34oz Michelda
Braden W.

I dont get to come here often since i am from out of town but even years apart everything was great about our visit. First the giant micheleda here is outstanding. I have never had one anywhere else when they put as much effort into to it as this one. The tamarind stick to go along with the drink is awesome. Sometimes its about the little things and the drink looks picture perfect! Besides that i had gotten my wife a bananna and then peach margarita. Both were great and tasted smooth. ( blended of course for that type of flavor ) We also ordered of the super nachoes and an extra side of refried beans. Loved them both and the beans were smooth with a dash of melted cheese on top. The bar tender was friendly and they all were busting their butts making up these huge margaritas for everyone. Cant wait for another trip back.

Why he get lemon when he asked for no lemon

Why is it that I got a small menu the size of my hand, I had to ask for a full sized menu that had salsa in the menu book, slow to come take our order, I also don't like the straws, felt rushed when ordering, my brother ordered a water with NO LEMON he got a lemon, ordered a medium Steak was well done so as my brother, asked up if we were doing well 1 time, told him I wasn't and he chuckled.

Street Tacos

Apparently this place is the best Mexican restaurant in the Quad cities, so coming here I came in with a lot of expectations. If yall don't know, my favorite Mexican food is al pastor tacos. While few have it as their menu items, many do not and this place was one of them. Unfortunately, that meant I had to order something else. As a huge taco fan, I noticed the street tacos and since it sounded good I thought I would try it out. They have 2 meat options: steak and chicken. I opted for steak. The street tacos come with 4 tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro, onions, and cheese. It also comes with a grilled banana pepper stuffed with cheese, an onion, and 2 sauces (green is mild, and red is hot). Both sauces were so good, and fitting with the tacos obviously. I like my tacos saucy and limey, so definitely a plus there. I also ordered the mixed fajitas which came with steak and chicken with fajita veggies (including tomatoes). That was also pretty good, and came out sizzling hot. Service was mediocre only because it seemed like our server didn't know much English. I would come back here whenever I'm back in the Quad cities.

I've been visiting this joint with my family for years, but for some reason never reviewed it... Chops and salsa were on the table as we had a group of youngsters arrive ahead of us to secure a table, as we called to make a reservation, but it seems something was lost in translation... Pitcher of margaritas...check! Decided upon the big burrito, but opted for chorizo instead of the regular "chicken or beef" choices... packed with beans, rice, meat..and the pick and guac were on the side. It was coated in a flavorful but thin queso... they even sang to the birthday girl!! Ole! Ambiance is industrial cantina, prices were in line with expectation, and service was prompt and accommodating...

Shredded beef chimichanga....A- Monster margarita....A- Chips & salsa...A Staff...A Environment...A Grabbed lunch with my niece at one her favorite spots. I had dined here previously, so I knew what to expect. The service is good, restaurant clean and they're practicing COVID-19 social distancing. We ordered two of their lunch specials beef fajitas and shredded beef chimichanga. Added a mango monster margarita for FLARE....boy let me tell you that margarita hit the spot. My chimichanga could've been larger for the price & the meat needed more seasoning. However the meal as a whole was delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot to fellow Yelpers.

Small! Margarita.

I have been traveling to Moline / Davenport for work for the past few months to work at John Deere... this place is really good every time I go! I'm writing this review in the middle of dinner rush on a Wednesday. Absolutely amazing team work at this establishment. Food is really good IMO. I have had the tacos and several things from "the grille" section. Absolute hits every time. Chips and salsa as you would expect from a Mexican restaurant but man the salsa is fresh and really tasty! Give it a try sometime I am sure you will not be dissatisfied.

Tomato-ey and a bit sweet salsa for your chips.

What started out positively unfortunately diminished as dinner wound on. That was mostly due to inattentive service. Firstly, what looks like a small storefront in a retail strip center is actually a spacious and attractive restaurant on the inside suitable for dates, business meals, or group gatherings. The place is huge. Staff were friendly; my server was at the table with chips and salsa moments after I sat. However, he was unfamiliar with the evening specials and had check on them. After that, the dinner arrived--it seemed--five minutes after ordering. Then, my server was hardly present. I had to signal for a glass refill to someone who then notified my server, lounging against a wall 20 feet away but out of my view. When the meal was over 10 minutes passed before I saw him again to ask for the check. A separate request after payment was made for the itemized receipt (to satisfy corporate accountants). The menu is large for lunch or dinner with the usual varieties of Tex Mex entrees. My meal was fine. The Texas Fajita was as if the chef cleared out the leftovers--steak, chicken, and shrimp mixed with a variety of vegetables. The steak, though, was chewy and everything benefited from a little salt. Los Agaves is worth a return if there are few local Tex Mex alternatives.

The dog days of summer can be so delicious…read more Driving and exploring all morning and afternoon lead us to needing some food and beer to refresh and recharge our batteries. Emily wanted to check out Five Cities based on their logo containing a dog and liking most of their beer offerings. We dropped in around 1pm to a mostly empty place as there was only one other table. The bartender was beyond friendly and helped us at every step of the way. We ordered our drinks at the bar and took them to a table where we could be alone. Emily started with the Bikini Bottom and I got the Here Kitty Kitty Kitty. Emily's drink came in a pineapple glass and was very strong on the pineapple flavor. Here Kitty Kitty Kitty was just about perfect for an IPA. We ordered a second drink with our food. I stuck with the Kitty and Emily switched to the Crush Tangerine. Next door is Central Standard Craft Burgers & Beer. As we were walking in, I jokingly said it would be funny if the food we order here came from next door. Sure enough, that is exactly what happens. Emily got The Standard Club with coleslaw, and I got the Fire & Smoke burger. I'd say within 10 minutes of our bartender taking our order (which we had to do at the bar), our food was in front of us in these neat little boxes. Once you crack the sticker, heaven is waiting for you inside. My burger came with lightly battered french fries. This style is my favorite, by far. Both Emily and I were in heaven eating our delicious food. From the first bite to the last fry was some of the best food I've had in months, maybe all year. Pair it with the beer and we didn't want to leave. I'd say I would like to try out Central Standard itself and see if the experience is the same there. All in all, we had a blast at Five Cities Brewing. I got a shirt and some (free at the time) stickers in their merch corner. Emily got a koozie and some stickers herself. The shirt I got was a medium and ended up running on the smaller/athletic side. If I can lose about 15 pounds, you'll get to see the fun shirt pop up in a future review as it has a funny saying on the back.

I have eaten here a handful of times over the years. Every time I do, I remember how good the food…read moreis and wonder why I don't eat here more often. It looks like a typical sports bar/restaurant. What sets it apart is the quality of the food. With our most recent visit, we went at an off-peak time between lunch and dinner. The place was relatively empty. Service was timely. For an appetizer, we had fried pickles. These looked like they were cut, battered, and fried in-house and were good. For my entree, I had the Zombie Invasion Burger. They advertise it as possibly the best burger on the planet. I don't know if I would endorse it being the best on the planet, but it's definitely one of the better burgers I have had. It's a gourmet-type burger, pairing sweet with some zing. The fries were standouts as well. They weren't particularly fancy, but they were well seasoned (just salt and pepper) and based on the quality, I am guessing they were cut in-house and fried to order. My wife had a Mediterranean salad, which she liked. I did not try any of it, but I have had a salad there before (Plantation Salad) and thought it was pretty darned good. For dessert, I had the cheesecake. This was good. It wasn't necessarily great, but I left happy. Overall, the food here is really good and the prices are appropriate.

Do not go. Waste of money. Group of 6 and all of us were disappointed. Never will returnread more
