    Breakfast taco plate

I love their chilaquiles breakfast a lot. Today I decided to try something different and went for their breakfast taco plate. It did not disappoint. So full right now . I'm glad I live nearby

Having dinner with the family at Los Amigos

We went to Los Amigos in Lake Dallas for the first time today. The restaurant was referred to us by a friend of the family. The restaurant seemed to be clean and not that busy for a Sunday lunch crowd which was good because the parking is very limited. I purchased the Enchilada plate that came with three enchiladas,,rice, refied beans and I purchased a street taco. This cost me under $10s. It was pretty good plate seemed like the portions were small but still good though. My wife had the naked burrito which was good and cost around $6. My daughter had the chicken salad which was excellent and cost around $8. I was really surprised that they had a small selection of Mexican food on the menu. They do have several breakfast items that looked good. They also have other items if you are not up for Mexican food. Some of the items are Hamburgers, chicken fried steak, etc. One set back that I have never seen at any Mexican restaurant until our visit at Los Amigos is that the first set of salsa and chips are free according to what the menu states. After the first set of chips and salsa there would be a charge for additional chips and salsa. The salsa is very good. They do have free drink refills unless you ordered an Orange juice. The service was good and the waitress was very good on checking if we needed anything which was nice. We will plan another trip and try a few other items in the future. The reason for three stars was due to size portions, extra fee for additional chips and salsa, and the need for more Mexican food items to choose from. Other then these issues the food is excellent.

Absolutely love this place! This may be one of the best tacos and enchiladas I've ever had. We ordered carne asada, pastor, and Barbacoa tacos. Also we ordered the beef enchiladas plate.

This is my first time here. Los Amigos Mexican restaurant is one of the hidden secret of Lake Dallas, Lake Cities area. I ordered Mexican pork chops with corn tortilla, rice and beans. My wife ordered Beef Tacos in hard corn tortillas. The pork chops are well marinated, not dry. The rice and beans with sweet peppers and tomatoes matched well with the excellent taste of their pork chops. Maybe the owners could use a boneless pork loin, instead and price it a dollar more, $10.99. The Beef Tacos on hard corn tortillas are spicy, but taste great. The ground beef is a little dry, should be moist. Serving Staff is courteous and helpful. Well decorated and clean Mexican restaurant. Not pricey, serving is moderately on an average side. Separate Men and Women's bathroom. No changing table, need upgrade. I recommend that you try this restaurant next time you pass by the Lake Dallas area.

First, this restaurant looks like a hole-in-the-wall but the food is quite delicious. It's less than a mile from the freeway, so it's also a good road trip restaurant. The food is eclectic but Mexican and hamburgers and chicken. I personally think that's great, because if someone isn't crazy about Mexican or isn't in the mood, there are choices. I must say you get one bowl of free salsa and chips, but the prices are so reasonable who cares? The bowl of salsa is plenty big, and it is warm and packs done heat. My friend ordered the cheese enchiladas which gone with queso Fresca inside. In case you don't know, this is a hard cheese that doesn't melt, so it's like having a piece of cheese inside a tortilla. She wasn't a fan. But we shared my shrimp quesadilla which was awesome. Melted cheese, decent sized shrimp and great flavor. This was a total win.

Food was amazing! Prices are extremely reasonable and food is authentic! Had the street tacos in Asada, trompo and pastor... all were delicious... my husband like pastor the most. I had the enchiladas with chicken. Very flavorful and moist. Definitely will return when in the area!

Best tacos around, I especially like the carne asada and al pastor. All you need is 4 of them and will only run you about $5.

Flawless vibe and killer food…read more It is incredibly rare to find a spot that can pull off a fresh, healthy sit-down dinner and a laid-back bite after a brutal workday, but Elm Fork completely nails both. We went for dinner first. Brian had the lamb tacos and I ordered the mesquite-smoked salmon with steamed broccoli and a sweet potato. It was perfect--light, smoky, and genuinely healthy without being boring. We loved the atmosphere so much that after a crazy busy workday the very next day, we headed straight back. The smoked wings are top-tier and the queso is exactly what you want at the end of a long day. What really made our visit stand out was a delightful conversation with one of the co-owners, Michael. He told us all about how they source their unique draft beers from all over--including an incredible one from Iowa that Brian absolutely loved. The vibe here is just right, and the bar staff and servers are amazing. Whether you want a great dinner or just a solid spot to unwind with a unique brew, this place is a must-visit.

It was heavy on mayo but semi my fault bc I didn't ask what the toppings were. I appreciate there were plenty of pickles though! The fries were particularly tasty, well seasoned with salt and pepper. The Greek salad is like a chopped salad, topped with feta, tomatoes, olives and cucumbers I believe. It is tossed in dressing already. It is seriously delicious. I love that it is tossed and mixed and it is sooo good. The inside is spacious so would be good for large parties to dine in. The location is a bit hidden since it is not front facing to the street but rather around the corner. The construction and traffic on Swisher really suck too, so I hope this place is able to continue on given this. I will definitely be back! No pics, I was too hungry

The kebabs were fresh, moist and tasty. The yellow rice was delish! The hummus, nice and creamy. The tabouli was great as well. We decided to try the tiramisu for desert and it was yummy. I think the said someone local makes it for them. The pita was not homemade, but did the trick. If I had a suggestion, it would to make or bring fresh made bread in. We can't wait to go back!

We entered on a weekday mid afternoon and was greeted with a friendly hello and any help to see the menu. There were no paper menus, just the menu up on the screens above the counter. There are few sandwiches and salads, but they all looked very good so we chose the Cuban Press and Turkey Pesto Press sandwiches. After a short wait, we got our orders each on a silver tray with nicely presented half cut sandwiches and homemade chips. The Cuban press sandwich was warm, filled with seasoned chopped pork and sliced ham melted with cheese and brown mustard on a grilled ciabatta bread. It was really good like a comfort food. The turkey pesto had two thick, sliced turkey breast, warmed with freshly made pesto spread, which bloomed with the bright green color and the smell of prime freshness, and nestled with melted cheese on a grilled ciabatta bread. The first bite really welcomed the combo of warm turkey and fresh pesto. Delicious! The homemade chips were super delicious and we ate every single piece. The sandwiches were so large that we had enough to take home for another meal. The dining room was small and cozy and had two tall tables, 2 medium tables and one couple size table in the corner. Service was super friendly and sincere. Their workers really cared about the food and making it right the first time. This really is a foodie place. They had bottled wines on the wall to select from and another small cooler with chilled wines and specialty beers. They had fresh made sides upfront and desserts, but we skipped this time. Definitely something worth getting on another visit. This place was very clean. Bathroom was well taken care of. This place is in a small strip mall and is definitely worth stopping by just right off the interstate. When we're around this area again, we'd certainly will stop by again.
