Stop looking and just make an appointment! Dr. Naglieri and Debbie Boettner are just fantastic! I started going here based off the Yelp reviews and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Naglieri is very kind and actually listens to her patients. I have some hormonal issues and when my gynecologist literally dismissed me as having depression Debbie actually ran every blood test under the sun and found out that I had several levels that were off, including my thyroid. She explained the results, how to fix them, and said "Please bear with me as we get all of this figured out." I love this office! The medical assistant, Shelby, is super nice and loves her job. read more

Horrible, horrible office. Disorganized, chaotic, almost impossible to leave a message on the phone and if you can they won't call you back. The phone number itself often doesn't work. The portal is also a mess, and if things go wrong you get a message saying you can't be configured and doesn't tell you how to correct the problem. You'll have to look far and wide to find customer service this bad anywhere on the planet. I know Dr. Naglieri herself gets great reviews from patients, but I find her kind of distant and off-putting. Sometimes her advice is obvious, but she presents it as if it's cutting edge research. Still, my main complaint is office administration, which is horrific. I am through with this doctor, and I recommend that you look elsewhere for competent, timely medical service. read more

Definately not one to post negatives for a business but.... Doctors are great but don't expect anything else from there. No return phone calls, errors with referrals (even with specific info and direction), portal keeps crashing and forget getting help trying to fix issues. I chose Dr. Naglieri's office and was immediately impressed. It's boutique and well laid out. I can go to the urgent care or emergency for x-rays or broken bones, but would never consider those places for illnesses, internal problems or ongoing care. I've been going to her office for more than 15 years. One of my prescriptions can only be signed off by Dr. Naglieri, since she's the only MD there. For about 13 years the process of getting refills was very easy. Schedule appointment, show up, get 3 scripts for the next 3 months from Naglieri before leaving the building. The past 3 years the process has become a burden for me. Dr. Naglieri is never in the office, so I end up leaving appointments with nothing. I'm continously told that Dr. Naglieri is out of the office and my prescription won't be sent to pharmacy for 48 hours. I'm sorry, but this is terrible customer service. And it's impossible to get ahold of Dr. Naglieri with any issues or concerns. Obviously her patients are not a priority like they used to be. Staff struggles to get ahold of her to fix issues. It would only take 1 minute of her time to send script to pharmacy, and for whatever reason that can take up to 48 hours to do. I've reached my breaking point and coming to the realization that it will be best for me to find a new MD that actually sees patients. read more

Debbie Boettner was my primary physician for years. She was thorough and even made herself available outside of office hours by coming in for early appointments and reaching out over long weekends post-treatment. I saw Dr. Naglieri once over the years when Debbie was unavailable and that was my last time seeing her. I came in for a knee injury to which she told me there was nothing wrong and fast forward 6 years- I can no longer run without pain and have needed to see a physical therapist for said injury. Sadly, Debbie is gone and there is now P.A. Kelly Zentmeyer and Holly Matthews. The only two I can attest to as I've seen them in action. I'm not sure why the standards for Dr. Naglieri's office have diminished so significantly, but the health care here is now seriously lacking. If you have anything more than a common cold, expect to be referred to a specialist. I even had my fiancé come in and he was referred to 3! For what seemed like minor health care concerns, there was no solution. The office even requested additional tests be run without our knowledge only to find out when a second bill was received for bloodwork. To hear the results of the bloodwork, they required a follow-up visit. I called to confirm if there would be another appointment fee since THEY are requiring him to come in and there was! He paid for the first appointment only to be told he would need to pay for another one to hear his bloodwork results?! That had never been a common practice for them before. One annual visit with bloodwork using insurance- expect to see $300 in bills. AND we didn't even go back for that follow-up visit. They have a range they can charge you based on the work they feel they did. For us, it was charged the ​maximum for those 5 minutes of unsuccessfully answered questions only to be referred​ to specialists who can actually​ answer those questions​. He received no real medical care whatsoever. Unfortunately,​ my 10 years or so using this practice has come to an end for myself and my entire family. Parents included as my mother has had the same experience since Debbie left. Be smart and find a physician who doesn't see a price tag over your head and instead genuinely cares about your health. read more

