First time here. Lots of locals and there was a line to get our plates so knew it must be a good place to eat. Very reasonable on their prices. Food was great country cooking and everything was fresh. The fried foods weren't greasy at all and enjoyed every bite of my fried chicken. Vegetables I picked from the buffet were green beans, corn, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. All were great! No complaints here and will come back. read more

I went to Loretta's with already low expectations, because I knew it would be cafeteria style food. The patrons were lively and pleasant. The food was definitely better than most restaurants and I could tell it was home made. The staff was supremely courteous and top notch in waiting. The reason I give it a 3 out of 5 is because the line was very long and I feel the 9 dollars I paid could have been spent on a business with more filling food. The food is hit or miss. But when it is good, it is really good authentic southern food. Roll, cornbread and biscuits and to die for. Very southern cafeteria atmosphere. Prices pretty reasonable. read more

This place is consistent and always has good food. They fill their biscuits full, for sure. Their lunch and dinner portions are generous. The chocolate cake is pretty good too. The ladies at the window are very friendly. Drive thru is usually wrapped around their building. Sometimes it is better to go inside to place your order. read more

Good breakfast- never had lunch or dinner. Biscuits are homemade. Yummy french toast. Great sweet tea. They have a drive thru but it can be busy especially on a Friday and Saturday morning. Come with time to spare. Special on biscuits some weeks. read more

We regularly eat at Loretta's - at least once a week. We have always found the food, to be of a good variety with fresh vegetables and several meats from which to choose. Pricing is fair and comparable to any Southern Buffet. We have found the staff to be courteous and helpful. On several occasions we have ordered 50 chicken fingers for our Saturday afternoon football parties - they are always ready on time, packed and hot. When I make what I call a "great circle" orbit of Suwanee to Flowery Branch to Oakwood to Cumming and back to home, I try to include a stop at Loretta's for lunch about every second time. Loretta's is a cafeteria style restaurant where you get a tray, then a plate, glide down a stailess steel runway, you pick em, you plop em onto your plate as high as gravity will allow, you grab your paper napkin rolled cylinder of silverware, dispenshussssh your beverage of choice from a fountain machine, pay, pick up your tray, and head to a table. The variety on the steam tables is what you would expect from a country cookin' place. What IS different is that there is an expert hand in the preparation of the veggies (mostly fresh during non-Winter), seasoned to suit the palates of hard working folk. Interpreted: vegetarians better stay away, because the only thing that doesn't have bacon, salt pork or side meat involved in its preparation is the salad bar. The variety of entrees changes from day to day. Fried chicken is good, just stay with the dark meat. Pulled BBQ pork is better than average. Pulled pork roast in gravy is a marvel of country cooking, tender, moist, and savory. Country fried steak has too much breading for my taste, but good flavor. Fried cod or whitefish is huge and good, but poke it with the tongs to see if it's dried out. I generally get a plate with 3 veggies and a slab of cornbread. The pole beans, boiled cabbage, fried okra, home made mashed potatoes, and yellow squash are predictably good. When they have field peas with snaps, I jump for those, and slather on the Texas Pete. I never touch the desserts, but that's true for me at any restaurant. read more

When it comes to meat and three's, it's up there with the best. Its not fancy, which is a requirement for a good meat and three. You pick what you want, the waitresses are great. It will make you remember just why you are so burnd out of burgers and tacos. read more

This used to be my favorite place to eat. Well their prices have gone up dramatically, it's really not that great for the higher prices they charge now. Used to be about $14.00 for 2 people now it's more like $20.00. I won't be going back. read more

I used to go to Loretta's a lot, and then they changed their price list, and my meals started to be $3 higher. I had not been back in about a month, I went for lunch today, and I got roast beef, rice and green beans and a drink and it was $10.50! That is outrageous! When I asked the girl why my meal was so high, she said it was because of the rice. I asked why price of the rice was not posted, she got very nasty with. Their fate is sealed with me! I have not been treated so rudely in a long time. My co-worker got a piece of baked chicken and vegetable soup and cornbread and hers was over $9.00. Had I not been with a group from work, I would have spoken to the manager about the way I was treated. They have lost a few regular customers today! read more
