Very nice office staff. Off putting religious decor throughout. His self published book featuring a shirtless photo of the doctor are displayed in every room of his medical suite. Dr Harrison is...odd. I went to see him for my on-going shoulder pain. He told me to become a vegan and stop eating rice and flour and sugar and soy, oh and salt. He recommended that I fast like he does. Dr Harrison claimed to eat only once every third day. If you're wondering how this was supposed to help my shoulder pain, I am wondering that too. His office was to set me up for an MRI which never happened and nobody apologized for. I have had a very bad run of luck with Orthopedists for my shoulder issue and unfortunately this guy is on that list. I wish I had someone to recommend in his place. Dr Harrison has several condescending quirks. One of which is he kept calling me "young man." I'm 58. And he's very likely close to my age. read more

I'm in construction and an active athlete that happens to get in an accident here and there. My wrist has been killing me after a car accident that I have been recovering from for a year now. I have seen 3 doctors before Levi and was really losing trust in my recovery options. Surgery was the option #1 from the last 2 doctors and I'm really not in a position to be out of work for weeks. Levi heard and cared about my situation and understood the importance of being able to use my hand. He explained all my options and let me decide what I wanted to do. It worked !! I started going here in 2016 for carpal tunnel. Every single appointment he was at least 30 minutes late. Even if I had the first appointment of the day he would not be in til 20 mins after my appointment time. Which is stupid, considering the appointments only lasted 5 mins. Anyway, my symptoms were bad. He continually prescribed acupuncture. He wouldn't give me an injection because he said you are only allowed two in your lifetime before your muscles start sinking in on themselves (??!!)... anyway, the acupuncture would help briefly but it didn't heal anything. He never recommended surgery yet my hand got worse and now my other hand started to suffer because of overcompensating. I got fed up with the BS and went to another doctor in 2020 who, within 3 months, had me in surgery and said my carpal tunnel was even worse than expected. And he was in disbelief it had been going on since 2016. There's no denying Dr Harrison is charming, but I would never go to his office again. read more

First let me say Dr. Harrison's office is beautiful, large amethyst geodes, medicine buddha tapestry, merkabah, mandalas, and other mystical art tastefully hung throughout. The energy there was super clean. I was referred to Dr. Harrison by my lawyer due to a thumb injury from a car accident. Dr. Harrison examined my injury and had me record a video of exercises to get it back into working order. The exercises really helped, and he offered further treatment but I unfortunately declined since my thumb had already improved significantly. My only regret is not being able to visit Dr. Harrison a few more times because of how lovely he, his office, and staff were. read more

