The hubby's second visit today for further testing. All the tests took about 3 hrs...... omg it's a lot but needs to be done. Testing requires No meds and has to be fasting / but his diabetic and it was ok to take his meds with the smallest amount of water. 1st echocardiogram, or "echo", is a scan used to look at the heart and nearby blood vessels. It's a type of ultrasound scan. 2nd nuclear stress tests, one is able to obtain perfusion images of the heart muscle and therefore get an idea if blocked heart vessels may be present 3rd A cardiac stress test is a cardiological examination that evaluates the cardiovascular system's response to external stress Lastly: He needs to wear a heart holter monitor more intensely for a week. This one is called a Spider mobile cardiac telemetry monitor. Via electrodes worn on your chest, the heart monitor automatically captures and transmits irregular heartbeats, whether or not you are feeling any symptoms. Ive had it with these people. I had to wait six hours, just to make an appointment. Waiting six hours is insulting as hell. All I needed was a prescription, to be honored. I had one more prescription for a non controlled substance. To be number ten or eleven in line, is frustrating, counterproductive and insulting. I went to an urgent care, got my script, which my Dr, Dr. Glovaci refused to honor, although I had one more refill. I am going back to CARDIOVASCULAR CARE OF LOS ALAMITOS, where you can ACTUALLY GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE, without the INSULTING SIX HOUR WAIT. read more

I have been going here for my heart now for several months and had an electrical cardioversion performed by Dr Witter which got rid of my A-Fib. Dr Witter is great !! He has an excellent "bedside" manner and I am completely satisfied with my care he has provide. Highly recommended. read more

I had an awesome experience with Los Alamitos Cardiovascular. I came in looking to have the vascular ablasion procedure and met with Dr. Forman. Although you have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment, once the ball was rolling, everything went very efficiently. I never waited more than five minutes for an appointment. This is a very well run office. The procedure was done without complications. It was an outpatient procedure and it was done in less than an hour. They even went out of their way to schedule all the appointments by the end of the year, so it would be completely covered by insurance (I have a high deductible plan) read more

I unfortunately have to reduce my previous rating of this facility. I should have known that the ultimate motive for these medical providers is how much $$$ they can get from patients, under the guise that "they care." After my echocardiogram was completed, I came in a couple of weeks later to discuss the results with Dr. Forman. He was really pushing me to have bypass surgery, even though my life was not in any immediate danger and I felt no adverse symptoms (no chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.). When I asked the doctor if getting surgery would prevent me from another heart attack, he said no. I thought, isn't that the goal of a so-called treatment? Especially a very expensive and potentially dangerous one like open-heart surgery. :-O I asked him a few more questions. He, of course, kept pushing for the surgery and I kept pushing back. When it seemed apparent that I was not going along with his "treatment" plan, he just gathered up his paperwork and wireless device, told me to keep taking my medications, and left the room. No mention of follow-up appointments or testing AT ALL. I figured I was discharged from this facility when I received closing statements in the mail from them for my co-pays. That alone told me that Dr. Forman was a coward for not having the integrity and fortitude to tell me directly that I was being discharged. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend going to this medical office for cardiovascular issues. It always helps to do your research first. There are many good cardiologists out there--just not here. read more

Where to even start on how amazing the doctors at Los Alamitos Cardiovascular are. I'll start with Dr. Glovaci. I came to her in September of 2022 because I had been having PVC's in my Apple Watch EKG. I brought print outs of them and she reviewed them all my first visit and scheduled me for an echo, but reassured me that given my age and lack of symptoms it was probably stress related. Boy were we so wrong. My echo comes back with a depressed EF and Dr. Glovaci wasted no time scheduling me for more testing, getting me on the proper meds and following up diligently. After a few more tests it appeared my EF was coming back up to normal as the medications were suppressing my PVC's. Dr. Glovaci was always upfront about my medical management possibly needing to include an ablation and the necessity of my treatment being more aggressive then most due to my young age. After my medications began to fail to suppress the PVC's she referred me in house to Dr. Brar for a consult for possible ablation. Dr. Brar was also an amazing doctor who agreed my treatment plan should be more aggressive. She scheduled follow up testing, which showed my EF had again declined and the PVC's I was having were multifocal. When I went for my follow up she let me know she was going to refer me to higher level of care at UCLA with a specialist on my condition. Being in the medical field myself, it's rare to see a doctor be so humble yet maintaining the aggressiveness in care. I appreciated the fact that she wanted what was going to be best for me and my care. I followed up with the specialist at UCLA and was scheduled for a high risk ablation, and Dr. Brar was invited to the procedure as well by my new EP, but I was unsure if she was able to attend. The day of my procedure came and in walks Dr. Brar to check on me before my procedure. I was so emotional because I felt so safe having her there, knowing I was in the absolute best hands I could be in between her and my secondary EP. I'm 2 days post procedure, and I can't express how grateful I am for both Dr. Glovaci and Dr. Brar for taking me serious from the start, even though I was asymptomatic and otherwise young and healthy and being so aggressive with my care. I would send everyone I know to them. read more

