I cannot recommend Lori highly enough! When it was time to find the *ever* important photographer I looked at a lot of different people. Our wedding was at Murrieta's Well and Lori was one of several preferred photographers. I contacted her and a few others, but I was truly impressed with her photographs. She got back to me right away! And she was very upfront about pricing. She suggested we meet at her studio in Alamo. The moment I met her in person and saw her portfolio, I knew she had to be our photographer. She is so warm, and such a romantic! You can tell her passion for her job. She has tons of experience and it shows!! We met with her one other time before the big day to plan the shots we wanted. She was always quick to reply to my many emails. Once the wedding was here she and her 2nd photographer were on time and on task. They captured over 700 amazing pictures from the day. They took so many shots but were very unobtrusive. They did a great job capturing what is the best day of our lives! She also created an album for us, and it is phenomenal! A great variety of shots in color, black and white and sepia. I love it and it truly captures our day perfectly. I would tell any bride to not hesitate in the slightest when hiring Lori! Lori was great to work with! She photographed our engagement session and our wedding day. We wanted a simple engagement session, and Lori made it very enjoyable for us. We took the opportunity and turned it into a little outing for our family. She also included our son in the shoot, so he wouldn't feel left out, which he loved. Even with the many inquiries and changes, Lori was very patient and accommodating, and worked with me to incorporate all of them, one of which was to take a photo of my extended family which included about 40 people! On our wedding day, Lori arrived a little earlier than expected and got straight to work. She also had an assistant with her, which worked out very nicely as they were able to capture every moment. I loved that they took shots from different angles, some of which I liked better where we're not looking directly at the camera. I also loved that Lori was able to make our proofs available to us so quickly. Our engagement photos were ready within 2 days and our wedding photos were available after only 9 days! We hired Lori to do our wedding in September 2011. We had several close friends of ours recommend her, and we really were pleased with everything. From our 1st meeting, to my thousands of emails filled with questions, Lori was very professional and eager to help with everything. Our wedding day came and went faster than I could imagine, and thank goodness we had such a great photographer to record it all! Lori had me tell her every shot I wanted, and she didn't miss one. She was great at directing us as well as our wedding party of 14! She kept everyone in line, and we knocked out all our pictures and were able to get back to our guests within 30 minutes. That does sound fast, but she wasn't rushing at all, again, she got every picture/pose we had asked for, plus more that were her idea. We got the package that included a photo album, and once she had it finished for us, it was beyond my expectations. It was so beautiful, it was flawless. As we began to plan our May 2013 wedding at Murrieta's Well in Livermore, we considered several photographers who had photographed wedding there. All of their portfolios were impressive, but once we met Lori, we knew we had to go with her. She is warm, friendly,and organized. Moreover, she tries to tell a story through her photography, starting with a series of photos of the bridal couple in reflective moments. She made the process easy as we drafted a timeline for the three to four hour shoot. All of our family members knew where they had to be and when. Adding to the fun was a second photographer, who captured all the key activities from a different perspective. She worked well with Lori, who led the shoot with a calm but determined manner. Last but not least, the final product is just stunning. She made everyone feel comfortable and that leads to easy smiles and an enjoyable time. I highly recommend Lori Rittinger. Her work at our wedding leads me to think that she can handle any photographic assignment. And after 700 weddings, she still isn't jaded but conversely utterly engaged in making your day shine. Lori did the photography for our wedding and we cannot say enough about what a great job she did. The process was easy and contributed to the happiness of the occasion. Lori's quoting and contracting process are easy and clear. She asks about your event and what you are expecting from your photography. She asks very specific questions about timing and specific pictures that you want. This was very helpful in arranging the day and making sure everyone knew where and when they needed to be somewhere. Best of all the pictures were terrific. We wanted virtually every picture and ordered a much bigger album as a result. When we took a look at Lori's wedding portfolios on line, we were convinced that she was just the right photographer for us. She clearly had an eye in capturing the beauty and energy that a wedding event really