Tried Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant and it did not disappoint. The horchata was refreshing and perfectly sweet with that classic cinnamon flavor -- a great drink to go with the meal. The enchiladas were delicious, full of flavor, and covered in a rich sauce that made every bite better than the last. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and authentic. After introducing my family to Los Amigos my son specifically asked for it to be his birthday meal. I think that says alot as he is a picky eater. They serve authentic food and he selected a California style burrito with red sauce and was very happy with it. I enjoy their bowls both healthy and filling. Staff are very nice and helpful. I was incredibly hungry for tacos and it was open so I figured I'd try. I tried both the steak and the shrimp tacos. Each were good, but the salsa they sent didn't tickle my tongue. Ordered via Uber Eats, so I can't say much about the restaurant itself, but the food was surprisingly good. The corn tortillas that came with the tacos tasted like they were home-made. My husband and I love it here- very good food. We live in Hammond and shop here in the area all the time- and having a Mexican night helps break up the long winter or a hot summer night! this place is reminiscent of burrito spots i'd visit in arizona. the burritos are very filling and fairly priced for their size. i got the cali and my husband got the los amigos, both with steak. they were absolutely delicious. we also got some tamales. the chicken green chili was really good and flavorful, but the jalapeño tamales were a little bland, but ok. the horchata was more milky than what i'm used to, if that makes sense, but it wasn't bad and every place has their own take so i'd still recommend trying it. read more

Eeeeeek - Stay far from this place. We decided to dine in based on good reviews. Note that the decision to dine in doesn't come with table service, water or chips and salsa. We ordered 2 enchilada dinners, 3 tamales, Chips and Salsa and Horchata. The girl taking our order was almost whispering through her mask so we couldn't hear her talk. It took her multiple tries and help from others to input our order. We were charged $37. We asked for a receipt and our receipt was for $34. This was our first red flag. Next, we sat down to wait for our food. Our tamales came out and these are not tamales that you'd imagine. This are fun size, miniature, dry, dehydrated tamales. Unfortunately they were tiny, dry and not worth the $1.99 a piece we were charged. Then our chips and salsa came out. Your average basket cost $2.15. The salsa was good and this was the best part of our meal, but to charge dine in is pretty out of the ordinary. Finally, our enchilada dinners came out.... Covered in sour cream which we don't eat, and wasn't on the menu. The rice and beans were on a separate plate. I'm certain the beans come from a can and are not made in house. The enchiladas were absolutely horrible. My red sauce cheese enchiladas were not warm. This caused the cheese to not be melted and the sauce to be extremely watery. The red sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce, not enchilada sauce. Again, not worth the $10 as I left them all on the table because I was so disappointed and disgusted. My one star is solely for the man working. He was kind, serving, taking orders, helping staff and attending to door dash. I would not recommend this place and will not return. read more

I ordered a California Burrito and got a Pork California bowl, which wasn't that bad and I was fine with it, but whenever I started eating it I realized they gave me and my wife old Guac. I already didn't prefer this place because it's the most Americanized Mexican food I have ever had and the only good Taco they have is the pork because it's not Dry. The beans and rice are always really bland. Coming from Texas, I would say this is probably the worst Mexican restaurant/food I have ever eaten at. Stick to La Hacienda unless you want bad guac, wrong orders, and soggy fries. read more

We went on Valentines Day, we had the California burrito, the Los Amigos burrito, a chicken burrito bowl, 3 tacos, and a side of fries, we were suggested to eat burritos because it's the most popular. We enjoyed the burritos because of how fulfilling they were. The bowl was described as "delicious and heavenly" and the tacos were bigger than we expected. But what we really enjoyed was the fries, we thought they were the best seasoned fries we've ever had, and as we thought things were great, the service really put the cherry on top, I definitely recommend to all of my friends and family and I am definitely coming back with more people! read more

Got a burrito and nachos a very basic meal but the thing that separates these guys from some others is the fresh products they use and you can absolutely taste the difference. Hands down the best Mexican food place near Watertown (we used to live in CA so we know good Mexican food) that delivers. We order from this place often. Not very many mexican food places here. Delivery rarely takes more than 30 minutes. Usually 20 minutes. Food is always hot and fresh. My only complaint is that sometimes on route for delivery the food gets jumbled around and everything will be mixed all in the container. read more
