My wife had surgery scheduled here today and was told to arrive at a certain time. Keep in mind she hadn't had any food or water for last 12 hours . She waited over an hour until they took her back. The waiting room had no tables or tv on or anything to.do while waiting for love ones to awake from surgery. I ordered door dash because I wanted to be here in case I was needed . When I got my food I used another empty chair as a table to set food on to eat. Then a very rude lady explained I couldn't use chair as table. Then I proceeded to eat for about 5 min and then She decided to tell me that you couldn't eat in lobby (no signs saying this ) . After eating my meal on the steps outside in the rain and came back in, her and other staff were trying to print a no eating sign by front desk. Very cold and poor attitude that was in called for. read more

Nurses and front desk are awful. They gossip constantly. They are loud and are not comforting to patients. I had surgery here twice and have never had a good experience. Was sent home with 0 instructions on after care and never received a call. 0 stars read more

My mom's surgery here went great so i took my dad here as well . No complaint to the doctor, he is amazing and as well as MOST staff . My main complaint is against the receptionist. She was an older Caucasian women and was disrespectful to me. The waiting room didn't even have other patients waiting, so why the attitude? Thank goodness this is my father's last surgery, I wouldn't want to come here again and would go to another surgery center where the doctor operates. read more

I was contemplating on writing this, but my dad had surgery this past week and I was waiting for him on the third floor. Surgery overall went well and the first floor staff was amazing. One thing I didn't like was when I waited on the third floor, an older Caucasian lady was cussing and yelling the entire time. She was also informed by a younger woman at the window to stop cussing and still did it the entire time I was up there. It was incredibly unpleasant to hear and I just found it unprofessional. It got to the point they shut the window until I went downstairs. Please do better!!! read more

I'm glad I made it out of there to be honest! Once I got in the bed tye people were nice, but before was not professional at all and I can't recommend (and will avoid in the future) using this surgery center Completely unorganized, having patients go up and downstairs to wait. It feels like an office unit, NOT a surgery center. I checked in at time they asked me yo arrive. After 2 hours waiting in the lobby(s) still, 30 minutes past my surgery start time, they hadn't even checked me in to a prep room. I asked to go walk outside but they said NO, that I'm next and if I'm not here they'll give my room to someone else! So rude. Especially this woman Melissa. She must be having a very stressful day because she was very snappy in the front office and the room could feel the tension. (Granted I can empathize! But still not good). I heard the nurses and personnel ordering pizza and laughing and talking loud in the back as I waited with no food or water since yesterday. They could not even tell me when my surgery might start (after 3 hours there), just that I'm next. It sounded so chaotic i debated whether to leave and cancel the whole surgery. Nearly 3 hours after arrival, no IV yet. Laying in bed (no gown or anything like the last surgery center). However they were nice once I got in. IV in ok after callling another nurse to adjust it because it hurt so much. Meanwhile I'm seeing and gearing other patients and nurse moan, grown, shake and struggle. No curtains drawn. Quite disturbing. Surgery I think went well but my friend giving me a ride had to wait standby an extra 2 hours to even know when to pick me up. read more

I had a screw removed from my MCL surgery and it was performed here, everything went well. I got the explination of benefits from the surgery and they sent me home with Circul8 cuff to prevent blood clotting at the expense of $4250 I looked for price of this device and the pair are around $120 retail through any medical supplier. I called to speak with billing and the said I have to email Jeanne or someone and gave me their email. Welp 4 weeks and 3 emails later no reply. All I can say is watch out for their billing shit seems wild. If their employees would answer simple emails regarding what was supplied it would be a huge help. read more

This is a review more for my billing and post surgery experience. The doctor who did my arthroscopic surgery for my shoulder did a wonderful job. Now the frustrating part is apparently someone was supposed to collect my portion of the bill BEFORE the surgery. However they only asked for 10% which I paid no problem. Now I have a woman calling me frequently trying to get my remaining balance, yet she told me herself that I have 6 months from the surgery date to pay. Then I get a letter in the mail recently stating that my account is 30 days past due. Which is funny since my deadline isn't til April 10th according to the staff member in accounting who manages all these bills. Just because someone screwed up before the doctors stepped in and fixed me, is not my problem. You'll get your money and you'll get it by the deadline I was given. read more