Dr.Levi Harrison was a complete nightmare. Not only did he not listen to my concerns as a patient. This office and the Doctor have no idea how to treat a patient. I was left to reinjury myself and was told there was nothing they can do for me other than obtain records and get a second opinion. If you are able to avoid this doctor he will not care about your progress and refuse to do a work note on an ongoing injury. When I was on workers compensation, he did the best of his ability to do everything for my wrist(right wrist) I cant blame him, or their office for my employers insurance for workers compensation. If there was delays, on shots, MRIs, Xrays, surgery etc. Only people I would blame is the insurance company my employer worked with. Sedgwick is the worst workers compensation insurance! For any employer. Always gave me a hard time, & would cause delays for everything. Mr Harrison assisted me every step of the way. Hands down worst orthopedic doctor I've ever been to. Went to this doctor referred to by my old company I use to work for, for a wrist injury on the job. The doctor gave me 2 cortisone shots and said I'll be brand new to go back to work. Low and behold, the shots made my wrist and forearm 10x worse and could barely move it I was in so much pain. Came back to this doctor, told him what was going on and he told me to go back to work, that I need to strengthen my wrist for it to heal. Come on Really????????? As you might of already guessed, went back to work and re-injured it worse than it already was. Thanks Doc!!!!! I had a plate put in my arm about a year ago by another doctor. After the initial doctor moved away, I needed to find a new one. Dr. Harrison had great reviews so I checked to see if he was covered by my worker's comp and he was. When I saw Dr. Harrison on March 12th, he seemed like a nice guy. He took x-rays right in his office with seemingly great technology, said he was going to take the plate out of my arm just like the initial doctor said he would at this time frame. Told me to talk to the receptionist to schedule a surgery. The receptionist then said okay, we will put the request in for surgery through worker's comp - we will call you next week to schedule. A week went by and I didn't hear anything. So I called them back and the girl who answered seemed super confused. Couldn't find my chart and after finding my chart, said "The plate is in your left arm, right?" (Its in the right) She then said I needed to get an MRI - which was never addressed when I talked to them in person on the 12th. So they sent me for an MRI. The first MRI called and cancelled within 30 minutes of my appointment. I left work early and was sitting in traffic already headed that way (which wasted 45 minutes of my life). The day after this I got a call from a random medical company out of nowhere that I ignored thinking it was probably spam. When I called Dr. Harrison's office, they said to take the call because I was going to be receiving some sort of brace. Cool, don't know what to do with that since we never really discussed it, but whatever maybe it will help. Get another call from another MRI place - scheduled an MRI, got the MRI taken, and waited. Again. Called the next week and left a voicemail. Over two months later, I'm still waiting. Everyone in this office seemed nice, but there's no follow up, no clear instruction on what I'm supposed to do, and terrible communication in general. You can be as nice and high tech as you want, but if I don't know what I'm supposed to do - when I'm supposed to do it - we're not going to get anywhere. I don't know if it's because I'm a worker's comp case or what, but the care has been pretty terrible and it's pretty clear they don't really care about me at all. Dr. Levi is the best. I met doc due to a very tragic car accident which left my right hand injured... I really enjoy the vibe in his office and his outlook on health. He's genuinely a good man - he suggested the idea of a holistic approach versus a more invasive fix towards mild carpel tunnel syndrome off-set by the accident which shows he actually cares about his patients. He is firm and on point with his analysis / diagnosis yet alone extremely sharp. Dr. Harrison and his entire office staff has been absolutely phenomenal with my care. They got me in early, and we're prompt with service, and Dr. Harrison was very honest about my diagnosis and care. With my postop appointment, the nurses remembered who I was and were very kind when they saw I had to bring all four of my kids to the appointment. Dr. Harrison itwas even willing to remove stitches for my youngest son sense multiple doctor appointments and one day can definitely be difficult with four young kids along for the ride. I got lucky with the referral to Dr. Harrison and have already recommended him to family and friends. Update: I was in a car accident y'day and I called Dr. Harrison to check in bc I reinsured my hand with pins. He asked me to come to his Glendale office at 3. Doors are locked tight (even though the sign says M-F: 9-5) and when the answering service tried calling, nobody answered. I'm disappointed bc I'm in a substantial amount of pain and no one is answering the Update #2: I am scheduled to have a procedure tomorrow to remove pins from my hand. I didn't receive a reminder phone call today so I called at around 3:30. I was told that he might be postponing all of the procedures and that I would receive a return call by 4 o'clock letting me know one way or the other. I never received the call, so I called back at 4:45 (they close at 5). At this point the answering service took the call. I still don't know what's happening tomorrow. This man is amazing, not only at his profession but as a human. His passion and integrity is outstanding. So outstanding, that I had to write a yelp review. I'm extremely surprised to see other people giving bad reviews of their situations. From what I gather, though, the folks that seem unhappy here are voicing trivial issues that have no bearing to the objective...being healed by the Dr. I'm a rock climber and have injured my hands many times, makes it feel like they are being crushed in a vice. I forget the technical term of my condition. Dr. Harrison examined me and put me on a quick regime that fixed all of my pain within days. I can now rock climb more often and not worry about my wrists/hands hurting. He also took care of my mother! She had a previous surgery on her hand from another Dr. and it didn't go so well. She was referred to Dr. Harrison and he quickly gave her a cortisone shot that helped relieve the pain, and then performed a surgery of his own that yielded great results. She was out of work for 6 months before seeing him and is now on her way to a full recovery. I can say, without a doubt, that he 100% cares about my mother's well being and is doing everything he can to fix her injured hand. It's a good feeling to know that she is in good care. read more

