My nails were not filed evenly and some are strangely angled and not even filed straight. Very little was done to smooth the heels of my feet and they we left rather rough. I'm also not a fan of metal scrappers being used for exfoliating. The polish was thick and gloopy and it left little bubbles and a strange looking texture on my nails. There was quite a bit of nail polish left on my skin which I had to clean off once I got home. There was no tissue wrapped between my toes to keep them apart and the polish was applied before putting my flip flops on so putting them on after only ruined what had been done to that point. The second coat of polish was more to fix the mess that putting on the flip flops made. The outcome defeated the purpose of getting a pedicure. I'll have to take it off and redo it myself before stepping out in sandals. The calf massage was nice though. Live and learn.

The third time I had 2 nails pop off within 4 to 5 days after my appointment. I didn't bother going back! I went to a new place today and was told that it's because the person who was doing them is doing them super super THICK that it leads to the whole nail popping off. The tub was already filled with water but since I was the only person having a pedicure, I was able to see the condition of the other tubs. They all looked like they could use a good scrubbing! My technician, although really nice, was more interested in watching the television than working on my feet and would frequently pause during filing and massaging to watch it and talk with the other employees. As she applied various lotions and potions to my toes, feet and legs, the excess was left to drip all over the floor as she placed the squeeze bottles back in her trolley. I just found the lack of care and cleanliness incredible. I was definitely NOT impressed when I was asked to put my bare feet directly on the foot rest of the pedicure chair without a towel underneath them! This salon is nothing like the newer 'high-tech' ones with their fancy UV drying systems... they had me sit back at the front of the store with a little fan pointed at my toes... sure it does the job but it lacks that 'je ne sais quoi', if you know what I mean. When my toes were dry, they removed the little salon slippers and put them in a basket with a stack of others... please tell me they are thrown out and NOT recycled!!!! Once I got home and was able to look more closely at the pedicure itself, I wasn't pleased. There are areas where you can see the brush strokes and where she missed doing a second coat. In my opinion, this salon is rundown and could do with a good cleaning and perhaps a fresh set of towels. I'm giving them 2-stars only because the staff was really friendly but I know I won't be back.

She got bio gel (gel tips - not acrylics but I got a regular shellac manicure) I absolutely love their colour selection, I feel like there were so many options I didn't even know which to pick! I showed my nail tech a photo of the nails I wanted for the wedding I was attending and she did a great job! She really helped me pick the correct shade of pinky nude that I was looking for, and made sure I liked it as well.
