Initially, I was impressed with the Contractors response time and the quote he (Jose) provided. The project was to take off & reinstall four new faucets. I thought his initial price was fair ($150 for two faucets) $300 for four faucets was my understanding. A prior "licensed" Contractor charged $325, provided a warranty, a written quote & was extremely efficient. I'd RE-hire him a 100 times over. This Contractor took 1 1/2 hours for installation & completion but they were fully booked to redo the job. TJM handyman (Jose) took a minimum of five hours & without informing me prior, he upped the price an addition $100. It's not my fault he took longer than he probably anticipated. Additionally, one of the sinks in the MB does not hold the water. We are seniors and I fear calling him back! Buyers beware of scammers!. read more

Jose did some work for me last year and again this year. Very likable and seems knowledgeable in many fields. The first job was painting and it turned out beautiful. My one and only complaint was I have hardwood floors and although he is extremely careful he did not tape off or lay canvas or plastic down so a little clean up was required when I brought it to his attention. He was able to clean up the floor and the end result was very good work. He did some repair work on a crack in my stucco and you would never know that it had been there. Just came today and installed and swapped out some new lighting.Completed quickly and always will come back if there is a problem. Honest, personable, and efficient. Would hire him again and have! My only problem is that he should come with an estimate when he knows what is to be done. I like that as I keep receipts for home repairs and it eliminate questions. We are in the midst of moving into a house that has a lot of quirks and problems, so Jose was a blessing because of his good communication and attention to detail. He first installed a kitchen faucet, bathroom light fixture and shower head, and then came back to put in a spout and bathroom fan as well as some towel bars. While figuring out where a water line in the kitchen could be disconnected, he got a surprise spray in the face and quickly assessed the issue. He removed an R/O system that was doing no one any good, and in that discovered a dysfunctional and leaky pipe that needed attention. I was relieved to have that discovered before we moved in! The contractor with the lowest estimate bailed on me last minute saying he found a bigger job and told me I should just call a handyman b/c our work is so small. So I looked again and found Jose. He gave me a reasonable estimate and we scheduled work for when the supplies would arrive. The flooring order was delayed so I texted him and he rescheduled without fuss. We were on a time crunch and told him it needs to be done over Thanksgiving weekend. Even though he wanted to spend time with his family, he understood our situation and came over the weekend with his helper, worked through lunch and finished the job.