I would like to assure anyone who is seeking out an excellent Doctor to please consider Dr. Lori Naglieri and her team. In all the years I have been doctoring, and there have been many, (I am 70 years old), I have never met any Dr. who has been a better listener, more caring, or more compassionate than Dr. Lori. In addition to this, she is intelligent, thoughtful, and has an excellent bedside manner. In a day and age of modern doctoring where it is often a get'em in and get'em out type of service, this Doctor makes me feel as if I have gone back In time to the days of caring personal services customized just for me. She trys to take her time to understand my concerns. I also love her faith based approach to health care! She is the real deal and then some! Terrible office!!!! I should have listened to the negative reviews. The office staff here is a nightmare. I was a patient here and then changed my insurance. When I looked for Dr. Naglieri on my website, she didn't show contracted at this location but did show contracted at another location. I specifically called the office and told them this and asked if they were in network for my plan at the Ribelin Ranch location. The front desk person very clearly said yes they are absolutely contracted and the insurance company just fails to update their listing etc. and I should schedule my appt. So I scheduled my well visit which was preventative and should have costed me $0. Then I get a bill for $240 because she was out of network!!! When I called the office and explained that called and verified this with THEM. They refuse to take any responsibility and stuck me with a $240! And - similar to another reviewer, 2 yrs ago I scheduled a well visit that they scheduled and coded as an office visit too. Incompetent staff! read more

Don't bother if you're looking for care. As a new patient I was told I had to have a first visit for the doctor to get to know me. The doctor came into the room asking "What do you need today" wow, She spent less than five minutes with me as I told her what my concerns were. She seemed in a hurry and after leaving the room to request make fill a med order she returned and had me breath as she checked my breathing. Then left. I thought the building was on fire she was in such a hurry. I told the lady at the front desk how the doctor was with me. She said she would talk to her. I never heard anything. I called the nurse line three times to tell them I couldn't fill the order and needed help. After 30 days i called again to say the med wasn't working and requested a call back. Never got one. Again had to call the supervisor, Dr Naglieri called me an hour later telling me a lie that she spent more time with me. Never telling me why she never returns calls. I see this is a pattern with her. She needs to learn how to treat her patients right. read more

I've had my fair share of GP's around Austin. Whenever I go to one and don't really feel like their bed side manners are right I move on. However, I've been with Dr. Naglieri for two years now (trust me it's a big deal)! She explains everything to me and does not just hand me prescriptions and shove me out the door. She is very caring and actually remembers who I am. The staff is very friendly, although I have encountered payment issues where they have undercharged me and causing me to go back to pay. ** UPDATE ** I'll never be returning here or recommending anyone else to come here, because they completely screwed me. It was much better in the old office across 2222. Since they moved the service has gone down, they are now too big to care about customer service. Debbie use to take the time to talk to you and now it's all very rushed like every other doctors office. I had requested a referral from them, which they had previously sent, and they confirmed they resent a new one for me. Fast forward 3 months, turns out they didn't. EVEN though someone from the office called and confirmed to me that they sent the referral over. Now they refuse to send it, and claim no one ever said they sent one over. WTF!! And they also say they never sent one for me at all, although the other office says they see one in the past! What kind of record system do they have going on there?! No idea, but I don't trust them anymore and they lost my loyalty. By far one of the best offices I have been too in years. I have had a few terrible doctors in the past after losing my favorite doctor years ago at Seton. I can always get an appointment with Dr. Naglieri or Debbie. I actually prefer to go to Debbie and truly have come to enjoy going into the the office with her. She actually remembers who I am and my previous issues that aren't written on my charts. She is beyond professional and never makes you feel weird about your questions that you have to ask. I love them for their professional care and the entire staff is just so nice. The office is amazingly beautiful, they just moved offices so I'm in love with the new one. I really enjoy the lady who takes your blood work. She is extremely nice as well for pricking you and taking all your blood she really makes it pleasant. In addition the bathroom is well thought out for urine samples, so that is a nice touch that was thought through. I dread having to call this office because of the front desk. Dory constantly belittles and berates you before trying to come up with a solution. EVERY time throwing in a comment that she feels so necessary. The latest was today I had a televisit scheduled for 11:20. When I did not see any information in my email this morning or text I thought there was a hiccup so I scheduled on zocdoc appointment at 2 pm. Minutes after scheduling I received a text about my 11:20 appointment. I immediately cancelled the 2 pm one on zocdoc. At 11:20 I tried the link and was getting an error message. I called the office and unfortunately got Dory with her saying the appointment was cancelled, but not before she could get in her..."most people don't have two doctor visits the same day"....she is exhausting and condescending. Now anyone who has dealt with Dory knows if she saw two appointments on the book she would call you, while also alerting you to your mistake. The zocdoc appointment I made and cancelled was within 5 minutes. I worked in Healthcare for 20 years. Her behavior is appalling...especially when it's usually the first person in the practice that sets the tone of the office. read more