hate giving bad reviews. But stay away from this place. In February 2021 I noticed some heart palpitations. I immediately made an appointment with my general doctor who referred me here. I called and they didn't have an appointment until March for the consult. So I turn out for the consult. I need some tests done which they didn't have an appt until May 18th!!! So I took that appt.When they took my appt for May 18th for the tests they told me you can come back in one week for a follow up. So I made that appt as well, which was scheduled for May 25th. I just got a call and the tests results take 2 weeks so they can't see me. But get this they don't have an appt until June 24th!!!!!!!! The lady said it takes two weeks to get test results back and that my doctor was booked & next available was June 24th. Well if you knew thats the tests took two weeks to get back, why did you schedule me a week later for results?? They could have rescheduled me two weeks out. But no I have to wait another month just to get my results???? I am so disappointed!!!Stay away guys!!! read more

I'm a new patient here but I have had great service so far. Safety precautions are taken as soon as you arrive such as a covid screening & temperature checks. I had the sweetest echo tech named Maryann and she was a pleasure through my whole exam. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me. I am seeing Dr. Brar and so far it has been a pleasure. She seems very knowledgeable and I feel like she really cares and took her time with me throughout my whole appointment. Great care from Dr. Forman. Disappointed in the office administration. There seems to be a disconnect between the what the doctors see as meeting a patient's need and what the appointment/schedulers see. For the second time in a row I have received impersonal undated letters stating "you currently have an appointment that unfortunately need to be rescheduled" The letter didn't even tell me the date of my appointment as a courtesy. The first time it was to be my first visit with Dr. Forman following my bypass and the schedulers wanted my to push it out TWO Months! I was able to get Dr. Forman involved and he actually saw me a day earlier. I have never received a call from their office offering to help reschedule. If I could give ZERO stars that would be a better rating. Never have I dealt with so much ineptitude and basic lack of basic decency of a patients time. This office has Zero accountability for wasting my time when a test was incorrectly scheduled and had a rude, obnoxious nurse try to force nuclear material into my body without my consent or knowledge. RUN far away from this horrible place! After waiting 30 to be called up on, I was met by the administering nurse who walked me into her room and ordered me to SIT DOWN! , at this point I notice we are in a nuclear medicine room, I informed her that my test was a treadmill test only, she then left the room, only to return with an injection vile of nuclear material and demanded I get out of HER chair and sit in an injection chair. I insisted that was not the procedure I was here for, got up and left! I found a manager at the check out desk and informed her of the debacle, only to get the "im so sorry" reply only to appease me since I was highly agitated at this point. The manager then acknowledged my phone call to their nurse several weeks back to adjust and confirm the test that was to be administered.... I was done at this point, forcing radioactive material and adrenaline that could potentially induce a heart attack is not my idea of good patient care! read more

Dr. Lee is a kind, caring and compassionate physician! When he heard my Mom (his patient) had been admitted to Los Alamitos Hospital he skipped his lunch and came over to check on her. While he was there she went into cardiac arrest and Dr. Lee heroically revived her and arranged for an emergency pace-maker to be installed. Although Mom is 89--we weren't ready to lose her! Dr. Lee treated her so patiently and with such care and he explained everything clearly to us in layman's terms. We love him and highly recommend him! read more

I came here because I thought this was Quest Diagnostics, like it was the last time I was here. Unbeknownst to me I was not aware of this. First thing I noticed was the parking lot in the front is all blocked off and now you have to pay after the first 20 mins. So I'm already pissed off as parking can be challenging there in the first place. When I arrive in the office, I don't see any signs that say Quest, so I ask the receptionist if this was still Quest. She responds by somewhat grunting and pointing at the sign in sheet on the left. After about 10 minutes, my name is called and I am asked how they can help me. I respond by saying that I was there to have blood drawn and I asked again if this was Quest. She responded by saying no, this is West Pacific Lab. Why the First Lady did not tell me this at the time baffles me. So this lady asks me what insurance I have and I tell her it's a PPO. She then asks me for my Doctors number so she can call for the order to which I tell her I don't know. She asks me to write the name of the Doctor so she can look it up and then disappears. I look through my phone and manage to find the doctors number so I go back to the counter and wait for her. The whole time I am waiting, the 2 other receptionists that were sitting there gossiping about nothing did not once ask me if they could help. Finally after standing there for 10 mins. Another lady in the back looks around and asks if anybody has helped me. I respond by saying no and then she proceeds to turn around and continue with whatever she was doing. I mean why would you ask me if you weren't going to do anything about it!!! The other lady finally comes back and I ask her if she found the number and she replies I'm going to look for it now. What I thought she had gone to do for 15 mins turns out it wasn't looking for my Doctors number. This is poor, poor customer service. Why the hell would you so blatantly ignore the customers here?? I wasn't a big fan of Quest, but these idiots make them look pretty professional right now. read more
