Going to Lorphen Medical Clinic is the best choice I ever made for myself! Dr.Charles is great at explaining how insulin and weight loss works, he is very nice, informative and motivating! When I first started I had lots of questions to ask of what I can and cant eat, Lidia, Alex & Dr. never failed to answer any of them quickly..It is super easy to loose weight here all you have to do is take a pill one time every morning and follow his meal plan, let me tell you, Ive tried diets before and I always end up starving and giving up, but with this one I was good all the way through.! I got this deal on living social for this weight loss clinic this past December but I wanted to wait till after the New Year to really start the program. Me and my BFF decided to start the program the middle of January. I been slowly losing weight the past 6 months prior to January and was at a stand still. The facility is really nice and the receptionist is as cute as a button and nice as heck. She weighed us in and then we met with the doc. He was a nice guy with a slight Vietnamese accent. Since it was only a slight accent...I was happy since I have selective hearing anyways. :) Anywho.....the first 3 months on the program...I lost about 25 lbs. I write this review in hopes that no one else has an experience like mine. After doing a lot of research I came across this weight loss clinic, I read all the reviews and was super excited to start the program, scheduling an appointment was very easy, customer service was okay but the Dr was very nice. The doctor explained his method but it almost seemed rehearsed not very personable almost as if he's just reading out of his book And wanted to get through the appointment quickly, we spoke for a little over 5 minutes and then he started going over pricing, he took me straight to the front desk receptionist and said they will take over from her. I paid the fee mind you I was just so excited I didn't ask very many questions. Anyways I paid the fee they handed me a sheet that was very minimal (hard to understand since no one explained) then I received 3 months worth of pills and was sent off. They did 1 follow up and 1 appointment after this. Then I did not hear back from them until my 90 days were over about paying more money to continue the program , so today after 4 more months I finally have someone reach out again to sign up... it's extremely frustrating when you pay over $200 and have high expectations because of the reviews to just receive 3 months worth of pills and 1 piece of paper, it felt like a waste of time and money. Please save your money and go to a program willing to help you and communicate what it is that they offer. read more

Excellent all around! I wasn't sure about coming in at first because I'm a vegetarian and I have had unpleasant experiences with doctors before. I emailed them first to get a feel for the doctor. He wrote me back immediately, providing me some very useful information that I had never heard from anyone before (I must add that I am an avid researcher on health, herbs and supplements.) He was very kind and his words were well thought out, not rushed as I had expected. I began the program May 23rd and this is week 9 for me. I have lost 19 pounds and it shows (dropped 4 sizes already!) On my first visit and all appointments thereafter, I was greeted with kindness, smiles, professionalism, encouragement, and have never been rushed or talked down to. All visits have been informative, encouraging, and welcoming. I especially liked that Dr. Nguyen is also a vegetarian and was able to explain to me what I was doing wrong even though I am a very healthy eater. Everything has always made sense and has been easy to understand. Don't think that you have to become a vegetarian because he is, he will not try to convert you :) This is not your typical doctor's office at all. The office is clean, comfortable, pleasant and inviting. The receptionist always greets you with a smile even if she is busy with another patient. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and you will never leave feeling bad even if you hadn't lost weight that week. I even bring my 10 year old son with me and he is allowed to sit in on my appointment and the doctor even speaks to him and gives him encouragement to eat healthier too. I will continue with this way of eating (5 times a day, I might add!) because I have a new way of thinking and looking at food. You will learn the same, as this is the first thing you learn when you come in. And the great part is you get to eat your own food because they don't sell you pre-packaged garbage or push products on you. I purchased a living social deal online for a great deal. I have been attending this clinic for about 7 weeks now and love the results. The office staff is wonderful and always so personable. The Dr. is amazing and has great knowledge of nutrition. This is not a place to run and get a magic pill, this is a place where you make a commitment to become healthy and change your way of eating for good.