My appointment was easy breezy from beginning to end. The front desk, medical assistant and nurses are all very pleasant. They seem to get patients in at their actual appointment time, which is a blessing. I was seen by Mrs. Debbie Boettner PA-C and she has incredible bedside manner! Good experience. I had a little hesitation seeing a woman doctor, given I am a man, but her professionalism and knowledge and sense of truly caring for my well being made me a fan. I am glad to have a new PCP so close to my home. I would recommend any man to get over the "weirdness" factor of seeing a woman doctor and book an appointment. She did a great job. Plus, she has smaller fingers than a man....Guy's you know what I mean. As with Andy she would have received 5 stars had I not had to wait until 10:50 for a 10:30 appointment. Dr. Naglieri's office is very nice, and I'd have to give her three stars just for being so close. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and the wait to get an appointment, and then sitting in the waiting room were both pretty easy. The doctor struck me as very knowledgeable (always a plus for a doctor to know what they're talking about), and her manner was good. She also didn't seem in a rush at all, which is a big deciding factor to me. She seemed like she'd spend as much time as required to take proper care of you. The star I deducted is for waiting over 20 minutes additional once I got back to the examination room, though that may just be the trade off to having a doctor take the time needed with her patients. read more

Please hire someone who is actually kind and takes time to answer questions. Dory acts like she is way too important to be answering the phones, and all of her answers are sarcastic with a hint of "are you a dumb ass?" Keeping Dr. Naglieri as a doctor is not worth it when I feel like dog shit every time I get off the phone with her office. If I want to see someone, it seems I can only see PAs when I visit this office now. The medical assistant (Crystal) who just returned my call, telling me that despite the fact that my cardiologist told me I should be tested for COVID since my daughter has been exposed, was completely rude and uncaring in her tone, told me that I could make an appointment "if I want to," but "there's protocols and paperwork" I'd have to fill out and if I don't have a cough or fever they won't test me. I understand the message but her lack of empathy and tone of voice are not that of a person who should be employed in the health care field, no matter how stressed everyone is right now. read more

Today I was reminded of why I stopped going to Dr. Naglieri's office a couple years ago. 10 days ago I contacted her office because of a bloody mass in my stool. I was directed to an assistant's voice mail, to leave a message. I did, with the request for my previous GI info and my concerns. I did not hear back. Two days ago (Saturday) I again had a bloody mass in my stool. Today, Monday morning I went by the office for assistance so that the bloody stool (triple bagged) could be given to a lab for analysis. I was sent to the lab next door, where they drew blood, but said no stool sample was ordered. The lab said the office must order the stool sample, I was sent back to Dr. Naglieri's office to resolve. There, Dori (an assistant) told me I must be first seen for stool lab work, and that I could not been seen today, if only to order stool lab work. I asked to speak with Dr. Naglieri. Dori informed me that Dr. Naglieri was standing on the other side of the doorway and overheard the conversation and my request. I then said, fine, then I'd like to briefly speak to her. Whereupon Dori, stated "She's in clinic with a patient." When the staff ignores you (the phone call from 10 days ago), and then sends you to the lab, but doesn't include the necessary order for stool sample, and then flat lies to the patient in order to make them go away, it is time to find a different doctor. When I, a 64 year old man, who had now twice reported a bloody mass in his stool, and requested both lab and gastroenterological support, gets blown off by the staff in that manner, I'll be much better off in the care of another doctor. read more

I've been seeing Dr Naglieri and PA Debbie as my primary care doctorsfor nearly 5 years. They are both excellent practitioners who take an extra two minutes to listen, where previous doctors I've been have felt like they didn't even get half the facts I thought might be relevant., Though I'm not a terribly frequent visitor, I feel greeted almost as a friend when they walk through the door. Wait times are generally shorter than I've found at other practices, and they can generally get me in quickly when I need it. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Naglieri since 2006. In 2014, I also started seeing PA Boettner since the practice was becoming more successful and found I could get in sooner. The medical staff has always treated me with professionalism and respect. I've always been made to feel as if I was part of a family and never felt like I was just a medical file. I can't say enough good things about the care I receive. The new location is not my favorite, prefer the old one by River Place, but I'm not gonna complain. I'm so so thankful for Dr. Naglieri and the crew at River Hills Family medicine! Dr. Naglieri discovered that I had a few hormone imbalances - once I got everything balanced, it was life changing. My sleep, energy, and mood did a total 180! I don't think most doctors would have treated my sub clinical hypothyroid, but man I'm so glad she did because I felt SO much better. Disappointed!! I've had a really hard time getting anyone to call me back. For days I've tried to have my prescription refilled, but alas tomorrow I will wake up and not be able to take my medication because the office staff has not responded to several phone calls from me and the pharmacy. When the nurse called with test results from my ultrasound that were abnormal she was very short and had nothing to offer other than I should check with "a specialist". I have been a patient here for a while. While I appreciate people's opinions and views, I did not like Dr. Lori Naglieri asking me if I prayed regularly and am a believer of God. I found this very offensive and she suggested I use it as a way to survive troubling times as she had done in the past. I've about had it with these people. They have an absurdly long turnaround time on responding to pharmacy refill requests, assuming that they respond at all. I'm wondering what happens when someone doesn't get their heart medication on time and ends of keeling over from cardiac arrest... Do they take responsibility for that? I am incredibly disappointed in the service that I have received from River Hills Family Medicine and would never recommend it to anyone that I know. I had an extenuating circumstance with a medicine prescribed for ADHD and did not feel like your office as a whole acted as an advocate to help me meet my needs. Mind you, it is DANGEROUS and NEGLIGENT to force a patient to go cold turkey on any medicine that they regularly take. In addition, it is appalling that a nurse would then proceed to tell the patient to "bear with it" (in reference to the withdrawal symptoms) and to then have the receptionist interrupt you repeatedly on a phone call when you are voicing your displeasure. My complaint will be further levied to the Medical review board. read more