Dr. Danny Levi Harrison, is my hand surgeon. I have carpal tunnel injuries to both wrist and elbows. Some shoulder pain and neck pain. I have been his patient for several years. I have never had a doctor treat me like a family member before. He treats you as if you were his mother, sister or brother. After my first surgery, he called my home to check on me. I was shocked. But, he really does care. If he doesn't call, his staff will. He will try many methods to make you feel better. I have muscle spasms in my neck. He has sent me to physical therapy, which didn't really work. So, he tried Acupuncture. That actually made me feel better. He always ready to try something new. If something doesn't work he will keep trying to ease your pain. I recommend him to all of my friends and family. Note: I live almost 50 miles away. I will keep him as my doctor forever. read more

Truly excellent and caring doctor. As with most the doctors he is extremely busy but he did an excellent examination my shoulder. Although Dr. Harrison no longer performs shoulder surgeries, he personally took the time to text a fellow surgeon he recommended so that I could get in to see him sooner and not later. He then had his assistant call the doctor's office to make an appointment for me. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Levi Harrison and his staff. Three months ago I dropped a 45 lb. weight directly on my pinky finger, crushing the bone and nearly tearing off an entire segment of my finger. Dr. Levi successfully reattached the finger and realigned the bone (which was shattered). I have just completed physical therapy and the finger is back in working order with minimal scarring. I am back to playing piano and back to all of my regular activities. Aside from his medical expertise, both Dr. Levi and his entire staff are extremely friendly and have excellent bedside manner. Yikes! Harrison was a second opinion only for a torn ligament on my wrist. His bedside manners are not refined so be aware. He seemed disconnected -- it was interesting to observe. He talked over me, made a few presumptuous remarks: 1) See your parents hands and how they're on medication, that's how you will be. Uhm, my folks are in great health; take no meds, I said. 2) Are you retiring soon? No, why? I said. He didn't answer. I thought, I know I'm 51 but do I look like a retirement status!! 3) He said he was going to stop my doctor shopping. Huh?? What?? During my appointment I did a lot of listening (because, again, he would talk over me -- it was weird...and rude). He said "I want you to point at where it hurts most, not where it kind of hurts, not where you think it hurts, and not by saying here (he made a big circle motion on his wrist)...I'm going to repeat it, ...(and he did 2 more times in an annoyed manner). I thought, this guy is a character. Naturally, I began by letting him look at me (because he wouldn't make eye contact) then I began to do a circle around my wrist... just kidding!! I immediately said (come on, I tried to lighten him up but clearly I was not the person). I pointed at two specific points. He then grabbed my injured wrist and manhandled it. I was like OUCH! What the heck!!! Did I not mention the MRI shows I have a torn ligament??!! (yes, I did!!). Then he took my (throbbing) hand and x-rayed it right in front of me with this cool updated x-ray machine (still throbbing). I don't know if he diagnosed me based on my reaction to the pain or the x-ray but he said it's De Quervain syndrome. He proceeded to tell me what is the only way to treat it 1) which he completely recommends and believes it's really the only option, a cortisone shot or 2) acupuncture. I opted acupuncture -- I don't want a (deep in my throbbing wrist) shot! He appeared annoyed. Sorry. He then said he was going to refer me to the acupuncture-ist (??) that works with him in his office. I finally saw a twinkle in his eye as he described her -- he must really like her. Later, I looked up De Quervain and found he didn't do the typical exam docs do to make the diagnoses. I don't get it. read more

