I like shiny, nice things. Unfortunately, and I'm not sure why, this place left me feeling far from happy. All I wanted was to peruse their watches, in hopes of finding one that was a good fit for my dad's birthday. Now, I am not an expert but I know a *few* things about watches. I'm also not a person who drapes themselves in obvious name brands, but I know good customer service at "fancy" stores. These folks need to call the Cartier store in Atlanta or Hermes in KoP for some customer service tips. Anyway...walked in and was told we'd have to wait for "one of the guys" to help us. I didn't catch the name of the man who helped us (nor did he offer us a card or anything), but it was obvious he quickly sized us up as "people not worthy of his time." After telling him what we wanted, he pushed an entry model Tag Heuer because "it's part of the big five brands." (I'd love to know what he thought the other four were, but I digress.) I'm not a Tag fan, so he then--despite my saying I'm not a huge watch fan--pushed a gargantuan Tudor. When I inquired about some of their used watches, he just said "oh those are in the thousands" and stared. (Ummm, okay?) So, I asked if they ever got in any other Swiss brands or knew of a vendor--and used Jaeger-LeCoultre as an example. He told me to, wait for it, "look at a department store in town" or "inquire at Bridge Street" which was both comical and insulting given that I was wearing one. And so we left, confused as to why we went in the first place. Practical notes: it's in the same building as a Starbucks and the parking lot is small, so good luck battling every soccer mom and her SUV. Staff will mask up if you are wearing one, which is a good thing (in my book) and they have absolutely zero Rolexes in stock. read more

Loring & Co. is awesome! My husband got my wedding set from Loring, and I returned to purchase his wedding band. Both times we dealt with Jason, the watch specialist. When he and I both went to look for rings, Jason was very informative and helpful in educating us on the difference between the types of settings, metals, and diamonds. This was probably the ninth or tenth store that we had visited, and not once received the type of service we got at Loring. We never felt pressured to buy, which was very important to us. We decided on a setting (Michael B.) and my husband returned to purchase the rings and diamond. He has told me so many times how wonderful Jason was during the whole process. He allowed my husband to take diamonds outside to look in the sunlight, and to see diamonds through the microscopes. He helped my husband pick out the best quality for the price range, and in the end he got some really beautiful rings (in my opinion of course!). After our engagement, I returned a few times for a ring cleaning, and Jason was there every time and remembered us. We also returned to pick out my husband's ring, for which he gave us a discount for being repeat customers (he also gave my husband's parents a discount for some jewelry they purchased). Even though we now live miles away, I intend on using Loring and Jason as our main jeweler for as long as we can. Although they cannot help me with my watch repair I'm still giving them five stars. All of the stuff that I interacted with were very friendly polite courteous and helpful. The shop itself was very clean and well organized and generally pleasant. Since they do not have a watchmaker/ repair person in house, they referred me to another place of business that may be helpful. I am pleased with my visit and will definitely consider coming back when I need a new watch or other jewelry. My fiance and I live in Atlanta, but I used to travel to Huntsville every week to work. I was a regular at the Starbucks off of Airport Road and every time I went in I would glance at the beautiful store next door. One weekend while visiting some friends I mentioned to my boyfriend at the time that I'd always wanted to go in because it looked like such a nice place. Seven months later, much to my surprise he proposed with a beautiful cushion cut stone with a halo setting and pave band and I fell in love with my ring. When I found out he drove all the way to Huntsville I was so shocked, but not surprised. He said after searching high and low in Atlanta (Buckhead, Alpharetta, etc.) he never found as great as a quality, price, or as "sexy of a ring" anywhere else. He raved about Jason and when I drove down to go for a cleaning and to get my stones checked I could see why. Jason has to be one of THE kindest, nicest, personable, caring people ever. Never did I feel like he wasn't genuine and I legit just think that he absolutely loves doing what he does (and Oh- he does it well!) and the people he works with. Since then I've told friends, family and co workers from Georgia to Michigan to Virginia that if they ever need quality, beautiful rings, etc. Loring & Co. is the place to go if they can make it and Jason is the person to see. By far the best retail experience I have ever had!! I have read so many horror stories about Rolex AD's, but Trent and Jason proved them wrong. We made the 2.5 hour trip as soon as Jason called and said my watch was ready at my convenience. Trent and Jason treated me and my family like old friends.
