Sunnyside Construction went above and beyond our expectations. We have had Sunnyside come back to work on our house every 3 years as we work through our home-improvement wish list. Having found a great contractor in Sunnyside, we are going to be loyal to them for as long as we are homeowners. They show up on time and got the work done according to schedule. The final bill was right in line with their estimate. We were kept advised of any issues when they came up. They clearly explained the issues and what our options were...we never felt like we were being upsold on more work. The quality of their work is very impressive. We have had them redo our flooring, completely redo our bathroom (expanded size of bathroom, moved bathroom door, tile flooring, converted a tub into a walk in shower, etc), remodel our living room (removal of a wall), replace windows, level our crawlspace, install a French drain, landscape our back yard, build a pergola, etc. All of these projects came out better than our expectations. Even though there were a myriad of additional "small" details that took care of. His team was on time, worked hard, and could not be more professional. I have to say, they were BY FAR the tidiest construction crew we have ever seen. Throughout the renovation project, they kept the house as clean as possible. David has a knack for detail. During our walkthrough before construstion, he was able to visualize what would work down to the inch. I was concerned we wouldn't have enough room to place the fridge where we wanted it. Not to worry- his experience came through and everything was spot on. Their team does not let small issues go unresolved. Even when it wasn't assigned to him. He found rusty pipes while working on the electric. He brought it to our attention and took care of it without question. I can only imagine how big the repair bill would eventually be if he did catch it. I've attached the before (grey floor) and after (blond floor) to show off his team's talent. His team: 1. Knocked out a load-bearing wall and added beam to open up the living room into the kitchen/dining. 2. Redid the floors. 3. Redid the bathroom (expanded bathroom by incorporating closet from second bedroom, created walk-in shower, added dual vanity, tiled floors) 4. Replaced windows in master bed and bathroom 5. Lots of rewiring and adding outlets 6. Painted entire house, including garage 7. Uncounted "minor" details that improved the lifetime value of the home Could not be happier. He had very clear communications and gave me calls and texts on his ETA and to make sure the door he acquired was to our liking. I also appreciated the consideration he took for toddler safety, specifically with the knob placement to make it easier to install a child lock and also more difficult for my little one to open the closet for safety reasons. I really thought this was the company to go with with all the great reviews. The owner came to give…read morethe estimate and he seemed knowledgeable and friendly enough. He sent a estimate that had a final price at the bottom. I agreed and the work began after a few week wait period we agreed upon. 1st guy was the pressure washer. Now I understand in order to pressure wash some water can get in places like the garage door and around openings so when I pressure wash my home I am careful. Not this guy water is all over the place most dried ok but the basement laminate flooring absorbed the moisture and now I have a wavy floor next to the door due to the water intrusion. Not to mention paint chips are everywhere now. This was just the pressure washer. When the painters came some of the paint chips were cleaned up but not very well, they brought multiple cars leaving no parking for us when we got home, when asked to be moved he just nodded his head (honestly I don't think he spoke English), they did cover plants and areas around with plastic but left tape and pieces of plastic all over, I was told all gaps and holes would be caulked in the estimate and the bees going into the siding proves that wasn't true and the thing that bothered me the most was the guys walking through the patch of grass I was trying to seed. That was the painting. Then time came for the bill. He sent me one that was more than the original. He also only wanted cash which I don't do. I explained WA state law that you cannot charge more than 10% or $100 than a original estimate so he lowered his bill then I offered my card and he said they don't accept card. Not even debit card which there are still some contractors that don't but they usually tell you at the beginning of the job or have it on the estimate cash or check only which he did not. We ended up paying check and finally have this whole ordeal behind us. I am unsure how this guy has so many 5 star reviews maybe my situation was a fluke thing he was very busy, maybe his workers were overwhelmed or not his regular workers I don't know but my experience was not a 5 star and felt obligated to share my experience.

TNC Construction was great in helping me fix a hole caused by a woodpecker on the side of my house…read more It was a relatively small project but something I didn't feel totally comfortable with addressing myself, and TNC was able to provide a quick and easy quote based on my description and pictures prior to visiting, and once they came to assess the situation and describe in more detail what needed to be done, aligned very closely to that original quote while explaining clearly why there were a few differences. They finished the project swiftly and allowed me to review for myself before calling it complete, and everything looks as good as new. As mentioned, this was a relatively small project that I was hesitant to do myself but also cognizant of bigger companies/contractors over-charging me, and TNC came through with a completely reasonable and understandable quote/rate and did a great job on fixing the issue. Highly recommend for both large and small projects around the house.