I was really disappointed with my experiences here. First, I want to offer a full disclaimer: I am rating this doctor based on visits that were approx 2010. I assure you about the accuracy of my claims. I take copious notes and even have some audio from visits with his office. I broke my pinky. Ended up I had some sort of tumor (enchondroma) that had weakened the bone. The urgent care center referred me to Dr. Harrison. When I met with him, his first suggestion was to make some sort of splint to support the bone better than the cast that the urgent care center put on. He gave me this nice pre-made thing with an aluminum bar in it. You can bend the aluminum to customize the fit. He was very rushed, but put it on me then explained we was going to shape it WHILE IT WAS ON. I was concerned. He assured me it'd be cool. He starts bending it, goes to far and the pain is so intense that I drop to me knees and let out a non-manly scream. :( That was the whole meeting. I called the manufacturer and they advised that the splint should be shaped off hand, then test fit, then reshape and repeat until the desired result is achieved. So that's strike one. He says I have to come back later after he gets the radiologist report. I ask if the report can be sent to me and he explained it has to go through his office since he is the doctor that ordered it. No biggie. I make the appt, then a couple days before the appt I call the office to verify everything is ready for my appt. I come in for the follow up appt when he was going to explain what was in the MRI. He didn't have the report. I got upset and asked why he had me come in and he said he wanted to check up on me anyways...but he didn't know the report wasn't in until I was in the waiting room. He had the office girls refund my copay fee for coming in. Gee. thanks for the $20 and for wasting my day. I took half a day off work for that meeting and I'm waiting to hear from you IF I HAVE CANCER!!! Strike two for wasting my time. Later on, I get the paper work from the insurance company and I was charged for X-rays in the first meeting, but no x-rays were taken! I call the office, they say it's all taken care of. No biggie. A few weeks later I get a call saying I have an outstanding balance for x-rays AND that I had a COPAY that wasn't paid!!! WHAT?!?!? I politely explained to the gal the situation. I go on to say that I know he still got paid by the insurance company for the x-rays (this was verified with Anthem) and that technically he owes THEM money. I ask them consider the issue resolved, or they could take it up with anthem. That brings us to a few weeks ago, approx March 2012. I get ANOTHER call saying that I STILL have an outstanding balance. I again explain the situation. I haven't heard back, so I'm considering this issue resolved. It's still a strike 3 for ripping off the insurance company and not keeping your records up to date. Dr. Harrison, if this gets sent to collections I will resolve the issue myself with the insurance company. I'm sure they'd like to hear about getting charged for x-rays that never happened. I also think he did a crummy job of telling me I needed to see an oncologist and might have cancer. He just threw it out there like it happens all the time- which for him, it might...but for me it was pretty much catastrophic. All in all, the doctor seemed like a nice guy. But after 3 or 4 appts there, these items above and a few others made me realize I had to take my radiology report and head elsewhere. read more

My husband saw Dr. Harrison as part of his worker's comp for a shoulder injury. Over the span of two years, he'd seen a couple other doctors who had only aggravated his injury, so we were worried he was in for more pain. However, Dr. Harrison was the best doctor he'd ever seen in his life. He's thorough, compassionate, and extremely patient. We shared all of our concerns with him and he had my husband's back the whole way to recovery. If you are considering him, definitely make your appointment soon. read more

First thought of this doctor was that he was very caring and compassionate but I later learned just how wrong I was. The ladies in the front desk are extremely sweet and the guy who does the acupuncture is excellent but unfortunately the doctor is a self absorbed jerk. I came in because I had an issue with my wrist and this guy after so many MRI's tells me there is nothing wrong with me completely disregarding the fact that my wrist is obviously swollen and tender to the touch. I ended up requesting for my insurance to send me to another doctor in Pasadena because this guy is too busy talking about his book during our appointment instead of trying to treat me and help me with my issue. I get told all the time that I should of sued this "doctor" for malpractice because my new doctor ended up finding something very wrong with my tendons and unfortunately I now have to live with having pain all the time on my wrist because it took this guy 6 months of bullshit "treatment" to tell me nothing is wrong with me which caused a lot of scar tissue to form. I was raised to believe that everything we do in life comes back to us so I'm letting God and life in general come back and teach this bad man a lesson to be more compassionate over his patients and not just care about the money he makes of his bs 5 min rushed appts and crappy ass book. read more

i) I went to Dr Harrison for a consultation, and unlike other experiences I have had with orthopedic specialists, he took the time to explain the situation in great detail and answered all my questions very patiently. I've never broken ANYTHING in my life, so I was extremely scared about the situation. Going to my first doctors appointment I was having anxiety. as soon as I walked in, it all went away. The room was extremely clean with a beautiful set up. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful and kind. The doctor called my name and I met him and he was the most sweetest/ intelligent man I have ever met. He looked at my broken pinky and knew right away what do to. 5 visits later my hand is practically healed!! I love this place and recommend it to ANYONE with hand troubles.
