Seeing her smile again and enjoy walking without pain has been life-changing for our family. Dr. Abdulian is an exceptional surgeon who truly cares about his patients. His entire staff is professional, compassionate, and supportive throughout the whole process. We are beyond grateful for the outstanding care they provided. Thank you for giving my mom her life back. Dr. Abdulian has a great bedside manner and was very reassuring about being able to help my mother to regain the function of her right shoulder. We can't recommend Dr. Abdulian highly enough and his office staff is very nice and helpful as well. If a gifted orthopedic surgeon is needed, you can't go wrong with Dr. Abdulian. Cinthia G.

Prior to that appointment, I was in PT for 2 months which only made the pain worse and then received an epidural shot from a pain physician. The epidural shot wore off after 6 weeks and the pain came back in mid-March 2026 worse and persistent. I made the decision to get a microdiscectomy and got it done on April 21, 2026. Dr. Lee and his office is very professional. He takes his time and answers every question I had about the surgery, recovery, and anything I could think about. He never rushes me out the door and spends the time talking through everything with me. He called for two days after the surgery, and his team was able to answer any questions via phone I had. Dr. Lee has been a resource at several milestone appointments: 2 weeks post op, 6 weeks post op, and 4 months post op. He also gave me a great recommendation for the PT required after my 6 weeks of recovery. Two things I would like to point out is the hospital nurses all had great things to say about him the day of the surgery and kept telling me I was in good hands. The OR nurse even told me she's consulting with him about her pain. The PT office I selected based on Dr. Lee's recommendation has also been great. At my first appointment with them during the physical exam, based on my physical responses to the exam, they told me I had a great surgeon who worked on me, and I was in great shape just 6 weeks after the surgery. I know a full recovery can take up to a year so I am still in recovery and doing PT (more for my sanity) as I had a large herniated disc, but I am no longer in pain and feel like my prior self 95% of the time. I would recommend Dr. Lee in a heartbeat!

I prepared the disc to be mailed off with the USPS, which required a signature once delivered to Dr. Lee's office. I did this because the disc has my Personal Health Information (PHI) and my Personal Identification Information (PII). I also called Dr. Lee's office and spoke his female staff members - twice - to alert them of the disc being sent and the need for someone's signature. I was brushed off and ignored. I few days later, I get a bill for the office visit. Long story short, my disc sat at the USPS in Glendale until it was returned to me by USPS as no one went into the USPS to sign for the disc. A female staffer calls me to ask if I had received their bill, to which I told her I had. She tells me to ignore it because they filed the claim wrong!?!? I would not recommend anyone going here.

Great place to go if your bones are broken…read more I've been told by firefighters and medical professionals that they see so many injuries related to falling off ladders. Well, my hubby just got added to the list. On Saturday his ladder slid off the step while he was putting up Christmas lights. The whole thing just came crashing down horizontally on a brick front porch. Crash.....bang....boom and then some screams. Our neighbors ran outside to see what happened. My son and I also ran out. I thought my son was the spotter, but I guess my hubby didn't think he needed one. We've been to Dr. Osterkamp numerous times over the years or to his partners. It is a group with a few orthopaedic surgeons, so if one is booked up then there is usually someone else. Just don't expect to go in on a Friday afternoon. I think most of them are golfers and they leave early. Dr. Osterkamp's Partners at Orthopaedic and Sports Surgeons of the Foothills include Dr. Owens, Dr. Geller and Dr. Orlando, and they are all great. I saw Dr. Owens when I broke my shoulder from a dirt bike (motorcycle) accident. My son has also seen one of more of them for various fractures. My nephew who played baseball for a UC Davis club team went to Dr. Osterkamp for his torn rotator cuff and surgery and I think he's doing great. Dr. Osterkamp, his partners, nurses and staff are great though. Allison, his nurse is fabulous and had me laughing so hard I started crying. I told her my hubby's trade in value was going down because of all of his "issues". Allsion said he didn't even have a warranty. He's always telling me the same thing, so it was a perfect opportunity to get even. Also, he's pretty helpless with his crutches and can't run too fast right now. Dr. Osterkamp reviewed the x-rays from the hospital, performed an exam, gave us a RX for a boot and we were on our merry way. Ho ho ho!

Review number 500…read more Thought I would commemorate a hot tub accident from two New Year's Eves ago. The story about the hot tub will not be documented in this review as there are rules on postings and the bright bulbs at Yelp Central would find something offensive, I am sure. Suffice it to report that as a result of a moment of distraction, I had my foot and ankle twisted in a most painful, unnatural orientation. Actually, I was optimistic that it might be a sprain when it happened, but with the glorious purple colors growing over two days, my optimism was dashed. I dragged myself to an urgent care center for X-rays. Three broken bones in the foot and ankle ligaments stretched too far. The next day I was at Dr. Osterkamp's office as a matter of referral from the Urgent Care place. Wow, this guy is right out of TV doctor scenes like Marcus Welby MD (series from 1969 -76). Soft spoken, attentive, informative and a real nice person with whom to discuss your condition. He prescribed something for the pain and swelling along with a boot from a business in the same building. I went home to locate my crutches in the garage (accidents have happened in the past as well). I have since discovered by talking to others, that Dr. Osterkamp performs surgery in the next building over which is Verdugo Hills Hospital. Almost everyone I meet has been there for things like mine or they know someone he has fixed under the knife. He has an enormous alumni of happy patients all around the area. Fortunately, my situation only required three more visits over 6 weeks without the need for surgery. I have a really nice boot if someone needs one. Dr. Osterkamp is a super cool and caring provider of medical services. His staff is good and really make you fell better just having them attend to your visit. Dr. Osterkamp and his crew are a class act. My left foot thanks you.

If you care about your health and well being, do not come to a place that practices mill medicine,…read morecontrary to the standard of care. Multiple rushed and poor experiences here with several physicians. Most of your face time here is with physician assistants. When a doctor experiences significant tactile resistance during an injection and openly admits a lesion isn't behaving like a typical cyst, shifting to a passive "wait-and-see" approach without looking at your historical imaging is simply a contradiction in clinical logic. Calling that out isn't about being confrontational; it is about recognizing that your intuition was right, your questions are valid. Dr. Billings operates a medical mill. I came to see Dr Billings (incidentally CEO of Pasadena Orthopedics) for a thumb lesion xrayed 5 years ago and never biopsied. She injected my thumb without so much as objectively establishing if the lesion was solid or cystic. She told me with utmost confidence that I have a cyst. She suddenly revised her diagnosis while in the midst of obviously struggling to inject the lesion with steroids. She wanted to move fast because volume means Benjamins $. I walked in with little to no pain, and walked out unable to fully flex or extend my thumb without pain. The office then gave me the run around for a simple imaging request after the pain progressively worsened and insinuated that the response to my injection in 6 weeks is "diagnostic." No rationale was offered. Billings tried to pivot with, "let's see if we get a treatment response." Truth is, she realized unnecessary needle trauma would have to be healed from forcefully trying to inject steroids (liquid) in something with the density of an eraser (before imaging could become meaningful). I offered to show them prior imaging, but they were too busy churning out patients. I came here for diagnostic clarity, not to sit around for 2 hours and be provided substandard care. The audacity of trying to pass it off as, "let's wait to see if the treatment responds" (damn well knowing it's not behaving like a cyst and forcing fluid in a solid mass in a patient's thumb). Come on now.
