She did great quality work just like she would for anyone else, and as he has some difficulty moving and getting up, she helped him sit down and get up safely and even put on his sock and shoes for him which I really respected. This is a Great Find! I was driving to Markham from East Whitby on the 407 every 1.5 to 2 weeks for my fill. I wanted to find something closer - I took to Yelp for my search Even though only 6 reviews on here, I wanted to give them a shot. I read these reviews to find my nail tech. Most named Crystal - I called and made my appointment with Crystal. I had to book a few days out, i got the vibe they cannot accommodate many walk-ins. But I could be wrong. I called to switched the day and time earlier that morning, and I felt the customer service was good - they did not complain or led on that it was an inconvenience. On the day of my appointment, I got there a little bit early - about 20 minutes to scope out the salon. The reception area and nail area are small. Nail manicure area only had 3 tables. They had a few other rooms, but I didn't look at these. Most people who walked in/out were getting pedicure and manicure or just straight pedicure. I assume they can accommodate more pedicures. I was happy to see they had Bio Seaweed Gel in paint - I like the colors bio seaweed gel has and I find the paint lasts a while. It's good quality. When I lived downtown, a downtown salad i used to use had bio seaweed gel. And one of the main reasons why I went to markham salon was that they had bio seaweed gel too. Anyways, they had other brands too, which there was a good color selection. I came in knowing what I wanted, so it didn't take me long to decide, I just wanted to see the options for the future. They had spa music going - which was different for a nail salon, but I guess they accommodate some spa services there. The prices were a bit higher than Markham, they were more close to Downtown. You get what you pay for right, I wasn't concerned as long as my nails were great. I paid $57 without gratuity for what I had done. I had two nails to fix and the rest were gel refill. I showed her the style I wanted as I needed my square shape nails shaped to coffin shaped. I also showed them a picture example of an accent nail I wanted in leopard print. Crystal was on it! She made some small talk with me and was attentive in her work. Crystal made sure my left and right nails were exact in size and shape - which was what I was missing in Markham. They never checked if both thumb nails were the same size - I'd go out of there with one thumb nail bigger than the other... It took 1 hour exact for all to be complete. Well worth it. I always tip $15, which this was no different, she did a great job! She asked twice if I liked the final product, she wanted to make sure I was happy. Can't go wrong with that! What a hidden gem. Honestly moved to Pickering a year ago and couldn't find a great nail salon.Found this place because my usual place couldn't accommodate me and WOW! Crystal took care of me and she was absolutely fantastic. She took so much care and my hands look amazing! I got marble and it wasn't expensive at all! $8 for two fingers. I'll post the picture! The staff is incredibly nice and I've never left disappointed. My nails seldom chip and if ever they do they're more than happy to fix it with no hesitations or costs (within the first week). Under new management and I can honestly say that the new nail technicians are really good. They are up to date with the latest nail designs and techniques. I no longer have to travel into the city for current and trendy nails. The previous staff wasn't and they also didn't know how to apply polish properly. These new nail techs do. One thing I don't like is the manager hovering around over the technician and my shoulder while getting service. They should also be clear on communicating pricing when upselling clients. Otherwise, I prefer them to the other nail salons in Pickering and am now a regular customer. read more

Came in for a regular mani/pedi. Had my nails done by the owner I believe? (She was the only one who didn't have a smock on or name tag) Cut my cuticle on my big toe so badly I yelled. Was bleeding. Do you think she even acknowledged what happened or said sorry? The whole salon heard me yelp. I was also pressured hard for shellac, which destroys my nails so I won't do it, and refused. You could tell she was pissed. Then I understood why, because they just wanted me out of there. While drying the girls came over and started to roll down my jeans. I said I was fine and could do it myself when I was done. They didn't back off. Then they proceeded to put on my shoes and walked me out the door. Brutal. Won't be back. read more

I tired this nail spot out because I had seen good reviews online. Long story short, I won't be a returning customer. I went in for a pedicure and was asked if I wanted shellac on my toes. I declined and asked for regular polish. I asked to have my nails cut shorter and was told no, that my nails were short enough already. Umm .. ?! In mid conversation with a friend, I noticed the nail technician started applying shellac. I reminded her that I just wanted regular polish and was told that shellac lasts longer. Ok great, but that's not what I'm asking for. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my pedicure to get lotion applied for an extra fee. I have NEVER experienced this in my life while getting a pedicure/manicure. I've always had lotion applied and a little massage as part of the service. When I went to get my manicure, again was asked if I only wanted my nails filed. I asked for them to be cut so that they could all match each other (a couple were broken) and again was told that they're already short enough. I had to be more clear that I wanted them all the same size and so she finally cut them. Once my manicure was done, the technician left and told me to just sit there and wait until my friend was done. She never returned to take off the paper towel wrapped around my toes, didn't return to check if my nails were dry enough, nothing. Needless to say I will not be returning as I was not satisfied with the service or the way my manicure/pedicure looked. read more

I was told I had to pay before I had my services as they were closing soon ( pre booked apt not a walk in ) so I felt very rushed. I went to this salon with my mother on the weekend. Our first impression was that it was very lovely and clean. To good to be true I thought to myself. My mom got a pedicure, and I got what I thought was going to be a "bio gel fill" with shellac polish. The girl who did my nails was lovely, however she talked the entire time,which was fine, however it would appear that she rushed through my nails, was not taking any time with them, and did such a terrible job!! Turns out this salon uses acrylic fill and tells people it is bio gel, I know because my usual salon does actual gel and its gel, not powder like the one this salon uses. I was livid. She finished my nails and before I had a chance to look at them and realize what a terrible job she had done she had disappeared and went home for the night (we were the last appointment before closing). I looked down at my hands, she had missed so many spots with the polish, all my nails were different shapes and sizes. All the nail techs had gone home, so I had to ask the receptionist to go over the shellac at least so there at least the colour was "ok". The receptionist was very nice for doing that, she didn't charge me for the shellac, however I was so furious- I don't live in Pickering, I was only there visiting so I cannot go back and get them fixed, however I just want to make it clear that if you're wanting to go somewhere to get a "gel" fill do not go here. My mom enjoyed her pedicure so that is a good thing at least..... Needless to say I will not be returning here. read more