My husband has never had a great experience with this office and has finally moved on. I personally have spoken to a rude nurse on the phone and they are in no hurry to return calls or emails. I love Dr. Naglieri but the people who work with her are seriously incompetent. If you ever need anything from them or questions answered, do NOT under any circumstance think that leaving a message or a voicemail will be sufficient. I'm toying with the possibility that they have a malfunction in their voicemail system however that's just the optimist in me. Even when they claim they will call you back, not likely to happen. Call and call and call again until you get a real live human on the phone, but if it's the front desk you have about a 20% chance of that message being passed along. read more

Customer service wise- getting someone on the phone to answer a question about a script or a test result? They get an F , Waiting in the reception area they get a B+, spending time with you when you are in the exam room, my only experience is with the PA and she is decent (Debbie). I went to Dr. Lori Naglieri for my broken foot. She was 30 minutes late to the appointment and spent only 2 minutes with me touching it and asking if it hurt before she sent me somewhere else for x rays. Before leaving I made sure to ask if she wanted my old x rays for reference and she declined to look at them. She then calls me back later and says "there's no sign of a healing fracture..." and "Looks like you just have 2 bones there" [where there is normally 1] **insert 'are you dumb?' look here**. then proceeds to tell me I need to send them my previous x rays..... 3 days later I haven't heard back from her to know how my foot is healing. I finally call her and cant seem to talk to a human so I leave a voice mail. Turns out they didn't have my x rays she ordered and never even looked at them or the previous one she requested I send in. Moral of the story - don't bother. read more

It's unfortunate to have to write this post. At one time this practice was helpful due to the proximity and location to our neighborhood. The providers are actually helpful and pleasant but the front office manager Dori DuCharme is on a pathetic power trip, she's rude, insecure, petty and actually lied to my face about a discussion she had with a family member that I over heard due to being on speaker. Clearly she did not know I was listening. While Nagliere was not part of this incident, she does own this problem. Nagliere is focused on expanding her practice and leaving Dori in charge. Letting someone like that represent you is an absolute choice and a reflection on you as the lead provider. The rest of the front office ladies do appear to want to help and be friendly but are obviously scared of dealing with the backlash of that mouthy, pushy and sadly unintelligent manager and it's no wonder that operations have declined under her management. She is one of those personalities that is used to getting their way because people just move on and don't challenge her errors because they don't think it's worth dealing with her nonsense. This is the only negative comment I have ever made regarding a doctor's office, but we have referred many people to this practice in the past and will now go out of my way to let them all know how down hill it has gone, which again is a shame due to proximity. There are too many other good providers in the area to deal with that drama and nonsense. As a side note, the dentist next door is outstanding, clearly management and engagement of providers there are completely different that those of Naglieri and the type of manager she wants in place. read more

I love Dr. Naglieri and her entire staff. They all remember you by name and see you as a person and not a name on a file. I have never had any problems with prescription refills or getting someone on the phone to answer a question or call me back. I have always been able to get appointments when I need them. Everyone there is so friendly and completely attentive to your needs. My family. And I have been patients with Dr. Naglieri for 11+ years. There was no question when she opened her own practice that we were following her to the new location. Unless it is a dire emergency River Hills is the only place I will go. Unprofessional practice. My kids come here every summer for annual physical as a requirement of playing sports in school. Last year we went and they coded the visit as "Office visit" instead of annual physical, causing my insurance to not cover it. Then this year, we called week ahead to schedule an appointment for immunization shot for college, the person happily scheduled it and saying everything looked fine for us to come in for the shot. When we came in, they then said they couldn't give immunization shot without a physical within a year. We said we did have one with them just 9 month ago (where they charged us as "office visit"), they then said, that wasn't a real physical, it was a "sports physical".. if this was true, why was this not not mentioned when making the appointment?!! we could then make the appointment for a physical plus immunization? we took time off to come in only to get turned around. why make it so difficult just to get a immunization shot? cross the street HEB pharmacy has walk in immunization shot right there. we will never come here again. read more
