I enjoyed this neighborhood pub quite a bit. We arrived and there was a nice group of people outside, so we grabbed a seat inside. They made room for us as we didn't have a reservation, but we said we could eat fast and scamper before the rest of the parties arrived. We ordered so much off the menu as this is a BBQ place in London and being originally from Texas, I had to try London BBQ. I was surprised and delighted - I think they did a great job. We ordered the pork ribs, chicken wings, fries and their corn item. The ribs were tender and well seasoned, the wings were also very tasty, fries were delicious but the corn was roasted just a bit too much. There was no moisture left in the kernels, so I would pass on those. But the main part of the meal was super delicious. Now I can say that there is a good BBQ spot in London. read more

Smoked meat is the specialty here. The savory smells engulf you when you walk in promising a great meal. The service was on point and the food wonderful. We had the smoked beetroot and goat cheese salad and Loaded Mac & cheese accompanied by 2 beers. Very satisfying meal. read more

A fantastic pub near Paddington Station that we happened to find just off busy Edgeware Road. The double gin and tonics were flowing for me and the pints were flowing for the rest of the family, and then we got hungry. Their meats (sausage cheddar, lamb chops, and chicken wings) were delicious and the mac and cheese and truffle fries alone were well worth the visit. Portions were not very large and prices were standard London, i.e., higher than home but about the same as New York City (until you see the difference between pounds and dollars on your credit card statement), but the place had a great vibe and tons of locals. Note that they do include a 12.5% service charge, which was way too low for the quality of service we received. read more

Classic British pub atmosphere with inside and outside seating. It is getting cold so more inside than outside for the next few months. Bartender and servers were friendly abnd readily engaged us in converstation. Relaxing evening overall. We were in London on a Sunday, so the Sunday roast was on our agenda. Not completely traditional but the short ribs make a fine substitution for the roast. The Lord Wargrave's are smoked and tender. All that flavor with the vegatables and yorkshire pudding was great. I finished my meal off with the sticky pudding. (Yes, I stuffed myself, but you shouldn't skimp on a experience like this.) What a great find on our first night in London. Exhausted with jet, lag we wanted a super casual pup, and this so fit the bill. A 10 minute walk from our hotel, we arrived to this beautiful space and the place was nearly empty, but that didn't last for long. The gentleman who sat us was also our server, very personable and great at guiding us. With his advice we selected a local beer and a local cider from the taps, and after a taste ordered pints. They were very good. We started with the bbq wings, tender and succulent, practically falling off the bone. Probably the best wings we've ever had. My partner ordered the smash burger, he said it was perfect in every way with fries on the side. I ordered the smoked butt sandwich, amazing ! Tender, melt in the mouth, also with fries which I doused in malt vinegar and salt. All in all a great evening in a lovely atmosphere with delicious food and a lovely crowd. We were directed here from the last pub. Really nice cot or pub ! The food wasn't what we were used too, but we gave it a try. The burgers were a way bit to funky for my taste. The Mac n cheese was a bit wet and the cheese was a taste I was not used too. The French fries were great !!! One of the patrons had a beautiful Bernes mountain dog name Brutus ! I liked the board games on the shelf, it means come and stay for a wail. It was the kind of pub I expected!!!' Stumbled upon this place while staying near by. First thought when I waked through the door was that it smelled amazing. We weren't super hungry so opted for the Buns. Smash burger w/ bacon was one of the best I've had. Also tried a bite of the Boston butt and chicken thigh sandwiches. Boston butt was really tasty, but if I ever make it back, I'm going for the chicken. Great vibe, friendly staff, amazing food, and cold beer. What's not to love? This was by far one of the best dining experiences we had while vacationing in London. Being from Los Angeles and an avid barbecuer who spends every weekend smoking various cuts of meat, I had to try this place. It's legit BBQ. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. Came here in the middle of the COVID hype. Needless to say the service was fantastic. We walked in and they were able to find us a seat immediately. The servers and bartenders were very friendly and funny. We had tap and cask beer. Both were great. I ordered the Austin sausage on a bun and my wife had the Boston butt bun and both were excellent. Really nice place to go after work. They have a good selection of beer. You can taste them as well. The patio is super nice outside. Gets packed quick after work. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Haven't tried their food but will do so next time. The price is pretty reasonable. read more