I had knee surgery yesterday at Los Alamitos Surgery Center. Because of COVID, I was not allowed to have anybody come in with me and I was a little anxious. Nurse Joey and nurse Wanda were awesome! They made me feel so comfortable and we had a great time talking about Netflix. This is my second surgery at LASC and the whole staff is incredible! read more

Five stars five stars five stars and if I could give ten I would I had my surgery on 3/1 and the staff here was amazing . Dr T was my Anesthesiologist and he made me feel so comfortable and had such a great personality . My nurse was Valerie and she was so sweet and.I really really like to thank Katie for making me smile and keeping my spirts high my recovery was rough and her and Wanda stood by my side making me laugh and cleaning my makeup off my face . Instead of the Surgi Center at St. Mary's Medical Center, this summer I had my procedure done here, a Steroid epidural after almost two years for my lower back. That's pretty good since two years have gone by; amazing what eating healthier, Juice Plus, losing 45 pounds, replacing a hip over a year ago, 5-6mile walks a night, stretching and proper body mechanics when bending & lifting will do for you. =============================================================== The staff here are much very laid back, they have a sense of humor that puts you at ease and, I was late fining this place but, they were still cordial; I was the last procedure of the day so they let me get out sooner too instead of all that checking my vitals etc. every 30 minutes. Clean, up to date equipment and I must say Dr. Daugherty (my Pain Management MD) likes to work here better than the other place too, he just seemed more at home. The paperwork is minimal if you are a newcomer (like at a 12 step meeting except you don't get a Newcomer's Chip!) I like this place as I do most surgi-centers, procedures that just 10 years ago that would have you staying overnight, those days are gone, ie., cataracts, epidurals, my upcoming Rectal Cancer Surgery (yes, that will be done here), pretty much anything on a minimal non-invasive scale is done here and, this cuts costs, which in turn means less monies from insurance, which keeps rates down-Cost effective, without causing the patient any concerns and preventing in hospital stays is a great thing! However, I did get a bill of what my insurance did not pay, but it was $38 and, I didn't contest it; in some facilities a first time procedure is not always covered; walking pain free is worth $38 out of my wallet thank you very much. My cred too in this review is as a PA-C, I know what to look for as in flaws and, I found none as this is a well run systematic dichotomy of professionals, RNS, X-Ray technicians, CORTS, PA-CS, MD, Anesthesiologists, Nurse Anesthetists etc., who are to be commended for being here from 5 A.M. until 4-5 P.M. M-F; I know, I worked in the OR and those hours wear you down. I'm looking forward for the 5 Star treatment again on my next procedure which will be before Christmas or after, and find comfort that this group of professionals will have me in better hands than Allstate. Find peace of mind here, cast you worries aside, enjoy the ride (with Milk of Amnesia) to recovery and get well sooner all in one place. Got a septic knee infection following surgery here. When I asked my surgeon what he thought caused it, he replied that it may have been contaminated sutures. If their website still claims 0% infection rate, it's a lie. I'm lucky to be alive! read more

The friendly nurses and staff CONTINUALLY MONITORS your needs. .All precautions are taken care of to make sure the procedure is properly set up. The ANESTHESIOLIGIST met us and thouroughly questioned any condition prior in the medical history.... DR RODRIQUEZ was PERFECT in every way. He showed great care and was always there from start to finish. He never gave up his duties. We were glad to have him in our corner! We were next treated to 2 charming , wonderful and talented nurses. SARAH MLESEN and KATIE KROES. They were fantastic.! They showed such great care and knowledge but more importantly they were ALWAYS SMILING and carried this ATTITUDE always !. We thought they had such heart and soul. We will NEVER FORGET them. Surgery can be a nerve racking experience for the patient and their family. I am so grateful for how kind everyone was here to me and my family. My surgeon, Dr. Aiello, is top notch and I'm glad that he operates so close to his office. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was so chipper (even at such and early hour). It was comforting she was in a routine, no confusion, just a quick check in and I was ready! After I went back, my mom was able to walk across the street for lunch and relax upstairs with coffee and tv in a private waiting area. I was wheeled right out to her car after and the nurse was so careful and sweet. Very grateful a scary experience proved to be no big deal! read more
