were by far one of the best companies I could have imagined working with. They repaired a hole in my ceiling from a leak and when they noticed it was still leaking they notified me immediately and didn't close the hole like some other companies have in the past for me. Luis and his team did a great job on my home project at a very reasonable price. They removed all my home's interior plaster walls/ceiling which were falling apart and replaced with drywall and painted. I was hesitant to go with Lopez Brothers Drywall because they did not have as much reviews as I would want to, to feel comfortable enough to come into my home. When I spoke to Luis over the phone he was able to answer all my questions in a professional way and instantly made the decision to hire them, and I was not disappointed! So here I am helping them out because these guys deserve to be acknowledge for the all the honest, professional hard work they provided me and my family. Luis (one of the brothers) handled the initial estimate and was able to answer all my questions as well as give some useful suggestions. Juan and Gustavo (the other brothers) and 2 more guys (forgot names) were very easy to deal with and they made sure I knew what was going on and was pleased with the way things were going at every step. The crew was very professional, experienced and paid great attention to details. The job included popcorn ceiling removal, demolition of hallway wall diving kitchen and living room ,framing wall to add extra door. repairing/patching holes in kids play room, applied texture finish to match the rest of the house (unnoticeable , like nothing ever happened) all prep work for painting (including fixing and repairing an unanticipated problem with the old paint job in the kitchen, and painting. Great care was taken each day to cover up and protect anything in the rooms that needed work. At the end of each day, the crew spent as much time as was needed to clean up and not leave a mess. Lopez Brothers Drywall not only answered my call when I called but gave a "guesstimate" that day based on pictures provided. They were quick to schedule me to come out to my property to confirm price. Based on the quality of work and no hassle customer service experience I received, it was well worth it. They communicated with me every step of the way. They arrived on time, provided work in a timely manner and was done with the job as promised. I had them remove all old drywall from my kitchen and living room area and replace with new drywall. (Old world texture) was done to match the rest of the original house.
