When we first walked in, I was a bit skeptical. I had read the reviews so that's why we came in the first place, but the place was pretty much empty. However, we sat down, ordered, and got our food in a reasonable amount of time. This was surprisingly a great pit stop for our trip because the food did not disappoint! I thought the birria and menudo were both so delicious and flavorful! The chips also came with a special dipping sauce which I thought was very yummy too. After the meal, we even bought $.38 cent Mexican pastries, which were pretty good. This place could easily be passed by as the building is non descript. I called,placed an order and picked it up ten minutes later. Three tacos and a Migas plate for 10.99, pretty good! The tacos were good, the migas was more tortilla than egg, we would come back if in the area. read more

We stop here for some Breakfast tacos and were not disappointed. The chorizo and egg taco was fluffy, the barbacoa was tender and not to greasy and the potato and egg taco had crispy chunks of potatoes fluffy egg. Combined with a Mexican Coke was delicious and satisfying. read more

Wow! Fabulous authentic Mexican food. I had street tacos...one chicken, one beef fajita and one al pastor. Homemade corn tortillas...soooo yummy! I was with a Mexican friend who was able to order what I wanted. The menu has English underneath the Spanish but I still had a hard time figuring out exactly what to order. My first time at this restaurant was not bad! The reviews almost made me not want to check it out, but I'm glad I did. I've been very spoiled by Mexican food in Houston, so it has been very hard for me to find food that compares. I had the huevos rancheros, which were at a great price. Even after adding a dollar for ordering after 11, they were less than $5! Score! Upon receiving my order, I will not lie, I was a bit disappointed, as the plate did not look like what I'm used to. But, it's true what they say, don't judge a book by its cover! It was delicious! The potatoes could have used a bit more seasoning and less oil, but overall, the plate itself was great. Even the bacon didn't fail! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the homemade flour tortillas! Delicious! My dad had the parrillada mixta- he enjoyed it and cleared his plate. My mom and brother had the tacos- fair warning, they are tiny, so you might need more tacos than your usual order, but they did enjoy them. My sister had the quesadilla- she said it was "okay." The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because we were the only family at this empty restaurant, and it felt like it took a while to get our order taken. I have to say that this is the worst restaurant I have been to in many years. First off, my wife found a half eaten tortilla under her scrambled eggs. I found small bits of food on and between my corn tortillas. The food was not cooked with any herbs or spices, only a little salt. Nothing had any flavor. The lime they served with my tea was the end that is supposed to be thrown in the trash. The limes for menudo were cut on previous day. The menudo had absolutely no flavor. Spotted their write up in the paper and dropped by for breakfast tacos. No frills but very clean and friendly. Great to have breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas in Nacogdoches (Austin spoiled me!). I picked up two for $1.50 apiece. I believe breakfast tacos with corn are $1 apiece. The menu items from what I've read are all made from scratch in house. Everything on the menu was very economical. Most items were around $5-6 including entire breakfasts. Hope this place makes it! I didn't see address online when adding this business. It's a minute from downtown. I like the food but since the tacos are actually MINI tacos ( thats why thier 99¢) you have to order ten in order to fill your stomach. I would have given five stars but they need to make some changes first. They need to give more than one salsa per table, one for two people just makes a mess. One per person please. They now offer 2 Free Margaritas, mango only I suspect because they didn't ask my preference. I felt I was being pushed to order something to drink other than margarita because she kept asking me if I wanted something else to drink other than margarita. It got annoying.