is. If there were 10 stars to award to anyone, Lori would be the first we'd say really earns that rating. When I first contacted Lori, it was only 6 months before our event. But she was available. She quickly outlined her services, sent us the necessary detail and contract, and led us through the entire process -- from start to finish. She kept us on time and on budget for everything. Our event was a bit unique in that it did not include the ceremony, so Lori designed the photography session around that. She had previewed the venue in advance so she knew exactly where to take the group photos, and then "floated" very inconspicuously throughout the cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and cake-cutting, taking a wide variety of photos -- of people, places, and things. Lori is amazingly organized, and a true professional. She asked us a number of questions -- from how long we'd want her services, to the attire that would be worn. and to who the friends and family members were so that she could be sure to capture them all in both the posed and candid photos. She caught all the details as well as the ambience of the event flawlessly, resulting in hundreds of gorgeous photos. There were so many beautiful photos that it became difficult to choose which ones we wanted to have included in our photo album. We have previewed the album (which is now being produced) and it is gorgeous! It really reflects the joy and happiness of the day. When we had questions, Lori was always reachable, responded quickly and to the point,was precise but thorough, and went far beyond what we expected. She also communicated very effectively throughout every step of the process. Not only was Lori extremely professional in all her dealings with us, she was also a pleasure to work with. Lori photographed our October 2010 wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. My husband and I spoke with several photographers, and Lori's professionalism, creative eye, and expertise were immediately apparent at our first meeting, and thus it was a quick decision for us. We had a small wedding at Wente in Sept 2019 and I booked Lori as the photographer. This was my second wedding and I wasn't terribly happy with the photography the first time around. Lori was very professional in spending time to understand why type of wedding I was planning and what type of photography I envisioned, as well as what groupings needed to be considered. I can't get over how gorgeous the photos are--so much so, that it's really hard to choose my 'favorites'. She captured the essence and beauty of the day. I look back at the photos and think--wow, I wasn't aware of her getting that 'angle'! That tells me two things: 1) she was very elusive, but captured the special moments; and 2) I was in the moment and unaware of anything but my groom! Lori is absolutely amazing and gave us the most beautiful photos of our wedding! She's so easy to work with, and even helped us put together a schedule for the wedding day that helped everything flow well. I'd heard horror stories from friends who spent so much time doing photos after the ceremony that they missed a good part of their reception, so I was a little skeptical when Lori said she could have our photos done and us into the reception in about 20 minutes. She was totally right, and they're beautiful! We did our "separate" photos before the ceremony: each of us alone in several locations, with our attendants, with our parents, etc. Knocking these out early during the dead time before the wedding made getting the rest of the joint family photos easy and painless, and left us plenty of time after to take pictures of the two of us. Lori has a great eye for photography and knew all the best spots at Heather Farms to take our photos together. She took the perfect mix of artsy photos, candids, and a few posed photos. We took so many pictures, and still were in to our reception in time to mingle before dinner started! That wasn't the end though; she kept taking photos all evening long, and also spirited us outside for a few more couples photos at sunset when the light was just perfect. A HUGE shout out to her second photographer, Ashley, too! Ashley wasn't afraid to do what it took to get the perfect picture, whether it be laying on the ground, standing in a bush that was in the way, or sneaking around behind you. My dad was determined to hide from the camera after we finished taking the family photos, so while Lori was taking photos of us, Ashley casually managed to catch the perfect candid of him sitting on a park bench with all kinds of flowers behind it. It's one of my favorite photos, and he didn't even know she took it until he saw it later! Lori compiled our photos into a gorgeous wedding album that we love looking through (and didn't mind that it took us forever to pick out our favorite photos because there were so many we loved!). Once we began to do research on local wedding photographers we quickly discovered Lori Rittinger. From the moment we stepped in to her studio, where we could see all the beautiful displays of her amazing talent, I felt she was the one for us. Lori is so personable, kind and just so down-to-earth.
