We didn't need reservations, we were able to get helped and seated right away. The two hosts were helpful and friendly. They don't offer food, so you are able to bring your own. Pets were allowed, they even had a dog bowl available. Seating was all outside, some covered, some not, and heaters were available.

As soon as we arrived Chris ( one of the owners and wine maker) had an incredible spread of local cheeses and crackers laid out for us. He offered those who were not drinking a juice. He then started to go through the different wines. Provided us with what they do to make the wines and much more. Marti showed up who is the other owner and wine maker. She helped with the wine tasting, provided us an update on what they're doing and let me tell you they are above the curve on what they offer. No other wineries are doing the same thing. They've been incredible with the challenges that they may have faced but the wine is awesome. Then we sat around and we're able to talk like a large family and friends, try different wines and both Chris and Marti drank with us. Like I said they are unique and that's what makes this winery a great choice. You aren't going to get this same experience from the other wineries around. Love this place.. Before I forget we were blessed to have a sample tasting of the 2021 Sea Rows Blanc de Noir and let me tell you, get it while it lasts :)

This past time I was disappointed to learn that I wasn't able to enjoy a glass of wine. The lady mentioned that you can taste only, but she was willing to get me a small sample. I purchased a bottle of wine to go. However after speaking with Cole and understanding his other adventure it all made the most sense to me on the reasoning. If you're on the island, definitely check these guys out. They have other wines offered at the Doe Bay Wine Co, but stick to local and try the Orcas Project. What they are doing with all of the different wine makers helping make different wines for the Orcas Project is brilliant and provides everyone an opportunity to shine.

They brought us some small plates, including these mini deviled eggs that were delicious! They told us they wanted to start doing fun pairings with different countries and specialized foods based on the country!

Though we can tend to "force" ourselves to try them. Sadly, the wine flights my siblings ordered were so dry one sister couldn't even finish them. Now, the winery environment & staff? It was beautiful and they were friendly. Wide open space, a gorgeous seating area with a fireplace in one section.
