Not bad. Restaurant gives me the feeling it was pirate themed at one point with some of the decor and paint colors chosen. Overall service was very good. Portions are generous. Waiters/waitresses are attentive, bring chips and salsa if you choose to dine in. Food was a bit on the greasy side, but good value for price. Seeing drink specials advertised all over the place, I imagine this place gets busy during happy hour. We tried the fajitas, a wet burrito, and some fish tacos. As I mentioned price point was very good for how much food you're getting. The fish tacos were pretty minimal, a bit greasy but I enjoyed them with the green and brown salsas. Fajitas were huge. Easily could've split between two or three people. Lastly, the burrito was pretty big as well. In general, I'm not particularly a fan of "wet" style burritos, but wife was satisfied with it. It'd be nice if they served breakfast items all day long, as I was eyeing the breakfast burrito. Anyhow, that's all I got on this one. 'Til next time, cheers!

The food was delicious, the fish was juicy & fried. The salad that came with the entree was yummy! with the rice. The chips & salsa was good also. The service was great, the waiter was super attentive & friendly. The ambiance was beautiful, the colors that spread through out the restaurant & old pictures on the wall.

One of my favorite places to eat Mexican food as a Mexican myself. The carnitas are always so soft, juicy and delicious . Waiters are very attentive, and the atmosphere is always so much fun, especially when they have people singing and playing music around the restaurant

    Beautiful L.

I've been to Los Portales a couple of times now since I moved to the QC area. The environment is very beautiful. The colors are vibrant and the music is on point. Everyone is nice and friendly. I've tried their shrimp fajitas, which were delicious. This last time I went I had garlic shrimp and it was lacking flavor, it seemed as though they sauteed the shrimp and threw minced garlic all over them, it was very sad to see my plate when it was brought, I would suggest that at least simmer down the garlic so it doesn't look like minced garlic was just poured over the shrimp. I did however have a delicious michelada, I will go back and try a different plate. I have not given up on the place just yet.

Mexican food at its finest. Adult drinks are defeated by any other restaurant. Hands down.

Cozy venue, cool vibes, and killer live music…read more The Raccoon Motel is one of those places that just gets it right. Tucked into downtown Davenport, it's a small, quirky venue that punches above its weight when it comes to live music. The room is intimate--perfect for catching up-and-coming bands or stripped-down acoustic sets that feel personal and raw. The vibe is chill and eclectic, with fun decor and a layout that makes even a packed show feel like a private experience. You're close to the stage no matter where you are, and the sound quality is surprisingly solid for the size. Drinks are fairly priced, and the bar has a good mix of local beers, cocktails, and whiskey. Staff is super friendly and clearly passionate about the music scene. There's no food served here, but it's easy to grab a bite at one of the nearby downtown spots before the show. Seating is limited, so get there early if you want a booth or a good standing spot. If you're into live music without the big-venue hassle, The Raccoon Motel is absolutely worth a visit. Cool crowd, cool bands, cool bar.

It wasn't crowded and while the artist (Jason Eady) deserved a larger crowd, I absolutely love it when not many people show up to see an outstanding musician because it makes for an intimate show -- and this was. Definitely would go back!
